  1. There was no prior warning the league would be stopped with a quarter of the games still to be played either. Of course they are making it up as they go along, there is a deadly virus sweeping the globe that nobody planned for . Are you essentially saying it’s not really about what league you are in but who’s in it with you?
  2. No it doesn’t. It keeps them in the 3rd league where they’d be anyway
  3. Changing league restructure to 14-14-14 just impacts different clubs in terms of promotion or relegation and any vote would end up failing again. Can you explain how this is the case? My take on it is that any team who are currently in danger of being relegated wouldn’t be and anyone on the verge of being promoted would be
  4. We’re not going to get an answer as the 3 teams who haven’t voted appear to have no intention of doing so as clubs were only given 2 days notice when they are entitled to 28. Unless Doncaster is piling pressure onto the Championship club right now they are not going to vote and Doncaster should now be sacked.
  5. I might have picked this up wrong but Am I right in saying the voting is now complete? I think the teams that haven’t voted have no intention of doing so as they didn’t get the mandatory 28 days notice. No doubt they will be under severe pressure right now mind you so things might change.
  6. Rightly or wrongly it’s looking like this season is over, the remaining fixtures will not be played. How they fix the mess that causes is the question. I don’t support the proposal but think the vote will be incredibly close and will probably just get enough support. I still believe relegating teams causes huge issues and can see us being promoted with Raith but time will tell I suppose.
  7. I certainly don’t have any evidence, I’m just joining the chat on here. What I am saying is that if there is a JP led consortium I believe it would be the MC led consortium minus MC. Possibly a very pointless conversation but it least it fills a void.
  8. Not ITK but I would guess so. MC was obviously a terrible choice of front man so swap him for someone with a good reputation and try again
  9. Been saying this for weeks. McMillan and Sammon have had enough chances to prove they are not up to it. Not sure I ever want to see the Buchanan/Durnan partnership again tho.
  10. A disaster right from the start. Poor team selection and some really bad performances from us today. Dixon was awful but has been very good for months so can’t criticise too much. Buchanan is dreadful and was clearly terrified of Goodwillie. I’m sorry but being an ex season ticket holder doesn’t cut it. It’s time he was “rested” and Gary Miller took the arm band. McMillan should never be seen in a Falkirk top again, Telfer has shown up for about an hour all season, Sammon is an imposter and yet we could/should still win this awful league Heres hoping we see a reaction on Tuesday
  11. I’d drop Sammon and go 4-2-3-1. Miller and Gomis as the 2 with Longridge Todd/Devita and Connolly (on current form) behind McManus
  12. I agree our first 11 isn’t a whole lot better although from the little I’ve seen of Hall he should be an upgrade on either of our centre halves. On the other hand tho we could’ve been a lot worse. Realistically we could’ve lost McManus, Longridge and Miller...what state would we have been in then? The business we did in January keeping our best players was good, I’d have liked us to do a bit more improving the team I.e. sign a partner for McManus.
  13. So Raith beat a half strength Partick Thistle and all of a sudden they become un catchable?? Just a reminder that Raith are pish...the problem is we’re equally as pish. Was Raiths performance last night any better than ours against Hearts or Arbroath? Doubt it. Was anyone waxing lyrical about how amazing Raith are when they drew with Stranraer last week? We could and probably should win the league but it’s gona be close. Let’s not chuck the towel in yet.
  14. I’m of the understanding that money is available and the preference is to sign a striker. However M&M only want someone who is going to improve the first 11 (understandably). I would guess that finding that player is what is “hindering” our transfer activity not getting 2 high earners off the wage bill.
  15. Mr Dust you are very good at telling people they are wrong. Are you in the know and have info to share with us? For what it’s worth, I heard Tidsers signing on fee was closer to 10k with a further 15k if they win promotion. Add that to a decent weekly wage and he’s not gona scupper that move waiting on a pay off from us. I’m not saying he walked for nothing but we quite probably won out the deal. Bell was also desperate to get a way as I believe he was commuting from Ayrshire so wouldn’t have taken much to shift him either considering the wage he’s probably picking up at QP. Couod all be hearsay and no doubt you’ll tell me I’m wrong but just thought I’d share
  16. My mistake, thought that might’ve been an option. Could be slim pickings then.
  17. That’s my concern. Although there always seems to be ways around these things I.e the player we want is attached to a club but comes to an agreement to be released to allow us to sign him
  18. The fact we can only sign free agents does limit the pool of players that can come in and improve us but for me a striker is a must. McMillan and Sammon have had plenty chances and neither have grasped them. Sign a first choice striker (not another squad player) that can go into the team alongside McManus and I think we win the league. Don’t sign a striker and it’s a toss of a coin.
  19. Yes he has used that example to support the claim that money is not the most important factor. I guess in that particular case he is probably right but the only reason for being in China in the first place was money . If you want out of China then a pay cut is inevitable. I think it’s fair to say a massive majority go where they are being paid the most money regardless of other factors. I also think it’s fair to say that money becomes more important when guys are being paid hundreds of pounds a week (and have bills to pay) as opposed to hundreds of thousands a week (and could buy a new house off every pay cheque). Yet even at the top level I am struggling to think of many examples where players aren’t motivated by money.
  20. Excellent, 3 examples of guys that retired 20 years ago. Any more modern ones? I also don’t get where you’re coming from with Mo Johnston? Was he offered more money elsewhere but chose to sign for us?
  21. No it’s mine. I’m suggesting the most important thing in any deal for a player is money. Mr Dust is suggesting things like the level they will be playing at come into consideration before money.
  22. Igalho to Man Utd . Why was Igalho in China in the first place? It certainly wasn’t for the standard of football. Go to China for a couple of years, make a sh*t load of money then get out (particularly when there’s a life threatening virus spreading round the place). Not sure how he’s gona survive on over £100 grand a week. Hosts of others?? Go on then...
  23. Squad player is different from injury prone and if he only started 18 games then his goal return is even better so I’d suggest that to go from being a squad player at ICT to Kelty is not the natural progression. Morton to Kelty is a huge drop but is it bigger than Falkirk to Kelty? Money will always be the deciding factor in where players go.
  24. Why would Morton to Kelty be any different from Falkirk to Kelty? He dropped down a division to play for us as we offered him the most money. Had that been Kelty he would’ve gone there without a second thought. Austin played over 40 games for ICT and has played 30 for Kelty, not sure he’s injury prone. As far as I’m aware Tidser turned up for training every day hence the 3x the work comment. You might be able to correct me on that tho?
  25. Are you suggesting he wouldn’t? Why would he play for us for less money and 3 times the work? Why is Nathan Austin there when he played a fair number of Championship games last year? Tidser and Austin could easily play for most Championship teams and every team below the Championship These guys are well above that level (as Austin’s goal return would suggest) so why are they there? As far as I know neither are diehard Kelty fans so I wonder what the reason might be
