  1. No he’s throwing all his money at Lawrence Shankland instead. What’s a better long term investment, a hotel in the central belt beside a tourist attraction or Lawrence Shankland. Why are they stupid comparisons? You said people with no affiliation to clubs don’t just throw money at them, I’m pointing out that they do.
  2. Craig Whyte bought Rangers for £1. He didn’t need to have the money, he just pretended he did. Do you think Lex n co are leaving their seats for £1. Campbell needs to have the cash to buy them out or this dies in 2 weeks and everything has been pointless. Proper DD will be done whether ‘Honk Van Hell’ raises their concerns on P&B or not. None of us know if this guy is the real deal or not and we won’t until he’s in the chair but if he passes DD then surely it’s a risk worth taking?
  3. Are the Americans at Dundee Utd going to make profit? The guy at Hibs? Roman Abramovich? The Sheiks at Man City? Everywhere you look there are people putting money into football clubs they have no affiliation to with very little chance of a positive return but there’s no way that can happen to us is there. If he has the money that’s been quoted then this isn’t a big risk for him and he can come out it with a hotel and who knows what else around the ground.
  4. It’s all getting a bit repetitive. If he doesn’t have the money he won’t get the keys as the MSG will not be going anywhere until their pockets have been lined. Nobody knows if he’ll keep his promises if/when he takes over but he’ll have to go some to be worse than the current regime. If he is true to his word then things are going to get pretty exciting.
  5. Some good questions. If you are on Twitter you could maybe ask him cos I doubt anyone on here has the answers.
  6. We seem to be considering every consequence apart from the one where this actually works and has been what we’ve all been waiting for
  7. £10-£15million is a complete guess so why make that up? Why are we suddenly the only club that the owner needs to make a profit? How much profit has any other owner of any other club made? If he’s true to his word then we are going places and he’ll have plenty opportunity to make some money back. If he’s not then he’ll struggle to get in the door.
  8. Ok I present to you 2 businesses. Business 1 is in the 3rd tier of Scottish football, has a half finished stadium that it doesn’t fully own, boycotting fans and no functioning youth academy to generate income. Business 2 is the 6th best club in the country, owns a fully finished stadium with hotel attached and a successful academy. Which business is more valuable? I appreciate there’s a lot of big IF’s and a massive amount to be done to get anywhere near where he’s talking about but if he’s successful his business is surely now much more valuable?
  9. What are you expecting to see? Also, my understanding is that in a lot of cases with bigger clubs you buy the club for a nominal fee (£1, £10) but agree to take on the millions of pounds of debt. Therefore Craig Whyte et al can tell all the stories they want about how much money they’ve got and gain control of the club. In this instance he is attempting to buy out 6 people who won’t go anywhere until they have had their pockets lined. Without any money this is dead in the water in a fortnight. Why bother?
  10. Are we not in danger of over thinking this. Business man buys a business at it lowest point in 40 years knowing the likelihood is the only way is up. Businessman with experience in real estate uses this experience to complete the stadium, improve infrastructure and build hotel. Businessman employs person with a great football reputation to oversee football matters. Objectives - team improve, facilities improve, more people come to watch, hotel generates income. End result - businessman and football club both benefit from achieving objectives.
  11. I might be wrong but I’m not seeing any dirt with any substance being thrown up. Sometimes good things happen to clubs and maybe this is our turn? If he’s true to his word we are about to embark on a really exciting time. If not then we aren’t really in a place where we’ve got much to lose. If all he does is get rid of the terrible 6 and bring John Park to our club then he’s already improved us.
  12. So we get to the Premier League and they make some money. I’m not seeing any negatives and I’m definitely not seeing what’s corrupt about that. If they don’t pull it off are we any worse off than just now? What have we got to lose?
  13. Got some genuine questions as I’m starting to find it all a bit confusing. If Mr Campbell is the con artist that some are trying to make him out, what does he actually stand to gain from taking us over? Would John Park get involved if there was no money? We are currently at our lowest point for 40 years, with a board we want rid of, little to no money in the bank and no academy to plug the holes. We don’t own the whole stadium so surely he can’t flog that so If Mr Campbell is a con artist what’s the worst that could happen? I know nothing about the guy and there’s stories flying around everywhere but if he’s true to his word we are looking at significant investment in the team with the aim of getting back to the premier league for the first time in over a decade, finishing the stadium, bringing back the academy and improving facilities around the ground. I want to be excited about this...
  14. The fact that 3 of our goals have come from headers from Dixon crosses is pretty devastating to your argument. Durnan got sent off for absolutely nothing so I’d like to know where your plucking the 6 match suspension from? Anyone who’s seen him play knows Tidser is a level above where we are playing. We have enough to moan about from the boardroom without inventing more problems.
  15. Absolutely yes, they are entirely to blame and it’s just the latest in a long line of mistakes but the manager was given a budget and has chosen to spend it this way. The point I am making is we can’t have a 22 man squad of the quality we have signed. It’s either fewer good quality players or more poorer players
  16. How long is Telfer out for? How many injuries did any of last years diddies get? Or any season for that matter? Why does everyone now expect we will suffer all these injuries? Ray has said he is looking at signing one more then the loan market will come into play. We can’t have our cake and eat it when we’ve just been relegated. We either sign more players of a poorer standard or fewer but better players. Again I know what I’d rather have.
  17. He’s said he’s looking at cover for Dixon and we’ve not even looked at any loan deals yet - they tend to happen late in the window
  18. Surely it’s pretty obvious that we can’t have everything. Yes we could have signed 22 Tom Owen-Evans and Dan Turners or 18 Tidser, Telfers and McManus. I know what I’d prefer. As it stands we have a bench of probably McShane, Leitch, Johnstone, Toshney and Mutch.
  19. I can’t recall any season when 6 of the starting 11 are missing at the same time. Can you remind me of anytime this has happened? Would be pretty unlucky for it to happen this year.
  20. I think we’ll get confirmation pretty soon of at least 2 or 3 signings. Don’t think we need to worry about being held to ransom by some trialists who don’t have a club 1 day before the season starts
  21. We’re not boycotting over poor statements and a lack of communication. We’re boycotting as they have contributed to us being at our lowest point most of us can remember, they appointed a conman as a scout without knowing his background, they scrapped our academy and let the newspapers break the news, they accused us of racism, they threatened to take the fans to court over a badge they didn’t even own, they illegally tapped up our manager, they are wasting our money by the bucketload trying to make up for their mistakes, they insisted they would allow a share issue to happen to allow the fans to have a say in the running of the club to then change the goalposts and look to line their own pockets and have since chased away every prospective investor through their own greed. They are driving us backwards at an alarming rate and can’t be trusted with anymore money or to take us forward. Hence the protest
  22. Do we really need to go through all the boards failings again?
  23. This 100%. I’ve not heard any fan say they are not renewing their season ticket due to being relegated. The reason for not renewing is Lang, Campbell and the MSG. Once these diddies get moved on the fans will renew in numbers
