  1. Sensible idea bingedrinker. Finish this season with a tweak of the rules and then start next season under different rules for one season. Eg no domestic cups and possibly even play every team once on the league with a draw to see who is at home and away etc. I'm not too sure but you make a good point. finish this season whenever permission is given. Then deal with a season that's not even started at a later date

My personal opinion is they have to find some way of finishing it. No matter if it takes to August or whatever. Then restart next season around October and we would have the summer football we all want. The back end of the season big games all played in the summer.
  2. I know iv tried to stir a debate up about this already but its really not sitting right with me so unfortunately I need to vent. [emoji2959][emoji2959]

Is the fact that Recreational football is still to be played when people are even being advised to work from home where possible etc not leaving anyone else dumbfounded?

I cant work out for the life of me why we arent taking this seriously NOW. We all know its going to come so why wait any put more people at risk.

Before anyone else says it. Yes I know there isnt mass amount of spectators and its outside in the fresh air etc but so was the last couple of weeks of senior games in Italy and how did that end.

There is still 20 bodies all in one tiny changing room all getting changed and getting showered in the middle of winter where coughs and cold happen.

Its 2nd nature to pick up one of the 10 water bottles that teams usually share. Its 2nd nature to grapple with oppositions players while they are sweating etc. Its 2nd nature to cuddle ( sometimes even kiss ) the player that's just scored for you.

We are Being asked to work from home where possible and avoid human contact where possible avoid gathering in unnecessary crowds..... but go and play an almost meaning recreational game of football.

Games at grassroots level are being stopped in other countries and it is ALMOST certain to happen here. So why are we waiting. Are we waiting till some Amateur team from Dundee put on Twitter they had to cancel a game due to Corona and last weeks opposition had to do the same before realising that it's not only Man City and Arsenal players that can be infected

The cynic in me is saying that come monday after the ugly sisters in Glasgow have turned the atmosphere even more toxic than corona we might end up with a blanket ban by the SFA BUT IN MY OPINION the SAFA need to act NOW and if they havent the balls to put their clubs first then maybe the AAFA should

  3. The resignation hasn’t been confirmed yet, but the rules are as follows:

If a club in the Premier League which has commenced playing matches resigns its membership or ceases to function and its resignation is accepted on or after 1st March or the date it ceases to function is deemed by the Executive Committee to be on or after 1st March, the number of clubs to be relegated
shall be reduced by one. In the event of the Premier League being further reduced in similar circumstances to those set out above, no clubs will be relegated.
    Thanks

But miss... miss he slagged me.

Hold on regardless wether it was an ex player or like me a supporter he has no right in saying that has he is an offical of a club dont forget the guy from the region was gone yes a bit more serious but still came out his mouth if something is not done about this guy I will make a formal complaint to whoever I need to cause he has no right to slag any team player or a ex player or even the sjfa off
  5. Couldnt agree more.worst iv seen New Farm this season but that's maybe down to how good the Lee's were in the battle. New Farm actually looked better when it went 10v 10 at 0-0. How Knapp wasn't sent off I will never know but wee man was quality again. A great 3 points before the semi.

Shortlees should of been 5 or 6 up at HT. Had 10 men for most of game also. Expected a bit more from New Farm. Comfortable victory in the end for Lees.
  6. Thanks Mate. an informative reply. Hopefully the results don't come to anything

Its no been confirmed mate. The person from hanover elderly housing shelter In onthank is still awaiting there test results. It has been confirmed that a person from ayrshire has contracted the virus but its not linked to the onthank incident according to the news ( fishy I think ). The shelter was placed on lockdown as a precaution on monday morning with everything being back to normal now I believe.
  7. I Wonder why they didnt just let the 22 players play behind closed doors in the fresh air.

Some games attracting in excess of 5,000 fans cancelled in other countries. FACT.
What football do you think exists in Onthank?
Two groups of men, boys, women running around a park in the fresh air getting exercise, with one man and his dog watching.
    What was the question again?
  8. Scaremongering??? Asking a question if a chat should happen. Wow FAKE NEWS games cancelled left right and centre in other countries. Yet asking if a chat should be had is scaremongering. Maybe no need for a chat but I think we are way past scaremongering

    OK, here's the chat.
Scaremongering pish like that is Extreme.
    Whats to expand on?
  9. If it can be slotted in I think they should try a venue like Tynecastle or fir park. Just to give a type of unique experience for the players

To be fair thats a reasonable shout. Won't be the same but a decent SPL venue.
  10. Got to agree with you regarding being proved wrong. I do think shortlees could win by 3/4 on Saturday but regardless, what a season for new Farm so far. To be up there in march ? Really didnt expect that. For once I'll be cheeing on Thistle on Saturday. Would love to see them and Glenburn make it through. Tough games tho

Got to put my hands up and admit new farm have proved me wrong. To beat glenburn and dailly in the space of a week is impressive. If they can get a result of shortlees then they are definitely in the title hunt. Thistle arent great by any means so it would throw the league wide open. You could say the league have done them no favours by giving them these fixtures one after another but it they take 9 points or even 7 from them when the rest all have each other to play still, could be a game changer
