I'm probably way out the loop but is there any official word that Archer has left the club?

Whilst not at the front of the queue to defend Lamie I think it's fair to say that he wasn't signed as a ' starter' but more as a ' back up'. The bigger question is why Mc Ginley seems behind Lamie and Mugabi when it's patently clear he is miles better than either of them. Oh to be a fly on the wall!

Yup, football is often about thin margins. Take recent games against Rangers, Aberdeen, Utd and ( until they scored) Killie. Rangers---- The set up was working until players make amateurish mistakes. Ain't Robbi's fault. Aberdeen---A game we could have won but for poor finishing. Dundee Utd---We should have won but for the the series of bad decisions by players . Killie---- Up to Killie scored we made several chances. Then they score and the players arses' collapse. Yes he signed many of the players and yes I know it's a results driven business but a wee bit of luck here and there and players simply doing their job could have seen the club in a much healthier position. I feel for Robbo and wish him well.

Anyone know if Lang will still be available for Accies game?? Asking this because Mc Namara of St Johnstone is available on Jan 2 before returning to Millwall.

Seems to be taken as a given that Lang is away next month. Unless I'm missing something I find it difficult to see how Lang would be leaving when as I understand it there is no release clause in January. Of course if he is very unhappy then maybe a deal can be struck but otherwise I don't see how he can leave. Anybody out me right??

Can't agree with your comments re St Mirren . At time of Phil's death their fans went out their way to put together a banner showing their respect to our Captain. For this ( and because I've always found their fans ok) I have a lot of time for them.

Clearly not an ideal suggestion but we are in a right pickle trying to sort out the left central defensive position i.e. seemingly no Donnelly, definitely no Mc Ginley ,a proven liability in Mugabi and the evident decision of Robinson that Maguire can't cut in central defence. And that's before we factor in the unavailability of Dunne!! Set in this context it surely ain't that unreasonable therefore to consider Devine ( who as I recall is a right sided CB) moving to left central defence . Alternatively he could remain on the right with Gallagher moving to the left. Just the thoughts of an old timer with perhaps too much time on my hands!

See Hussain name checked. Wouldn't be too concerned as I'm pretty sure he would be an upgrade on Bevis. That said if a change at LCB is to occur I can see Devine being brought in as he has more experience. Then again the shout for Johnston or perhaps Robinson might be a goer at LB allowing Lamie to return to centre of defence. As for Donnelly being the ' self isolater' I thought it was a non first team player!!! As for Wednesday I can see Hylton replacing Hylton and I feel we will get a big performance from O'Hara . Expect an attritional game with us either sneaking it or a 0-0.

Re Tait. Just to add that he is a thoroughly smashing guy who always has time for the fans. Also ,although not the fastest he prides himself on his fitness . He is very proud of his Borders roots having spent his childhood between Gala and Kelso. Last point . 2 years ago when at the peak of his form he was being touted by some for a Scotland call up. Us 'Well fans will miss him. He will do you a turn.
