Follow Follow Rangers. Season 2023/24

Apparently Andy Halliday is going to sign for a team in Azerbaijan? Fair play to Pedro for convincing another team to take him off his hands, maybe he sent them tapes from 2015-16 claiming they were from last year. -

Dave King is Scottish football's comedy gift that keeps on giving. Jeebus that's incredible -
Welcome to Ottawa! How long are you in our capital for?
-
Match ended 2-2, decent entertainment although the quality of play wasn't amazing. Interesting that Ottawa's manager is Kenny Dalglish's son Paul and the goalie coach is Bruce Grobbelaar, the same Bruce Grobbelaar who played for Liverpool in the 80's and 90's

Ottawa Fury vs New York Red Bulls II
-
Here is our other cat, Ivan. He's still a kitten, only 4 months old but has a really long tail lol
-
I'm thinking of heading over to see Ottawa Fury vs New York Red Bulls II tomorrow if the weather is good. I like football (not as much as Rab Nesbit) but the stadium isn't covered so if it's raining I'll probably pass.

Agreed, especially considering that there was no recall or known defect with that brand or model. -

If Celtic should have been farther ahead then is he admitting that his players were more shite than first thought? If the gap should have been bigger then why did he sack Warbo, he must have been doing something right. Without awarding 4 points for a win the only way the gap would be bigger is if Sevco won fewer games. -

100% agree about the headline, the fridge is by no means the important item in the story, it's the cladding. -
He has actually promised some money to improve the system, which is better than the last 40 years of governments on the topic of passenger trains

I don't normally take trains (as ours are mostly shite here in Canada) but was recently in Paris and took the RER from CDG airport into town. Guy sitting behind me had the most noxious cologne/aftershave on it stunk up the whole area. It must have been sex panther or something but it was making me gag.

Even though I am also a Celtic fan, I have to respectfully disagree here, having watched some of the Mexican sides and the league I have to say that it's decently strong. In terms of quality it's probably similar in quality to the Dutch or Belgian leagues. -
I've never had an unbeaten season, but I came close with Celtic in season 2024-25. Was unbeaten domestically but with 3 games to go my team shat the bed in an away game at Falkirk, lost 2-1 despite having like 5 times more shots and 61% possession. Made up for it in the next game by stuffing Sevco 6-0 and then won the Scottish cup by beating Aberdeen 7-0 in the final lol, including 4 goals from Oliver Burke.

One thing that irks me is that it doesn't have to be that way! It wouldn't even require a dramatic redesign to sort out the exit customs clusterfuck, but I guess that would require the French border police to care about humans

I just got back from my adventures in Europe and I have to agree. Was flying Air France so departed from Terminal 2E and holy disorganized shitemare batman that place is an absolute mess. It took over 2 hours from the time we got to the terminal to the time we cleared security, most of that waiting in the exit customs line that is a ginormous bottleneck. They need either 3x the number of exit customs booths or to split the customs up by boarding hall as it's a complete mess. We had arrived 4 hours before our flight so had plenty of time but there were other people in the exit customs line who were missing their flights. Also the check-in/baggage drop area is too narrow so there were all sorts of disorganized lines everywhere and people didn't know where they needed to be. Oh and once you clear security there are very few bars! After 2 hours and 15 minutes of queuing I needed a beer and took me a while to find a bar in Hall L! At Montreal airport there is a bar every 100 yards but CDG 2E hall L has essentially 1 bar and tons of shopping (which I couldn't be bothered with).

One observation from a Canadian reading this is how the f**k could a building like this be allowed to have ONE escape route?? That to me is completely bonkers and would never, never, never fly over here. Every block of flats needs a minimum of two staircases -
The Famous Aberdeen - Season 2022/23

Now the rumour is that Aberdeen want Christie on loan for 1 year, GMS, and cash for Hayes. I think they are now just taking the pish to buy some time to get a new manager in. -
I'm currently in France with my Dad, we are trying to retrace my Grandad's path from when he was here during the war. He was an Ambulance driver/mechanic and had landed in Normandy a few weeks after D-Day. Spent yesterday north of Caen after driving down from Paris, first went to Juno Beach and then poking around the back roads looking for a few places on the map. Found a small village north of Caen where my Grandad would have been camped in 1944, I'm pretty sure we saw the exact field. Today putzed around south of Caen to Falaise, which is a really pretty town. If you are this way I would suggest staying at a really nice B & B called la vielle ferme just a few miles south of Falaise. Normandy is a great part of the world to drive around and explore by car. Off tomorrow towards Rouen and then later on Areas before heading to Belgium and the Netherlands

That's what I was thinking as well, there are 2 stock headlines that seem to never go away 1. (Insert Rangers related person) says Celtic domination bad for Scottish football 2. (Insert Rangers related person) says Rangers need to invest heavily to catch Celtic -

Rangers are a bloke who declared bankruptcy 5 years ago and no bank will give them a credit card, therefore money needs to come from somewhere so either Dodgy Dave pumps money in (which he can only do to a point without busting UEFA's FFP rules) or they are borrowing from dodgy backroom banks at high interest rates. Either way they are pressing the button marked "big risk" that Dave Murray was so fond of and ended up sending his club into the toilet -

Bigirimana should be a solid signing for Motherwell. He's still young and has a good amount of experience (weird Mike Ashley related spell at Sevco notwithstanding). Plus judging by how angry Coventry fans are he must be decent. -
Heart of Midlothian 2014-

He would be second best of your forwards mostly because Hearts have a lack of depth up front. Your second best striker (of the 6 listed on Wiki) is Bjorn Johnsen so I would rate Garner slightly above Johnsen but a long way behind Goncalves. Either way Garner is my gold standard for shite forwards, at least this Stockton lad isn't costing you anything so if he doesn't score a single goal then he will be better value for money than Garner.
