  1. A murdering terrorist as an avatar on a football forum. Absolute hoofwanker.
  2. A smorgasbord of statements... The silent treatment. That'll show 'em.
  3. All of this must be so very confusing for the bears. I mean, Kheredine already has an 'h' in his name, exactly where they would usually add one in.
  4. Luggy seems annoyed that Pat Bonner and Dave King have been allowed to officiate a match against his team. People often forget that Sturrock had quite a few starring roles for Scotland. Although only capped twenty times, he went to two world cup finals, certainly done his bit in getting us to them and Ferguson twice put him in the starting XI at Mexico 86. Socks must be rolled doon at all times... Except against Uruguay where full metal shinnies are definitely required. Here he is in more carefree times, scoring for Scotland against East Germany in a 2-0 win. One sock up, one sock doon.
  5. Back when programmes looked like Broons annuals... And the first double page spread when you opened it up was all...
  6. Also, bring back the red and navy away kit. ^^^The 1982-85 one was even better.
  7. There are about six or seven European Cup winners in this line-up. Israel away 1981 (Spain 82 qualifier). In fact, the only players in the team who didn't win at least one major European trophy were McGrain and Rough. A team absolutely littered with Euro-trinkets. McLeish - European Cup Winners' Cup: 1982–83, European Super Cup: 1983 Wark - UEFA Cup: 1980-81 Souness - European Cup (3): 1977–78, 1980–81, 1983–84 Dalglish - European Cup (3): 1977–78, 1980–81, 1983–84, European Super Cup: 1977 Archibald - UEFA Cup: 1983-84 Robertson - European Cup (2): 1978–79, 1979–80, European Super Cup: 1979 Burns - European Cup (2): 1978–79, 1979–80, European Super Cup: 1979 Gray - European Cup: 1979-80, European Super Cup: 1979 Gemmill - European Cup: 1978-79 12 European Cup medals, 5 Super Cups, 2 UEFA Cups, 1 Cup Winners' Cup and way too many runners-up medals to list. What we would give for some of that kind of big-game European experience these days...
  8. It's probably also worth noting that we held off Switzerland, Romania and Bulgaria to qualify for Euro 92, all of whom qualified and did well at the next world cup, the latter two in particular really making a mark on the biggest stage. Chapuisat, Sforza, Stoichkov, Hagi et al all put to the sword that campaign. And nobody batted an eyelid.
  9. Think that must have been 1991, Flybhoy. Probably celebrating the fact that all three age groups qualified for their respective Euro 92 tournaments. We played Germany at all three. A famous 4-3 victory coming for the U21s in the quarter-finals, knocking the Germans out after being 1-3 down with 20 mins to play, (5-4 aggregate) Lambert scoring against future team-mate Stefan Klos. Here's a scene from the usual hard luck story from the full side in Sweden. I do know we proved to have harder skulls than Die Mannschaft that day as I remember Reuter, Buchwald and possibly Effenberg all going off after clashes with Gough, who shrugged the challenges off and played the 90. Strachan captained the team through the qualifying campaign but had to finally retire in 1991 because of sciatica - after qualification was achieved. Quite noble of him really. So here's one of my favourites:
  10. 'Blues Brothers.' http://www.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/northern-ireland/linfield-fans-anger-over-rangers-sectarian-chants-36207452.html "Sounds like our 'Scottish' supporters club are lending some vocal support. I wish they would **** off and stick to their own team." Surprisingly, the Stormfront Comedy Wing refuse to accept it as anything but Rhepublican Prhopaghandha. http://forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/topic/311152-linfield-fans-not-happy/
  11. Maybe the problem is that Kenny is the mole... Or Pedro just disnae like him.
  12. It seems Keith's mole is back... What's the big problem if Miller is vice-captain?
  13. Especially when Karagandy, Astana, The New Saints, Linfield, Dundalk and Barry flippin' Town have ambled onto the list.
  14. Oh, it has had a mention. It went down well... The Meltdown of the Menchildren.
  15. Just heard a couple of Tha Berrz on the radio there trying to win 'golden tickets' for all this seasons games against Celtic. Q: "Who was the manager of Rangers from 1986-1991?" A: "Willie Waddell?" Q: "What nationality is former Rangers striker Shota Arveladze?" A: "Eh... Holland?"
  16. Wonder if the Man Citeh fans will be on the phone to the rozzers after this latest outrage...
