  1. Still far too many aimless long balls. We've looked better when we get it to feet. After a bright start we seem to have forgotten JML is on the park.
  2. It's published in the accounts. That's the total cost including wages, NI etc.
  3. Looking at the squad lists posted so far on P&B we look to have the youngest squad by far. I quite like that but hopefully at least one of our next signings is going to be an auld heid. We've missed that since the days of Kerr, Bell and Geggan.
  4. Think we should be reasonably happy with that. We're seeing some of our better performers or those with potential sign on and some of the more marginal ones decide to leave. If we can get Adeloye and/or McInloy we'd have made a very good start to the window when some of our competition haven't made a move. The fact it's not one year deals also means we start to get a bit of stability and that longer term plan looks a bit more achievable.
  5. He fairly collects central midfielders. Just doesn't always play them there.
  6. Good luck to Muirhead if he is going to Thistle on more money than Ayr. Doubt he's a regular starter for either but at this stage of his career it's natural he'd take the best offer out there. I'm hopeful we'll bring in someone with a bit more football in them as a replacement.
  7. Was at that game too. Just finished as a student in Edinburgh at the time and a car load of us, none Arabs, used to go up to their European games midweek as we just liked the way they played.
  8. Not sure I'd agree on McGinty. As @D'Jaffo says in another post, if he continues like he's been playing he'll be ok. I'd really like to know what they've done with him in the last few months. He's never going to be Franco Baresi, but since he got the head knock he seems to think he's Terry Butcher. There's a moment in the highlights where Patrick play a ball in to the box and you can see immediately he's winning it. That just wasn't happening earlier in the season.
  9. They're also still letting him curl free kicks hopelessly over the bar.
  10. Lots of chat about who we'd keep and where we need to strengthen but it was really significant for me that we had Smith, Bryden, Hewitt and McKenzie on the pitch at full time. Home grown players will always need to be a big part of the squad. Huge thanks should go to Davie White and Tommy Tait for the job they are doing bringing players through. With the structure we now have in place I'm hopeful this gets even better.
  11. There's definitely a player there. I thought last night he was really sharp in the tackle and with Maxwell being a bit more disciplined he got the chance to bomb forward. If we were able to hold on to both for next season I wouldn't be disappointed.
  12. Thought Tomi's workrate be was excellent. He was dropping deep when we lost possession to help out the midfield.
  13. Agreed, but nice to see so many young kids. Hopefully they'll be back next season.
  14. Compared to last week when everyone stood up, too many below par performances for us today. Coupled with reverting to the long ball after the first goal, it was back to the Duffy days. Probably should have made the changes earlier as well. Plenty for Bullen to work on during the week.
