Hylton saying the players know their jobs, Innes Murray having a “detailed” discussion before signing, no guarantees of course but I like the way it’s going.

I wish I didn’t think we’re going to get pumped. Oh for the carefree days of that 3-3 game.

I was a bit of a lone voice on here calling for defensive replacements last season…
I wish I had a pound for each time you’ve mentioned it

Both appointed to support DC. There’s no earthly reason why either would be kept on, if the new manager doesn’t want / need them.

He goes to the same barber as me. I'll scope out any potential signing gossip for you next time I'm in
Fringe players?
100% behind this appointment and hoping the new management team can bring about improvements.

7 hours of travelling today so plenty time to think about yesterday.
The first 15 minutes aside that’s the most abject performance Iv seen from us in some time. Midfield had no bite and was completely overrun. Iv no real desire to watch the highlights but I want to see if Turan should have scored after rounding the keeper. Did he just take a heavy touch?
Iv got the fear for Spartans next week. I fully believe Dick survives this week but if we crash out to a league 2 side in the cup then there is no way he can keep his job.
On a positive note Oswestry is a lovely wee town with friendly locals.
From one look on the telly it looked like a great chance and his touch was extremely poor.

Hope some fans didn’t put too much money on Arbroath today
Froze it on sky bet as soon as the opener went in. The highlight of the day by a long way.
Following Arbroath is more than ever an endurance sport. Most of the play and much of the player body language was awful yesterday. Spartans, Dunfermline and Ayr are big for DC.

How many do you have missing?
TNS have had 7-0, 6-1 and a 9-0 win in last five but surely the odds on Arbroath are ridiculous
That’s what I think. Perfectly foreseeable that we could lose this but those odds.

Expecting a difficult game but these boys drew with East Fife and we’re 13/2 for the win. What am I missing?

Really like that maroon Clyde away kit - much nicer than our home kit imo. Stick some white shorts on and it would be even better. Picked by the fans from a choice of 3 supposedly.
I was just thinking what a great colour it is.

Yeah, but 2-0 would have been better.
I doubt any of the suggested changes on here (Norey for Hylton!!) would have magic’d up a 2-0. Well beat, move on.

Won't be a 3pm blackout as its an international weekend and usually the games such as those are on S4C anyway. Expect Falkirk v United to be on Alba.
Ah cheers, hope the S4C coverage is confirmed

TNS away set for Saturday afternoon 2.30pm ko. Presumably not on the telly then. Have we offended some SPFL bod?

Dunfermline 1-1 Morton
Inverness 0-0 Dundee Utd
Partick Thistle 2-2 Arbroath

I look forward to the highlights and, even with their occasional deficiencies. I won’t be piling in on the commentator either. Lad’s a volunteer, I expect, giving up his own time for the club.

Inspired management by DC yesterday. Came it after half time in a 4-1-3-1 and tried to keep the pressure on Airdrie despite being a player down. Slater’s excellent performance despite losing his midfield partner was key to the win. Great to see the team spirit, missing for a while last season, return.
The ‘look at me’ ref was awful sadly. Needs to calm down. Even when he was making correct decisions he looked like he was losing the place.1 -

Noticed Scott Allan benched in his third game for Larne after 2 starts and only brought on as a 92nd minute sub last night. In his previous match he was taken off and the guy that replaced him scored the winner.
Potentially will spend most of the season sitting on his arse over there too
Saw that tae. His overall contribution makes him an easy boy to drop.

Hopefully his big call, rescinded on Monday, doesn’t affect the result.

Can I surprise you, I now like this competition. The word winnable I don’t like however. It has slapped us in the face on numerous occasions.

Ayr United 1-2 Partick Thistle
Arbroath 2-1 Airdrieonians
Dundee Utd 0-0 Morton
Queen's Park 1-1 Dunfermline
Raith Rovers 2-0 Inverness CT

Thanks for coming and that but I’m not sure of the relevance of a Sunday friendly 38 year ago is. Bottom line here is a league game has been rescheduled to commemorate the centenary of a club name change and without the agreement of both teams. Some think that’s fine and some not.
