  1. Hate the EMA with a vengeance at school. My parents were above the cut off in terms of income so I recieved no money yet my parents didn't feel the need to give me £30 a week for being at school. Pissed me off to see people who didn't want to be at school recieve money when I got f**k all. Still didn't help me either way as a form of motivation in that I failed miserably at school in terms of achievement.
  2. No, I'm saying that after a good season in the second, Kevin has probably improved his chances of winning a first team spot and wouldn't be unlikely to settle for a place on the bench at a mid-table first division club: instead playing for a first division club where he has previously been a success, has an excellent rapport with the fans and is familiar with the majority of the squad. Even still, Kevin may be happy to be on the bench at united.
  3. If he wasn't in Craig Levein's plans then why would he have signed a new contract? Your continuing to dig yourself into a hole over this rumour you've made up.
  4. I quick scour around DAFC.net shows that you are indeed attempting a really terrible wind up.
  5. Is Yorkston the latest in line to use the press to continually slur the magnificent footballing establishment that is Raith Rovers?
  6. The nationality is different but it might well be the same...to quote Renton last year regarding Juan Guerrero: "He is Spanish...he must be good".
  7. I'll start with the game. An encouraging performance in terms of fitness which is the main objective. Our defence played well though Ellis looked a bit suspect. Midfield was a bit poor with Davo and Simmons playing a little deep. Alan Walker isn't a winger so I'm a bit miffed why we don't play Tade/Williamson in right midfield with Bryce up front. Up front Tade/Williamson did everything but play the ball to each other. Tade was especially unlucky in the first half when he might have had an opportunity to get the ball across but it didn't work out...maybe on another day. Second half we got a bit tetchy and the fans started moaning. I think people are forgetting that we're still in preseason and there are no points up for grab. I'd rather have a shit preseason and do better when the games mean something than vice versa. One criticism that I'd have to say is that John McGlynn has to utilise his subs faster. It is frustrating seeing our attacks break down with young lads like Bryce and Graham not being give a chance until 15-10 minutes to go. Bryce did well with his goal tonight. He realised he could cause the defender problems with his pace and took the chance. With a bit more experience and being nurtured so he doesn't get ideas above his head and I think we might have a decent player on our hands. Same goes for Tam Graham who doesn't get the credit he deserves. Tam was hassling defenders and showed excellent control. Now for the inevitable 'Kill Iain Davidson for being human' mob. Here is an idea. How about you don't over-react to what is a pre-season game? I'll admit Davidson isn't exactly a brilliant player and I'd rather see others in the squad before him but for f**k sake he didn't deserve the criticism he got tonight. Ellis,Simmons, Ferry and Walker all made similar mistakes as him tonight but got away without the criticism he did. For f**k sake, I know he might have played a few poor passes but he didn't deserve the criticism and was fully justified in telling the fans to shh. In reality, I shouldn't even dignify your response with a post due to slating him for being 'guff in the highlights against hibs'. I bet you judge all players upon youtube videos and find youself to be the worlds greatest talent scout because a player has umpteen 20 stats on the new football manager.
  8. On the topic of the loan signing: it might well have been Levein's plan to farm out the new Argentinian lad to a lower league club before giving him an opportunity at a higher level. He has (up till now) done the same with Kevin Smith who was signed last summer and loaned out to us. I'd happily take either off United at this current stage.
  9. Wait for Sloanaldo to get back. He doesn't need a preseason behind him: he is awesome regardless of fitness! Well....unfortunately I doubt this will be the case.
  10. I feel significantly let down...mind you I get the feeling that this will probably be a familiar feeling throughout the season if our strikers maintain their recent form of bursting past defenders and proceed to leather the ball into the stand.
  11. Sadly, that won't happen. They'll get their usual five minutes at the end of the game.
  12. Really can't see Airdrie turning up their noses at a return again. Sure they'd much rather have teams which bring acceptable attendances as opposed to the 15 from Peterhead which is usual support.
  13. I was the total opposite: The first letter I recieved from Napier was them telling me that they were changing there name. All the other Universities I'd applied to had been in regular contact.
  14. I was quite the same until about a year ago. Walked past a local pub to see blokes doing lines of coke on some wheelybins. Only in Fife.
  15. Prices reduced for the game against Killie. Also, nice to see the club give money to Firefighters Benevolent Fund after the death of Ewan Williamson. Overall, I think the ref made the right decision and Yoss is correct: a refund would be impossible and the club have done their best to aid the situation.
  16. Also, loved the choice in music put on after he floodlights went of: First song: 'Leave before the lights come on' by the Arctic Monkeys followed by 'Good Day Sunshine' by the Beatles.Pretty sure 'Mr Blue Sky' by ELO was on after that.
