  1. Let's go with my absolute nonsense opinions. 1) East Fife - were one of the strongest finishers last season and adding Easton, Austin, Philp etc has only made us stronger. 2) Dumbarton - the best of last year's squad added to, a few good defenders to replace better ones outgoing. Overall look weaker than the season before. 3) Stenny - will be miles clear of the rest with the top two but will fall short. excited to see James berry in the leagues as he was outrageous in lowland. 4) Stranraer - aggyball was well underway at the end of the season and think he will manage to get them into the play offs just ahead of the rest. 5) forfar - just behind Stranraer, some good signings off Montrose which will nullify losing Slater. 6) Spartans - will hold their own just. Don't think the team is strong enough but some decent additions like Danny Denholm will keep them in SPFL. 7) Peterhead - will find some loans to push the team on as think they have some money to burn which will save them. 8.) Bonnyrigg - shitey team seems to have stayed again which is a bit weird but there will be loyalties to the players who got them and kept them in SPFL. Won't have much issues staying in the league with the below two being in the league but will be in a mini league with Spartans and Peterhead. 9) Clyde - lucky Elgin are in the league but will marginally edge it against Elgin however wouldn't be surprised if they came bottom. Making some horrific signings. 10) Elgin - are an absolute mess it seems and will be sad to see them go but not sad for the the journey twice a year. Some good people at the club but seems in absolute turmoil.
  2. I get that but as an east fife fan I don't think any of us are looking at Dunfermline and Raith and comparing ST numbers. I'd say it's better to look at the league around you as that's what matters and increasing it Y.O.Y. Out of interest in that fact what did Clyde have last season at Hamilton ST wise?
  3. Why are you comparing Clyde to these two teams? Both are vastly bigger clubs in every single way than Clyde.
  4. Maybe worth looking at the player before saying something like this... If it's the guy that was ON LOAN at gala then he is one of the Full Time lot of kids that were with Queens park. A signing that most would be a bit more excited about.
  5. I'd love it if we did pay a fee and bought him off yous, purely for the doubting comment Fash back at East Fife would be an enormous statement from our board. Would love him back.
  6. The big issue is the hill sprints that you do going from one corner flag to the other. And then from one side of the park to the other. Raise the price slightly and get this sorted and its ALOT better. Thats more what im getting at. Extra £2 per fan (900 yesterday i saw someone say) £1800 every couple of weeks will cover it for a season (£32,400) for the groundworks to flatten it.
  7. You guys have some cheek moaning about our prices. Charge a bit more and get your pitch flattened. My garden has less of a slope on it than your ground. Everything in sight was squint. Absolute hovel of a ground and the team is of the same standard. Absolute guff. Thanks for the 3 points.
  8. To be totally fair i too didnt think of that part so to everyone i am sorry. I still 100% agree the price rise was wrong but as the board said at the Q and A their overheads have gone up too. The main comments that brought my probably ill advised rant was the ones turning their back on the home games over £3 but going to the away games we play instead which will cost alot more overall. Its everyone's own money and they can spend it how they like, i just personally feel that i dont mind paying the extra £3 every fortnight if it means that the board have more to play with when sorting the playing budget for the manager etc.
  9. Thanks pal. They did though, it was at the q and a. Link here Summary of Q&A - Saturday 16th July 2022 https://eastfifefc.info/latest-news/1167-summary-of-q-a-saturday-16th-july-2022
  10. Can i ask what would be the price you would pay?
  11. Theres a difference between happy clapper and turning my back on my club. I too moaned when the prices came out, i collated a table of every other club in spfl prices and sent this to the board. The fact that taking out every clubs prices in all bottom 3 divisions was less apart from dunfermline and another 1 or 2 if i remember right was mad. Ross county was cheaper and for an extra fiver i could have got a hearts season ticket. However i have paid the price as the justification at the Q and A as to why the prices had to go up made me realise why they had to go up. Im sure if you search on our website you will come across a watered down version of the q and a. I do fully agree that alot more can be done at the club to bring the money in to help negate the extra pressure going onto the fans but im sure ive told the club that on numerous occasions too. As a fan though im doing my bit by trying to make the club as competitive as possible.
  12. The fannies know who they are. They are the ones that comment on every post moaning at the price doing their best to encourage people not to pay the price as they arent and they have been going for x amount of years and have put x amount into the club. Forgetting that others have been for years and are also putting money into the club. At this level your season ticket is essentially a donation to fund the club and in return they let you into all the games. Theres no money man to fund it. Theres no waiting list for a season ticket or a game. Theres no full houses to worry about. Its just money to help the board budget for the upcoming season. The more they get the bigger the budget available. The difference between the 15pg and the 18pg is 20p a day between matches. Not alot in the fairness of things but if it helps your team be more competitive in a league of everyone being much the same then surely the more people to pay it the better. The below is copied from the whatsapp group. 500 patg fans @£18 total £9000 500 patg fans@£15 total £7500. To produce the same gate revenue you need to bring in another 100 fans increase attendance by 20%. No chance the price being 3 quid cheaper makes 100 more fans come? They didnt last year or the years before covid so why now?
  13. All the fannies posting "£18 i wont be back" etc. You do realise that the club does need all our money to run. The more of us that go to all the home games then the more money the club has to use for players and to improve the club. Without you all its just going to get worse...
  14. The post above the guys not realised it was a pars fan hes replying to... First half was as bad as you can imagine nobody seemed to do much bar walls who played out his skin and shepherd who had a thankless task. Second half walls again was outstanding. Shepherd created and scored the first by chasing down the through ball. The second shepherd chased down a nothing ball and made them give a throw which we scored from and cant remember how we created the throw in for the third but the goal mirrored the 2nd. Walls, Shepherd, Shiavone were the best 3 on the park with that being harsh on 2 goal merce and kieran miller who broke down everything second half.
  15. The non existent 200k of covid insurance money??
  16. Church was dreadful at us. Williamson has been a stand out so far.
  17. Cannot wait for us to Win the league. We are a few top top signings away from having a team to tear everyone apart. Let's go!!
  18. I'll probably get some shit for this but hey ho. The rumours that everyone is talking about with the budget being fucked up and due to this us clearly missing the boat with many players is more than likely the reason (if they are true) the board are keeping Darren. He has done really well over his time at us and given us some unbelievable memories. The pair of these things combined will be why he is getting more time than most of our fans appreciate given most of the shouts over the last few weeks (and longer for some). It really would be good to hear from the club even a Jim Stevenson statement as we had a couple of times last year. I know if there was a budget f**k up that he's not going to come out and say. But they are currently leaving the manager out to dry and leaving every single on of us guessing if what we have heard is correct.
  19. Not commented on here in ages however feeling the need to going by some of the posts and posts on social medias. Wallace is away now, yes we are all gutted and I really hope he misses footy and comes back but I can't see it, so that's the end of that. Putting him down as "out" the games, is this gonna continue all season long? Swanson at the game on Tuesday was still in his brace and looks like his knee still bothers him with the way he's walking. Don't know if he really knows what the timeframe is, never mind the club. We all just need to know he is out for a fair while anyway. Folk moaning about the lack of depth. It looks like we have a couple of key injuries to starting 11 players. Davidson looked like he rolled his ankle. Murdoch I can't really remember. Dunsy did his hammy and on Tuesday night was getting 1-1 coaching I saw to build it up. Add Swanson obviously so that's 4 first teamers, so not too great but hopefully get them all back soon. Squad wise. Goalkeepers of Gallacher and Smith are the two replacements for long and hart. Time will tell on these ones. Defence we have murdo, dunsy, Higgins, Dunlop, mercer, Steele and pat with supposed talk of another CB joining which puts us at a stronger position than last year especially having mercer back. Midfield we have newton, davidson, watt, denholm, Swanson, McManus and Scott Ingles reported of another attacking midfielder joining us. Again looks stronger than last year (should this new guy take over agnews mantle) Striker wise we now have Smith, Brown, Semple, Connell and Cunningham too. This is probably close to if not overall better than what we had last year. Yes we had jack Hamilton for a couple months but that was it, teams in our league don't tend to get guys of that quality. Add in the young guys we have floating about the squad, Dow, Anderson, Campbell, Allan, Healy (out on loan), McKenzie and Dair with Dow being a stand out in my eyes. The squad is actually not as bad as people are making it out to be. What has clearly become very apparent is teams are spending through the nose on some players with the numbers being banded about for players. Teams like Kelty, Darvel, Alloa, Cove all paying crazy part time money supposedly and then you have Queen's park paying full time wages. I think the main thing us as fans can do to help the club is to try and get to as many home games as we can to increase the club coffers, buy season tickets, order hospitality (if possible for friend's birthdays, Christmas etc) and try our utmost to get more money into the club. An extra 20 people at every home league game this season paying for an adults ticket is £110 towards an extra players wage. Now imagine if we packed out Bayview by an extra 100 with people deciding just to go down and help their club?? That's probably pushing getting in 2 big earners into our squad. The little things matter to clubs at this level so the more folk that just decide to get a season ticket or just to go to the games is a massive help to the team, to the budget, to bringing in better players, to bringing more people to the game as standard of football is rising etc etc. we don't have a sugar daddy like kelty to pump in the money in the hope that fans start coming to games due to the hype. Its definitely a vicious circle and we can definitely do our bit to help speed up the process and help get the hype of East Fife up a bit.
