  1. With our club being in such an impecunious state we should be hoping for a home tie, no? While it is my understanding that after paying the away team's travel expenses that the remaining gate receipts are divided equally between the two clubs, surely we get to keep any additional money coming in from hospitality packages etc.? Happy to be corrected on this from somebody more knowledgeable on this matter.
  2. @Dysart @jagfox I think that you 2 would work well together. You should join forces and call yourselves the Dysart Fox. Ah'll get ma coat.
  3. Good. When it's finished have it guarded 24/7 and keep an eye out for those pesky Russians, eh?
  4. Clyde 0-1 Queen of the South FC Edinburgh 2-1 Airdrie Falkirk 2-0 Kelty Hearts Montrose 0-1 Dunfermline Peterhead 1-2 Alloa Athletic
  5. The man is correct, the Beatles once sung a song about it. And the earth is flat.
  6. I've just come back from the hair splitters convention and I think you'll find it is the 2nd best home record.

  8. I know that that's over 500 of a difference but whether it's 3827 or 3287, that's a fantastic attendance for a midweek game on a cold October evening in the 3rd tier of Scottish football. Well done to every one of you who went along!
  9. Unfortunately, we only play 50% of our games at home. We need to improve away from home. Just saying like.
  10. Has Lawal been caught pumping McGlynn's missus? Not eve getting a 10 minute cameo tonight.
  11. My big fear is that because we are so much better than we were last season that we might sleepwalk into scraping into the play-offs because we're not as good as we think we are! As you say Caractacus, our present form is mid-table at best and we really need to put a string of wins together, not "results", i.e. draws.
  12. Opinions are like arseholes - everybody's got one and they usually stink.
  13. I'll take one for the team but please, please, please, nobody else react to this trolling pr*ck's post. He might get bored and go away.
  14. I'd only buy a picture of Holt if it was on something like this:
  15. Alloa 1 0 Airdrie Dunfermline 1 1 Edinburgh Kelty 2 0 Clyde Montrose 2 2 Falkirk QoTS 2 0 Peterhead
  16. Rumarn Burrell, Ola Lawal and Stephen McGinn get one year deals. Jaime Wilson and Seb Ross got two year deals. Gary Holt says: "we had to give them 2 year deals to get them to sign". I f*cking hate Gary Holt more with every passing day!
  17. Playing devil's advocate, maybe this season there is a player in the right place for him to pass to so he doesn't have to wildly shoot?
  18. On Saturday 17th September we had the 3rd highest attendance in Scottish football, away to Dunfermline. Take a look at the fixtures for 5th November, we'll have the 2nd highest attendance in Scottish football that day, beaten only by Celtic playing at Parkhead. Are you really saying that we shouldn't be proud of that fact? That our loyal, suffering fanbase don't deserve to be proud of their backing of the club? We have every right to be shouting it from the rooftops. Your St Mirrens, Partick Thistles, St Johnstones and other provincial clubs playing higher up the pyramid would love to have the support that we give our club, even as we languish in the 3rd tier. F*ck 'em taking the pish, in their hearts those other clubs' fans are as jealous as hell.
  19. Most people like to have a moan and vent when things are going wrong, but very few praise when things are going well. But surely that is just human nature? Are people more likely to complain than praise? People naturally tend to complain more than they compliment or tip someone on a job well done. Why? Simply because they're too busy. If it doesn't solve some of their problems it's unconsciously seen as a waste of time.
  20. Airdrie 2-1 QOS Alloa 1-1 Dunfermline Clyde 0-2 Montrose FC Edinburgh 2-0 Kelty Hearts Peterhead 0-2 Falkirk
  21. Re: some of the recent posts, maybe the club could get some sort of legends match organised to raise funds? Perhaps an 80s team v 90s team or 90s v 2000s? A tenner a skull to get in, the cash going to a good cause. I am sure that some of our past favourites would give of their time gladly to help the club. I am also certain that a lot of fans would turn up to watch one of these. It would be great to see the likes of Crunchie, Russell, Gunner, Big Crawf, Super Sam or God back in the Navy Blue! Edited for an afterthought.
