Walking into a supermarket , glancing at the CCTV monitor showing the doorway and moving so you don't bump into the old looking fat guy that's just walked in at the same time before realising that it's you.

Pedestrian crossings that take an absolute age to turn after you've pressed the button , the one in the queens drive in killie being the fkn worst
There's one in Hamilton that's the complete opposite of this , turns to amber the millisecond you press the button , quite fun to see how close you can wait for a car to get to it before making them stop.

I got home off night shift at 6 this morning. Continually woken up by either the kids coming into the room , her shouting at the kids or her coming into the room and stomping about untill eventually given no option but to get up at half 10 as we have a busy day ahead .
Without a hint of irony she is running about like a bear with a sore head complaining about being tired , one of the reasons for her tiredness was that I was snoring between getting in at 6 and her getting up at half 6.

Parking is just on the grass on the hill at Knockhill - the Marshalls direct you where to go. A RWD car will struggle at certain parts if it’s a wet day. It’s usually mega busy on the Sunday. I get there between half 7 and 8 to avoid the long queues and you get a nosy round the paddock when it’s not rammed with people.
The food is expensive so I’d advise bringing something with you. There are loads of food stalls though. There are big screens at the hairpin and the other side of Duffus Dip so they are decent bits to watch. Also take waterproofs. The BTCC is class.
I have heard about how rammed it is on btcc days , any idea how it is on a bog standard event weekend? Going to take the kids karting there on Sunday morning then got tickets for the saloon car race day. Should I be leaving hours early to make our kart slot ?

What's the best gig you've been to in your life?
For me there's a few contenders.
Red Hot Chili Peppers, Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age at Glasgow Green in 2003. It was at the peak of all three bands, Mark Lanegan was in QOTSA at the time, the sun was shining, it was just a fantastic day.
Finch being supported by Coheed and Cambria and From Autumn To Ashes at King Tut's in 2002. Lightning in a bottle in such a small venue. FATA played Short Stories With Trafic Endings, which is one of my all time favourites and both other bands would go onto much bigger things.
And more recently, The Movielife in Leeds this year doing the 21st Anniversary of Forty Hour Train Back To Penn. Probably my all time favourite album being played in full, one of the most nostalgically brilliant nights, but so much more than that. What a band, what a performance.
I'll second that Glasgow Green gig in 2003 . Perfect day, was just a young lad at that perfect time in life where music was literally the only thing that mattered. Went there with all my bandmates and kept bumping into pockets of other pals all through the day , top notch.
Aside from that Smashing Pumpkins at the Carling academy think it was 2007?! Hadn't realised they were back at it untill a couple of weeks before the gig , got a couple of tickets on eBay,only time I've ever paid over face value. Place was rammed , opened with 3 new songs in a row off Zeitgeist to fairly lukewarm response then when Billy bent the first note of "Hummer" the place went absolutely f*cking mental, still makes the hair on my arms stand on end thinking about it.

I'd be quite happy to see them moved to the top tier of the McLean stand. It's rarely occupied , sound will amplify and travel further and think of the tifos they could hang off that roof . Can't see any issues tbh.

It's all a standardised FIFA code for official competitions. Generally the first 3 letters of the name in English except for a few teams listed in French (esp , sui off the top of my head ) because , well why have it all the same ?!
