  1. Sacking them with a handful of games to go until the end of the season would be farcical right enough.
  2. For me it’s the style of football (or in fact lack of one) that’s making county boring to watch. I’ll always like SF and SK for everything they’ve done for the club - playing and coaching. However, the point I make is that this goes completely in their favour. I just feel as if they are out of their depth in their current roles. We have, I think, a squad that is better than our current league position suggests. We’re grinding out results here and there, and the inconsistency is just too unreliable. Put it this way, if SKSF were not county legends (or whatever you want to call them), would they be getting away with the performances? I don’t think they would.
  3. Paton needs a run of games in the team anyway. He was a bright spark yesterday - he brought energy and drive that just wasn’t there in the first half.
  4. Daylight robbery at its finest. First half Saints should’ve been out of sight. County were disjointed to say the least - and were it not for Laidlaw could’ve been 3-0 down at the break anyway. Second half we huffed and puffed but, for all the possession we had, didn’t really look like scoring once. To say we were the better team isn’t really true. The goal is sheer pish defending from Saints, but i’m not complaining. Big point but we’re far from safe.
  5. Utter, utter shite. I have no idea how we’ve got anything out of that today.
  6. Draper’s best game in a county shirt tonight for me. Commanded from start to finish. Was a surprisingly good balance in that middle 3 with Paton bringing energy, Vigurs’ technical ability and Draper’s brute force - what we bought him for. Good to see Mckay looking sharp, but jury’s still out on Erwin. Frustrating player to watch; shows glimpses of quality then cant be arsed jumping for headers. Thought Kelly and Fraser didn’t do much wrong tonight, helped make it a 352 with the ball but then 532 without it. I enjoyed the formation - suits us. Thought Livi were a bit meh. Definitely expected more, threatened but never really looked like scoring. Dykes is a real player though. Not sure what age he is like, but if he’s young he’s got a big move in him. All in all a much needed 3 points and f**k Caley Thistle.
  7. That starting lineup gives me the fear - Morris and Fontaine in a back 5? Livi by at least two tonight.
  8. Josh Mullin by the way. What a fucking player. There’s absolutely no chance he’ll be here this time next year.
  9. How the actual f**k have we not won that game.
  10. Think the boy Power will cause some problems this season, got some pace on him.
  11. I think you’re underestimating us here. Anything below top spot could, and should, be considered an unsuccessful season after yesterday’s drubbing of two world powerhouses.
  12. £9 in Nairn compared to the £8 of Forres for 8 less goals. The game itself wasn’t too bad. A couple of meaty tackles, some flashes of neat play from County with a number of young boys getting a chance. Thought Midge was a cut above, Ross Stewart was looking extremely sharp and Laidlaw is a very good shot stopper. Only a pre season friendly but dribs and drabs of it were enjoyable. Looking forward to the Betfred now.
  13. He was in goals against Nairn, just down as a trialist because he’s still technically under contract with Hibs.
  14. I know that Caley did the same thing last year and sent out two mixed teams so god only knows.
  15. I’m wondering if County are going to send out two mixed sides on Saturday to Forres and Nairn, or one strong team and one development team. Can’t find information anywhere and don’t want to end up going to one game knowing that I could be watching a better game at the other.
  16. Happy New Year Staggies. Here’s to promotion and derby victories. X
  17. Most defenders in this league have struggled with Shankland, to be fair.
  18. Richard Hastings is head of youth so he gets in the team, any man save would have to do.
  19. Drapes and Lindsay WILL form a good partnership this season. Bare in mind, we’ve beaten title contenders without Vigurs in central midfield, and Fontaine in central defence. Dec McManus looking like an upgrade on Craig Curran too. Really looking forward to this season.
  20. Does he need a lift to finalise the deal? No charge, I’ll even pay him if needs be?
  21. Draper opened scoring with Fonts adding a double in the second half. 3-0.
  22. Good wee run-out played in good spirits today. Pleasing to see new guys settling in well, Mullin and Paton particularly caught my eye. Two Dingwalls worked well down the right in the second half, while Midge looked sharp. Ross Munro looks a very competent backup GK who seems comfortable with the ball at his feet too. Was disappointed not to see Vigurs though. Where was he?
