  1. Just watched an interview with the Gillingham manager - “We have 7 players under contract, none of them will be here next season…the standards at this club are a disgrace” Exactly the attitude we need instead of “the boys gave everything” and the “but they have contracts”. Get them to f**k.
  2. Interesting. I’d also be happy with either. The names I’d heard were those 2 plus Tommy Wright and Jack Ross as an outsider. All are better than any of our last 4 appointments.
  3. A lot of talk today that McGlynn is a done deal
  4. Why are these 2 things connected? Remember Gary Holt worked 12 hours a day and he’s the most egotistical bellend going about.
  5. The good thing about having no connection to either board means you get to call things as you see them rather than having an “agenda” either way. So here’s how I see it (FWIW) Old regime - board full of Falkirk fans with egos who went from one disaster to another and have left the club in a complete shambles. Hopeless manager after hopeless manager and a team full of heartless imposters. New regime - board full of Falkirk fans with egos. Hopeless manager and, despite 7 signings, we still have a team full of heartless imposters. In their short spell in charge they have also made poor decisions - DGW, Rennie and the shambolic handling of the managerial appointment. Staff leaving in numbers is also a concern that hasn’t been explained yet but I’m sure it will be and could be part of the bigger picture. Personally, from the outside looking in, I’m disappointed by the start the new regime have made. However I do believe they will get it right and they do have a hell of a mess to tidy up behind the scenes. I’m definitely prepared to give them my backing but I will continue to callout the things I believe are wrong. If the names I hear being considered for the managerial job are correct then I am optimistic we will make a good appointment and hopefully that is the start of our comeback. Let’s hope it works out for all our sakes as this could be our last chance.
  6. This. We 100% made a bid for DGW but we still have people trying to convince us we didn’t
  7. I asked at the time if it was the B4L money and was given some lovely response about it being a combination of B4L, Patrons and FSS as we are all in this together. Now that is been proven to be a disaster the fingers are being pointed elsewhere
  8. As it’s classed as development football, they don’t play for points and league tables aren’t published. It’s designed to prioritise development over winning.
  9. I did not know why people keep saying this, there’s no way most of this shit are going to be with us next season. I know they are under contract bla bla bla but they’ll be moved on 1 way or another and we’ll be lumbered with about 6 who I hope rot on the bench or in the stand. As for the it’ll take time nonsense, I’m not having that either. A decent manager and decent recruitment and you win the league. As others have pointed out, a back 4 of Doyle, Buchanan, Durnan and Dixon had the best defensive record in Britain at one point. If that doesn’t tell you everything about the standard we are playing at then nothing will. Too many excuses and too many happy to swallow them. Get the fucking league won.
  10. No bother mate. What difference would that have made? I’m simply questioning why so many people are deciding to leave and so far the only answer I’ve had is that it’s somehow Gary Deans fault. Why you so rattled?
  11. Ok so this is clearly aimed at me so here we go. Hypothetically, if you were offered a job only to find out via social media that the job had actually been given to someone else would you feel you had been mistreated? What if you were then contacted by the employer hours AFTER that announcement had been made to inform you that you weren’t getting the job after all? Feel any better now?
  12. Ah yes, the bar staff from Behind the Goals and Sharon from the hospitality must be the ones that have been “stinking the place out” all this time. Watch us go now…
  13. quick get that swept under the carpet. Nothing to see here
  14. After the way Rice was treated by the BOD when Rennie was appointed I’d be amazed if he comes anywhere near our club. Hes not the answer anyway
  15. After next Saturday I don’t want to see a single one of these imposters in a Falkirk jersey again. Get every single one of them as far to f**k as possible by whatever means possible.
  16. That’s helpful thanks. However I’ve heard there’s at least 3 going. Add Sammy McGivern to that and there’s 4 employees gone in a matter of weeks. I have no idea why and am not having a dig, simply questioning why all these people are leaving at the same time after serving the club for varying lengths of time. Seems odd but may be part of a plan
  17. I don’t think you could accuse these people of “stinking the place out” Just wondered why they are all deciding to go now?
  18. I’m hearing more long serving staff are resigning. What is going on behind the scenes? Abandoning a sinking ship or genuine reasons for going?
  19. Cheerio Anton . I don’t wish the guy any harm but I don’t particularly wish him well either. Yea he was treated pretty poorly but has never been great for us and came back from Arbroath like he was some kind of legend. Better have come and gone and his brother/agent is a complete helmet so I certainly won’t be losing any sleep.
  20. I don’t think that’s what’s been said here. As far as I can see most are saying only 3 or 4 of the current dross would be in the plans next season - McCann, Morrison, Watson and possibly Williamson. However we are aware a number are still under contract. I think the point is that the tidy up job might not be as difficult as some are making out. We have 13 under contract, keep 4 to play, keep a couple for the bench if we can’t get rid of them, the young boys should be on buttons and easy enough to move on. If we can manufacture this then it leaves 7 or 8 places to drastically improve the starting 11 and only 3 or 4 of the current lot that would be difficult to shift. Not exactly “a slack handful of signings” as you put it and not having to pay off 14 players either as you suggested earlier. Whether the BOD have the funds to be able to do this remains to be seen but that’s how I’d like to see it playing out.
  21. Correct me if I’m wrong but I have us with 11 signed players for next season. Of which McCann, Watson (when fit) and Morrison would all be considered good enough for next season squad. Williamson has also shown at Thistle that he is better than what we’ve seen. The likes of McGuffie can then sit on the bench. Already I have reduced your 14 needing moved on to 6. It is absolutely manageable. No excuses.
  22. Are people suggesting trying to win the league is a step too far? We are in the 3rd fucking division. Surely it’s not too much to ask that we may be good enough to finish above giants of the game such as Alloa, Montrose and Kelty fucking Hearts. Get any bullshit excuses about undoing previous damage etc in the bin. Show some ambition with the managerial appointment, overhaul the squad and go win this god awful division.
  23. I’m not buying into that. Whilst it may be true that these teams will be better they are still not very good. Are we really at the stage we are running scared of teams like Alloa and accepting 4th place before a ball is even kicked? I know we are shit but f**k that. A good managerial appointment and a squad overhaul in the summer will be crucial but I’m not ready to start making excuses before we even know who will be in our dugout and in the team. f**k that.
  24. Love how you are back to pretending you know nothing and are just guessing. Subtle as a brick
