Going by white's interview the players really are gutted at Bullen leaving. Decent interview and he speaks well but the bit about the players self-reflecting and having some accountability and if they could have done more for him....well aye.
Meh, I'll give him a chance just like everyone else. Even gave Hopkin and Duffy one when they first came in. Expect it'll be a bit of a circus the first few weeks anyway.
Meant in respect more of the type of person he is, obviously has high standards (which isn't a bad thing) and a lot of drive and commitment. Just not sure how well that would transfer to Championship level players and how they would react to that.
So the players were emotionally crippled today and we've got one of them getting it up his own support.
After what's happened this week I am baffled as to why he has been sacked and more convinced that the club genuinely do blame the support for it in some way.
Davie White: "We had to control some of the emotions of the players and staff because it's not easy when a manager goes away. I was pleased with the consistency of the patience we showed today - in the end our quality shone through and it's massive for a club like Ayr to be in the next round."
Really makes you wonder why he was sacked at all.
Wonder if there'll be a noticeable change in demeanour from the players today, a spring in their step, or if they'll still be in a state of mourning like the rest of the club.
Any truth in the rumours there having a minutes applause for Bullen before kick off?
Mind Smith went on a twitter rant after getting beat by Arbroath under Hopkin. No doubt he sees all the social media stuff but has learned from experience not to respond to it now.
