  1. I believe we have to play Hibernian, Aberdeen and Motherwell at home, with St Johnstone and Livingston away.

On the face of it, those 5 fixtures are probably the best we could’ve hoped for. I’d fancy us to beat any of the rest of the bottom 6 in Dingwall, St Johnstone haven’t won in Perth in 2024 and hopefully we play Livingston once they’ve downed tools. I’d maybe like to play Aberdeen early on - so that we know if we beat them they are right back in it and the pants start getting shat again.

On that "handball", it's entirely at the referee's discretion to determine whether the ball is in play or not. I think it's similar to a guy chucking the ball to a teammate to take a throw-in, or kicking the ball to someone else to take a free-kick, you wouldn't decide it was a foul throw or that the free-kick had been taken.

If the Bayern players were pressing them into the box there would be a clearer argument of Gabriel being at it, but instead it seems to me like he's just expecting to take the goal kick himself.

It’s such a strange scenario. I definitely take the point r.e. whether or not the ball is actually in play, but given how quickly Raya was wanting to get the ball back in play last night his intention there is definitely to take the goal kick. I personally think the ball is in play, hence can understand Bayern’s frustrations totally.

    Some other comments -

Shocking seasons for Clach and Forres, Forres actually bodied Clach 4-1 about a month ago, which shows how poor a side Clach are.  This is undoubtedly their worst squad for as long as I can remember, possibly ever.

Wick have surprised me, there was talk early in the season of them struggling to get players to play for them and ending up in a race to the bottom with Strathspey but they've picked up well since Christmas.

Draws have killed Banks o'Dee, a few of those turned into wins and they'd be lifting the trophy.

IMO, Fraserburgh are going to win the league.

Hard to disagree with any of that. Totally agree R.E. Fraserburgh. Fair play to Lossie as well who have had a pretty decent points return on games their own patch.

  4. I’d probably make Buckie slight favourites now, given the fact Brechin have to go to The Broch. If The Broch can pick up 12 points between now and the end of the season, though, they’ll think why not us? I just think Buckie’s run in is the most favourable out the lot. I think BoD have left themselves a bit too much to do; their last 3 games look particularly tough.

It would take a brave man to predict where the title is heading this season.

Who did you want to see? A different goalkeeper? or Greg Taylor?

I wanted to see some fresh legs before the 70th minute when we’re getting beat at home to Northern Ireland.

Take it you were happy with the subs and the amount of game time everybody got in friendly matches, aye?

The players who didn't get game time from the 26 were 3 of the goalkeepers, Greg Taylor and the 2 injured boys (McKenna, Hanley). Everyone else got a chance. What's strange about that?

In all honesty, I completely forgot about Hanley and McKenna. Perhaps he could’ve called up a replacement for last night. Still think it’s odd to not use a whole squad in 180 minutes of friendlies.
