  1. When will it be completely and utterly all over?
  2. Correct. And in that case, why on earth not let fans inside a stadium, where if anything, you can actually control their movements to some degree? It's fkn mental and really needs looking at. The longer this nonsense goes on the more not having fans at sport becomes normalised.
  3. I'm not defending it. I agree with you entirely.
  4. One (hopeful) positive to take from this would be that, assuming there's no spike in cases on the back of it (there wasn't at any similar type of 'events' last year), it would prove the point about outdoor transmission. Not that SG would pay much attention, and will inevitably go with their default, negative setting, and blame football across the board.
  5. Schalke are astonishingly bad. I know they got a point, but they were outplayed by second bottom side Mainz from the first minute to the last. Paul Dempsey making the rather controversial comment that this Schalke side wouldn't survive in Bundesliga II. On that showing difficult to argue otherwise
  6. Seems irrelevant now. Leitch and Sturgeon fearful of an uptick in case numbers going by what I saw at lunchtime today.
  7. Aye, but he also spent a chunk of it warning us that cases are rising across largely unvaccinated Europe, all the while completely ignoring the successful vaccine programme over here. Half the time it feels like the vaccine programme isn't actually happening.
  8. Sturgeon still fixated with case numbers. Followed by Leitch doing the same at length. I despair
  9. Correct. The decision might not take place til April, but UEFA obviously have to do some researching and getting a feel for what countries are, and are not receptive to the idea of fans at the games. It basic common sense.
  10. This could lead to a bit of hand forcing. And rightly so - its time to get sensible. Fans should be able to go to those games- and in meaningful numbers. Personally I think its heading towards the Cup Final will have a meaningful number of fans, as will the Hampden games.
  11. Indeed. Among others, they sponsor the SFA's 'Fun Fours' football - football specifically aimed at 5-8 year olds. Borderline predatory.
  12. I think this is my favourite post in the whole thread. It's brilliant on many levels, but in particular, A swipe at those that actually invented the vaccine. Think that might be a first. Equating scientists to IT departments. And also, I think somewhere along the line, I actually agree with you're point.
  13. Those two teams are rank rotten - can't say I'm surprised. Schalke have went from really bad to utterly horrific under Gross. Big game on Friday for Schalke v Mainz.
  14. Her speech today is longer than the one she done a week ago, despite it not being about a great deal. I'm conviced she was just crabbit last Tuesday
  15. Your on the glue now, That Celtic team in the cup final !!! The referees will see to it
  16. The Highland League starting back too - "for the purposes of finishing Scottish Cup ties" I've had a long held belief that the first game back with fans at a meaningful level in Scotland will be an Old Firm Scottish Cup Final - an absolute nap.
  17. It's pathetic. So what if someone falls Ill and has to take a week off work or something. The vaccines should, in all probability stop said person ending up in hospital. In fact it's not pathetic, it's borderline sinister. WTF is going on?
  18. Indeed. You could feasibly have a handful in hospital but a case rate that determined you're in level 4.
  19. I know that criteria for the levels may change, but it won't be drastically different, especially in regards to attending sports events. At present only Orkney, Shetland and Argyll & Bute could have fans (subject to restrictions). It's a pretty bleak outlook on this front. One further point, I thought the tier system was only for use without a viable vaccine?
  20. Unlucky to lose Sporle so early. Had a bearing on the game no doubt. Wise to take off Fuchs. But had a bearing on the game no doubt. Daft to out on Connolly and go to a back three. Had a bearing on the game no doubt. Lucky to get a point really, but top six is gone now.
  21. Really hope Sporle comes back into the side. Would be a statement of intent on Mellon's part were he to. But MM just doesn't seem too sold on him.
  22. Been thinking about this. Feb 29th last year was the last time I saw my team in the flesh. Not sure what day I can justifiably say, "that's a whole year now"!
