  1. Yup - I grew up 20 minutes from Greenock and had to deal with almost everyone growing up supporting Rangers (or Celtic) and slagging me off for supporting Morton. I went to the vast majority of games and most of these people had never been to Ibrox (or Parkhead) before.
  2. That's a good point. 'Thanks for writing that for me, Mrs Fuller-Pedley...'
  3. I find that British nationalists (and other large state nationalists generally) always presume their own neutrality.
  4. This low-quality, emotive argument about Churchill is the surest evidence that Britain is undergoing a kind of national nervous breakdown. It always was going to end up with idiots gibbering about the war.
  5. His perspective on the subject is nonsense though. Roughly 25-30,000 people died of starvation and disease in those camps, including young children, and they were there based on their ethnic background. It is also worth noting that Andrew Roberts is not exactly a mainstream historian.
  6. Jim Ratcliffe is an absolute crook.
  7. Jacob Rees Mogg is a mild mannered maniac. He sounds terribly reasonable but anyone who pays attention realises he is talking extremist nonsense.
  8. I'll be on the smack by the time this fiasco is over.
  9. This 'comedian' is shite. Come to think of it, all the comedians on this programme are shite.
  10. Boo fucking hoo. He has an absolute cheek, as an Orangeman, to lecture anyone on nationalism or bullies. Pathetic.
  11. I'm out of greenies, but this made me LOL
  12. Of course he was, but he is the sort of manager who expects a wide degree of autonomy that will likely conflict with the 'structure' in place at Hibs.
  13. Follow the conversation. There's an important difference in perception between the titles of manager and coach. Ian Cathro was a coach, whereas Tommy Wright is a manager.
  14. I think he saw himself as the manager, and it was probably the root of the conflict that led to him leaving.
  15. My club never refused to employ people from a particular ethno-religious background for most of its (previous) existence.
  16. Adhere to the structure, develop young players... He's a coach, not a manager.
  17. It's right up there with the 'bad refereeing cost (our mate) Neil McCann his job' pish when in fact Neil lost his job because of his shan management/personality.
  18. Pretty much, yeah – and if the newspaper reports are correct Doolan could be in with a serious chance. It's not as if he has become a manager and done quite well in the interim.
  19. Serious question - why are Hibs apparently considering John Doolan?
  20. Also, these middle-class arseholes who are playing about with Orangeism when the border has become a live issue again are utterly contemptuous.
