DC is definitely culpable for the poor recruitment and subsequent state of our squad (especially in forward positions). He should expect scrutiny and criticism but sadly in his interviews seems to object to this occurring.
I agree with many of the critical assessments of others on here but imo giving the manager the chance to get us out of this hole is the proper course. He’s got the best record of any Arbroath manager, he’s led us to some great triumphs and he’s due the time to try to sort it out.3 -

The club's statement tells it's own story - there is no mention of wishing Nicky all the best or thanking him for his time at Gayfield.
It would appear something has went wrong - I have absolutely no inside knowledge and can only speculate, but thats a short blunt statement from the club.
However, I would like to thank Nicky for his time with Arbroath, even up to his last game he always gave 100% and was a real gem of a player - he is easily one of the best players in the Championship and was a key element in Arbroath's success last season - he was great at rallying and motivating the players.
He will be badly missed, football talent like Nicky Low does not come along too often - he made an immediate impact on the team and it's sad to see him go.
I wish him all the best, I hope he stays free of injury and would like to thank him for his time with Arbroath.

Am I missing something? We haul him out of the Lowland League, he commits to play for us, he does well, he works his ticket and gets out of the deal. Forgive me if I don’t get all misty eyed.4 -

Nouble was a full time football player in the Conference in England playing at a really good level
I can only speak for myself but I will get behind them and give them a chance I just don’t like us taking all these punts when there are safer options out there

Always gladdened my heart last season to watch the goalkeeper gently pass it to a full back on the edge of the box, while McKenna, Nouble and Dowds absolutely thundered in on them.

Meant to say yesterday was 40 years on from our last day trip to Stranraer with promotion on the cards. Won but didn’t go up and bus broke doon. Some auld timers on here will likely recall.
