  1. I heard Shankland was on 2k a week at Ayr last season. Dundee Utd wouldn't pay him any more. He'd be better just resigning at Ayr. [emoji39]
  2. If we had took the 150k from Flyde we may have got relegated, maybe not got the rangers game money, not sold as many season tickets etc. All ifs and buts nobody has a crystal ball. I for one would have been raging if we sold Shankland at the start of the season and I'm sure many more would have been too.
  3. All depends what the contract clause for the rematch says. I think Eddie will have make sure it's to be in the UK. Probably generate more money for both fighters too so it's a win win.
  4. 1. Dundee Utd 2. Inverness 3. Dundee 4. Partick Thistle 5. Dunfermline 6. Ayr Utd 7. Queen of the South 8. Alloa 9. Morton 10. Arbroath
  5. 1. Rangers 2. Celtic 3. Aberdeen 4. Hibs 5. Hearts 6. St Johnstone 7. Motherwell 8. St Mirren 9. Ross County 10. Hamilton 11. Livingston 12. Kilmarnock
  6. True. Further research and I couldn't find anything official confirming it.
  7. Gerry Mcann was a Celtic physio in the 90s? The plot thickens.......
  8. $$$£££s mean he will come back from this. Not many fighters go through their career undefeated. Maybe AJ thought it was an easy fight and didn't go into it 100% prepared. It's a good wake up call for him and hopefully opens it up for some great match ups in the future.
  9. Best thing to happen to the heavy weights imo. Opens it right up for some great fights in the future.
  10. This. Plus any of the new stadiums in Scotland I have been to are utter rubbish. Lego, identical, souless places. Give me Somerset any day of the week. It's our home!
  11. Yeah thats possibly what the outcome could be. Lachlan not big on this idea but exploring his options. South Ayrshire Council want to move Ayr's leisure facilities closer to the town centre. Train station along the road and possible new bus station in burns statue square. Also lots of nearby college parking not used at weekends. Ayr Rugby Club obviously keen on Ayr Utd to come on board to share the costs of redevelopment. If not they will just build one stand. South Ayrshire council will own the land but will give it away very cheaply on a 100 year lease.
  12. Could mean a joint season ticket? One week at the football next week at the rugby? [emoji23]
  13. I know we have all the heard the Dam Park rumours before lots of times but Ayr Utd are in talks with South Ayrshire Council and Ayr Rugby Club about moving to Dam Park. Ayr Rugby Club are definitely moving there in next few years. Its being flattened and rebuilt. If Ayr Utd move there with them it will be one stand, 3 sides terracing and 3g pitch 6,000 approx total capacity. Estimated cost £6-8 million. All parties are in talks so it's all a case of wait and see.
  14. Yeah fair enough. He did look shattered towards the end of the season but wasn't the only one. He's been one of the best players for Ayr in the last 10 years so probably deserves a bit of loyalty. Could become a good super sub to bring on last 20 minutes.
  15. All depends on our squad size. If you go for a smaller squad you want players that are going to be fit and playing. Older players tend to pick up more injuries. I would maybe keep Moffat though he has been great for Ayr.
  16. I would get rid of Moffat too tbh. Great servant for the club but for the striker positions you need pace. I know there are always exceptions like Mark Roberts and Dobbie etc but I would rather see younger players up front. Rest of the team I'm all for having experience in it though.
  17. This. Plus the killie thing DOES put me off! We've been down the has-been route before it doesn't work. Rather get a young hungry player on loan or released from a bigger team to try and do a Shankland.
  18. Boyd can gtf. A h** & a k****e. Not got much going for him really!
