It's like a wee mini-tournament.

Can't believe it's been that long. Yep, I remember you could get all the games. Used to be plenty local opt-outs at commercial channels too, such as Radio Forth, and Talk 107. -
Bad times. Thankfully things have moved on a lot. I started going in the 80s, and it was a different world to now. There’s arseholes at every club. I could tell you some stories about Dundee United fans in the 80s and 90s at Tynecastle. One particular incident involving a fat middle-aged arsehole assaulting one of my mates who was early teens at the time. Yeah, there’s an element in our support who are trying to get the UJ stuff going again, but unlike back in the day, there’s no chance they will ever be close to the majority at Hearts. You’ll have an element of some sort of pseudo-political bullshit amongst the kids at your own club, I would wager. I’m also an atheist who was brought up CoS. As far as the Rangers thing goes, the only time I’ve ever been involved in any physical bother after a game, was v Rangers.

Or complete a sentence without "didn't they/he?" at the end of it. -
It's genuinely quite tragic that there are fans of non-OF clubs out there, who think that way. It's quite obvious who the enemies of Scottish football are, and always have been. Buying in to their shite binary sectarian guff, and applying it to other teams outside of the Glasgow pair, is a total shanner.

Yeah, the modern equivalent of the guys that used to take a tranny radio to the games back in the 80s. Good memories that! I used to like doing that as well, but I really need to get a phone with a better battery. -
Games where we have pace and a threat out wide, we normally have a bit more success v Celtic. If you manage to push their wingers/fullbacks/wing-backs back, then you have a chance. Always seems to have been that way. For a while it was all about keeping Forest quiet and occupied. Kyogo out is massive though, he was the main difference between our games against them in the first league match and the LC tie. They were a much better side with him added.

Didn't realise you supported Ross County, Jamie. Good luck in Bradford. -
Should this not be in the Rangers and Celtic sub-forum? They only cover those two clubs.

Meant overall, but you answered that anyway. Glad Rogic and Kyogo are out. Of the players that I've seen much of at Celtic, they are two of the three that give me the most concern. The other is Jota. Not seen much of the new players, but if Maedas is the Japanese forward with the shaven head, then I saw his stats from his last game, and he appears to be a very good capture. I'm reluctant to start getting over-confident when a team has a lot of players missing. I've seen it at teams with far less resources than Celtic, where they've had to put a team together using subs and unfancied reserves, and they've pulled together to get the job done. A very shite Hibs team on paper once did that to us. Can't remember if it was a draw or if we got beat. Might have been the game where Riordan score a penalty and some boy ran on the pitch to confront him. Celtic really do have much greater player resources than us though, so I don't expect a massive drop in quality, nor the task to be all that less of a test.

It’s only really an issue with mid-week games for me. As irritating as most of the pundits are, Open All Mics is way preferable to full coverage of Rangers or Celtic’s game, with few and poor updates of the other matches. It’s not really an issue for me most of the time, as I’ll be at the game, but I can’t do as many away games or midweek games these days. I’ve got Hearts TV now, so I just gave up on Sportsound altogether for radio coverage. I resent being forced to listen to Rangers or Celtic bending over a team of huddies with a thirtieth of their resources, to “ooh” and “ah!” from the studio, just to get three brief updates on what’s happening in the Hearts match. -

What annoys me the most, is on a midweek fixture card, if Rangers and Celtic are playing, then you get good coverage of both. If one of Rangers or Celtic are playing, then you get full match coverage of their game, and the absolute bare minimum shittest possible half arsed attempt at updates you’ve ever heard, for the other games. If the Rangers or Celtic game is on the BBC TV channels, then they still make that the radio game, and don’t bother their arses sending the radio crew to another match instead. Also, Rob McLean is the worst commentator on the planet. He doesn’t keep you up to date with what’s going on in the match. He just chats to the other pundit, and usually goes of piste from the game that’s taking place. You hear the crowd reacting to incidents in the match and he’s still waffling on about some pish that happened a week ago. Then all of a sudden it’s “oh it’s a goal!” No mention of what happened in the build up whilst he was talking absolute pish about something unrelated. It often takes about two minutes to even figure out which team scored. He’s utterly utterly hopeless. He seems to think folk tune in to hear his whiney pompous chat, as opposed to try and listen to what’s going on in the match. He should stick to getting drunk and accidentally tweeting Salma Hayek’s name, instead of searching for photos of her.
