    Surely a Sunday lunchtime game IS accommodating for a Thursday evening match ? Could see the fuss if they were scheduled to play on a Tuesday night but they've just played 120 minutes less than 3 days after another 120 minute match without it affecting them so f*ck 'em. Isn't the whole point of building a large squad that it enables you to maintain performance in multiple competitions for the whole season?

    I'm in the camp of being in favour of the principle of VAR but don't have any confidence that it would be implemented well in our league. Taking last weekend as an example I can't help but feel that if VAR was there then the shine would have been completely taken off our celebrations . Perhaps fine if 99.9% of the people that are waiting on the result aren't in the stadium but that's not the case in our game. Could it perhaps lead to an overall improvement in referee standards as it will be quickly highlighted what refs are making the most wrong initial calls ? Or will it lead to more heads gone moments when folk like Collum double down on poor decisions refusing to see that they'd made a mistake when they watch the replays back ? The only result I can see from this is that 2 teams will benefit while bizarrely simultaneously claiming that it reinforces the fact there are forces at work against them. Could you imagine if our goal last week was against say Celtic on the last day of the season to lose them the league ? Theres no way on earth that it wouldn't have been scrutinized untill someone saw that somebody's elbow was offside when the original shot was hit off the bar , or that Lamie was committing a foul by holding onto one of the 3 people that were holding him .

    Now we're in the top 6 GA will stop trolling us with the shit of the last 4 months and let Slattery and Tierney loose resulting in convincing wins every game.

    Definitely got his subs right today , as much as I love Dean he had a shocking first half. Tierney and woolerey double change had a big impact as well and a good 10 mins sooner than his usual #changes. Had to love it after our equaliser went in , my boy was asking why they weren't kicking off yet and that's when I noticed livi had switched to a 0-0-10 formation for the kick off !

    Only noticed it once , when livi player down with cramp and keeper takes an eternity to look around then boots it into the stand. First thought was we better not give them the ball back after that. We never so happy days , if that caused some heads to go then even better .

    We do definitely seem to have become a team who cannot play until our back is against the wall . If only there was a way Alexander could get them to run out the tunnel at 3pm with the same mindset and urgency as we have when we are a couple of goals or a man down. For all that the football has been eye bleedingly bad this year I'll take scraping into the top 6 like that any day of the week, nothing quite like a last minute win but even more enjoyable when it directly switches positions with the team you're playing. I haven't heard any chat at all about our goalmouth scramble "goal" or the penalty shout we had a couple of minutes later , not even on the match thread in response to livi fans greetin about the ref coating them the game. Was it just my claret and amber specs or were those genuine shouts ?

    Taking my boys for their first ever away game . I hate watching games on artificial surfaces and I've never seen us win at livi , what could go wrong.

    We got married in the Dominican , on the beach wearing flip flops. Nobody was invited but ended up with her dad and step mum there as bizarrely they booked the same hotel for the same 2 weeks as us completely seperately. Didn't even tell them we were getting married there untill we got to the airport lounge . Just wanted to bugger off and do it with as little fuss and stress as possible. People having a big 'look at me' wedding abroad pisses me off unless they are paying to ship everyone over. I'm lucky if we can get a foreign holiday once every 3 or 4 years so f**k having some loose acquaintance dictate where your next holiday is going to be. Reminds me of a pal of MrsP's who was getting married locally but was having a hen 'event' that consisted of a week in Spain followed by a long weekend in Newcastle then a dinner and night out in Glasgow. She was genuinely upset when MrsP declined the offer on the grounds that we were saving to move house and by the time the event came round we would have a 1 month old baby . It's not even like they were best pals , lucky if they saw each other twice a year !
