  1. Was good to see Snakebite play well again last night. He has been churning out results in PC1-4 and he has not been changing his darts every leg. Coincidence? I think not.

  2. You have to say, we have been incredibly unlucky with injuries this season. Randall and Allardice out long term probably the biggest blow, but we’ve had an unbelievable amount of niggly 2-3 week jobs that have just disrupted any sort of rhythm the team can get into. That being said, it can’t be coincidence if it’s happening to 2/3 players a month.

Like we did with Kettlewell a few years back, how did that one go again?

We built a very strong championship team, winning the league at the first attempt and won the Challenge Cup. My post clearly states I don’t want us down. I don’t think any fan willingly wants their club relegated as that would be bizarre. However, there is copious amounts of deadwood at that club and getting relegated would make a lot of it easier to shift. That doesn’t just include on the pitch, either.

It’s looking increasingly likely we will go down this year. Would it be such a bad thing to have a young manager, with the loan signings away, to try and build a team with who’s left and compete in the Championship, ala Partick Thistle?

Whilst we obviously don’t want to go down, it would allow a complete reset and fresh start. I genuinely don’t think it would be tragic.

We have shipped 5 goals in 2 games and today we managed 3 shots on target and a paltry 2 corners, nothing has changed. This slide is only going one way.

The one thing I will agree with Adams on is that the quality of the squad for the money spent on it is a shambles. That being said, the answer wouldn’t be to spend more money on another manager. It wouldn’t be an effective business model in any walk of life to have 4 managers in less than a year, let alone a loss making football club. It’s such a lazy excuse to just constantly blame management, especially laying the blame on a guy who is simply playing the poor cards he has been dealt.

Sylla was phenomenal. Gonna become a cult hero with the fans. He’s so calm on the ball, an absolute Rolls Royce of a player. Donnelly was superb too. Good finishes from Tiffoney and Carson made an incredible save at 0-0.

Great time to be a Dee. Doc is a proper manager.

Somebody of Sylla’s stature was always going to have a field day against our midfield.

Might not be a popular suggestion, but I think need an experienced head at the helm now.

An experienced head; like Mackay and Adams were? Why don’t we calm down for 5 minutes and stop blaming managers for every single defeat we suffer. Cowie has been sold the shortest of straws. He is dealing with some of the worst recruitment the club has seen since being in the top flight. The players clearly like him and respect him. Back him, for the love of god.

  8. I thought some of our approach play at times was actually pretty decent. We never looked like believing we would actually score though. Players are so shot of confidence it’s incredible. I’ve never known a team that plays 5 at the back be so easy to score against. I think Efete must be counting his lucky stars that his agent has got him a deal up here. He is woeful. Ayina is pish too. Should maybe have had a look at United’s defence last season to anticipate he wouldn’t cut the mustard. Midfield is embarrassingly lightweight as well. Sheaf is a donkey. Loturi a fairy.

11th is stonewall. That game at home to Livi in a few weeks just got 10x bigger.

A win here and some generous fixtures over the weekend with teams around us playing hard fixtures or each other means we have a really good opportunity to keep momentum going in our top 6 push.

I'm confident that we can get the 3 points but I see County doing exactly what St Johnstone did which was sit in and wait for the counter so we need to be wary of that.

Early chat from Cowie suggests this won’t be the case. Can’t really take anything from last night’s game, but that being said I don’t think I’ve ever seen us play 2 up top at Ibrox before.

He actually came down with us and ended up signing for Falkirk for the 2nd half of that season. It was him that scored their penalty at QOTS when they pitch invaded and then subsequently conceded in the added on time due to the invasion to effectively relegate them. I thought he might get a chance to break into the team when we came back up but that didn't seem to be forthcoming. Always liked him and good to see him doing well down south

I stand corrected. I can’t remember him in the Championship season for some reason.

Is Keillor-Dunn seen as a youth product with you lot?

I follow a EFL account and hes constantly raving about him, with the general consensus hes been one of the best players in League Two down there for years.

    Short answer is no.

Long answer is we spent a rake of money on players who were released after their first pro deals to fill out our Under 21s. They won the league and DKD was the only part of that team that regularly saw first team football. Everybody rated him; he was raw but you could see he could play. He left the season we got relegated and his career seems to have blossomed.

Toro Rosso car launch is tonight … if you live in California, over here it’s 6am tomorrow.

He’s not playing in the prem, is he?

Yogi getting the job and relegating them would be up there with him winning the Scottish Cup for The Caley (a trophy that Ross County have never won).

However, Knob Rob Macgregor's ego won't settle for a less prestigious appointment than The Caley made with Mr. Ferguson. I expect he will go for a big name after he gets bored of Don "Don" Cowie.

We’ll take “Big Duncan”’ whenever we want him, thank you.

  14. I think this is the correct appointment in the circumstances. He’s done his apprenticeship under 2/3 managers, in which there’s been successful and unsuccessful spells. He’s learnt from several experienced managers in his playing career, and he seems like the type of guy that will be well respected by the players currently at the club. From a business perspective as well, externally hiring just brings in another wage which the club don’t need right now. It just makes sense.

It’s been years since the club had a manager I could get fully behind. Hughes was a joke appointment and was lucky there was 2 worse sides in the league than us. MM gave us some good moments on the pitch, but it’s hard to get too emotionally invested when that’s the figurehead you have driving on your club. The less said about Adams the better.

All that’s left for us to do is back Cowie to the hilt between now and the end of the season (assuming that’s when he’s got it until). I’ve seen so many, myself included, moan about managers across social media. Well, now we have a guy that knows the club inside out, born and bred a County fan, leading the charge. You can’t ask for much more, and we just have to give him as much support as we can.
