The one silver lining that Adams has brought is that it’s proved to those English weirdos that constantly blab on about the quality of Scottish Premiership football that they’re talking out of their hoop (which, I suppose, we already knew).

I believe this will come. His tenure has been nothing less than bizarre, creating this narrative that County have big problems and a poor squad when in reality, they probably have a squad of comparable quality to at least 3 or 4 other Premiership sides.
He literally guided this team to a 3-0 win against yesterday’s opponents less than 2 months ago, ffs. We also should’ve beaten Hearts at Tynecastle and have generally been quite unlucky to lose the majority of the games we have. I’m not suggesting we’re better than the teams we’ve lost to, but we’ve competed well in games and lost by the odd goal. It’s not a bad group of players. He’s also not a bad manager. The two just haven’t mixed together at all. When that happens, there is no coming back I’m afraid.

Now if anyone can tell me what Fergie actually does, that’d be great.
A lovely guy, but he has had an easy ride for too long. Completely and utter jobs for the boys.

Michee Efete, another top quality L2 signing.
But hey now! The “Grimsby Town” fans told us we were getting a top quality defender that was a physical presence from set pieces. That’s why they released him to make space for, erm, Liam Smith (the man whose head United fans wanted on a stick last season).

I think Eli King has the constituent parts to become a decent player in the future. Wickens has made some decent saves too. The rest of the new signings look an absolute shambles. Cameron Borthwick-Jackson is a woeful player and I am absolutely astounded he was such a bright prospect under Van Gaal at United.

Those have always been his man management skills. Beating Celtic at Hampden and the invincible run were with those man management 'skills'. It's always been his way. He just needs to bring together players who respond to it.
You have to adapt though. The players are people, too. They have personalities. You can’t just wander in, tell them how shit they are, and then expect that they’re going to react to that. Some will have - Murray and White seem the type to relish that challenge. The rest clearly haven’t.

Am I the only County fan still backing Adams?
His record at the club surely earns more than 2-3 months. And if it takes too long to turn things round this season, who would be better to win promotion next season.
Tonight was an absolute shambles yes. He clearly hasn't figured out the answers yet. But he has always been a streaky manager - takes a while to turn things round but when it clicks, it really does.
You can’t genuinely back somebody with those man management skills?

1. It absolutely was right to get shot of Malky. His time was up, and we were going nowhere
2. Derek actually seemed like a reasonable shout at the time, plenty of experience, knew the club, hope that some of the rough edges polished off
3. First three games actually went OK, with a January window to rebuild.
4. Lost the plot in post match interview and pretty much spiralled from there.
I really wanted this to work. It really hasn't.
Bang on the money. Adams was the right appointment at the time. An experienced option who has had success everywhere he’s gone. He started well, and then just completely lost the plot after Dundee. It was curtains from there.

This is our biggest game of the season so far. Looking at our run of fixtures this time last week, I was hopeful we’d collect 5+ points and that was a fairly conservative estimate. In proper RCFC fashion, we’ve collected 1. Lose tonight and I can’t see anything other than 11th place. God knows what goes through Derek’s skull, but here’s my prediction of tonight’s Tombola:
Wickens
Efete - Ayina - Nightingale - CBJ - Harmon
Jenks - Dhanda - King
Murray - White
I think there’s starting to be some sort of consistency with the XI, which is kind of forced upon us given our injury list. I have absolutely zero faith that our new loan signings have the dig a relegation six pointer, and whilst they’ve shown glimpses of ability, I expect we’ll be outfought tonight yet again. I’ll go 3-1 Motherwell, with 1 penalty and 1 hilarious defensive f**k-up included in the 3.

A lot of games this month. Perhaps being knocked out of the Cup may help the team. Squad is thin, lack quality on the bench. Need a striker other than Murray to hit form.
Motherwell (A) - Tue 6th
Rangers (H) - Wed 14th
Dundee (A) - Sat 17th
Livingston (H) - Sat 24th
St. Mirren (H) - Tue 27th
This Motherwell match tomorrow gives me the nerves. I would even be reasonable happy with a good performance and a point tbh. Would be superb to win it somehow, even if shitfesting it.
I think it’s imperative that we take at least 7 points this month, and that has to be including beating Livi and not getting beat tomorrow night.

Portugal, France and Italy. We’re not going to be in this bracket long - just give us the biggest tests possible please, barkeep.

We don't have to look better. We got the points, you didnae.
That wasn’t the point I was making whatsoever, but fair play!

Was a matter of time before he won a major, given his form in recent months. So chuffed for the big guy. You could see how much it meant to him, too.

Because i think theyre all better than Raith, who look like theyll finish 2nd.
Anyone who finishes below 2nd will be fucked physically by the time they reach the Premiership side.
So Livingston, who are 6 points adrift having played 2 more games than 11th are better than Raith. However, the team in 11th aren’t? Work that one out.
St Johnstone looked no better than County yesterday, by the way.

Of all the teams involved, id say you lot are the safest. Then Aberdeen.
After that id say only County are now at risk of finishing 12th.
Feel like every club bar County is also well set to win a play off.
Whilst I agree that I think we’d lose a playoff in our current state, interesting to hear why you think every other side bar ourselves would win it?

Can we bin the shouts that Malky was hard done by to be binned? We’ve been just as bad under Adams, but it can coincide that Mackay wasn’t the right person to take us forward either.

Wait……what?
Don’t get me wrong, it also could’ve finished about 3-0 City. However, Nairn missed a glut of good chances in the final 15 minutes.
It is beside the overall point I was making though.

Certainly looking likely BOD have had too many draws and Brechin just grinding the results out, how do you think they’ll do against EKFC? Not sure how good Brechin are and obviously EKFC seemed to have splashed the cash in a gamble to go up.
It’s hard to say, really. I’ve seen Brechin twice this season; I watched them in a 1-0 win against Nairn in which they were somewhat fortunate to win but I also saw them sweep Lossie aside with ease. Black Rooster FC are of a higher standard than both those teams, though.
Put it this way, I think EK are a better team now than Spartans were when they got promoted, and Spartans beat Brechin. Make of that what you will.

Well done to Brechin on winning the league.

There was nothing between the two teams and I didn’t think we deserved to lose the game today, but to be playing a 5 at the back and concede a goal in that fashion is embarrassing. We huffed and puffed but didn’t really create anything of note. After 4 matches, I’m not sold on any of the new signings and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson looks miles off the required standard. Hopefully that’s the last we see of Brophy as well; if he can’t be arsed getting himself fit then I have no issues not seeing him in a County shirt again.

It happened under Kettlewell. Also under Hughes, Mackay and it’s happening now under Adams. It’s hard to put your finger on it, but I think the reason for constant defensive calamities is because there is no footballing identity at the club. We’ve been a shambles defensively ever since we were promoted again, and for years it’s been an absolute tombola for both player and formation selection. How can any defence settle when there is such high turnover year upon year, and so much change week to week.

Fucking booooo.

I’d personally go:
Wickens
Brown - Ayina - Nightingale - Harmon
King - Jenks
Sims - Dhanda - Khela
Murray
I think we’ll have a good bit of the ball today, and I think that midfield gives us the best opportunity of creating chances. I fancy us today, and I’m going to say 2-0 County.
