  1. Tomorrow isn't the time to be experimenting perhaps, but I'd be tempted to play our top scorer up top. I'd also have our best player, controversially, playing between midfield and the top scorer up top - (He basically does this already in fairness. Tracking back and helping out defensively, has become a big part of his game, particularly this season) McNulty on the bench. We'll still get beaten anyway, so doesn't really matter.
  2. You can sense the excitement in her reading that
  3. Do we know the players are competent? Cause I see Smith, Robson, Reynolds, Harked among others and think otherwise.
  4. Not many on this forum, but plenty on others and Facebook / Twitter bams
  5. Some Dundee United fans' sense of entitlement and lack of financial awareness is really quite astonishing. Folk wanting us to spend our way out of trouble by hiring and firing managers and moaning we didn't XYZ player. All of this against a backdrop of a global pandemic which, aside from a few thousand season tickets sales, has seen the club have no regular income to speak of for nearly a year. We're the only team in the league to sign no one in January. Asked the players to take a 20% wage deferral. Receiving hand outs from DUSF. But aye, let's sack the latest manger and get another in. If it was guaranteed to keep us up, then yes. But as far as I can see it's a gamble the club simply can't afford.
  6. There was indeed a fleeting mention. Alongside a few mentions of "we don't know about transmission yet"
  7. I doubt she will. She's a fairly frequent tweeter, but in the last seven days she's not tweeted anything about; The Novavax vaccine The J&J vaccine The Oxford vaccine transmission findings. She has tweeted about; Managed Quarantine Extending Lockdown Restrictions Leanne Chrichton retiring The cleaners in the Scottish Parliament
  8. I stumbled on this last night. After it they interviewed Jason Leitch. It was like the story about transmission and the Oxford vaccine hadn't broken. Am I wrong in thinking that news is the best news we've had in all this?
  9. Barbados variant in a week or two seems a stick on
  10. If you ever see this Thomas Moore on Sky News , the excitement in his voice is tangible at every new 'worrying' development. Suspect he's wracking up a pile of overtime the now.
  11. She can counter that though by extending lockdown and imposing tougher quarantine restrictions.
  12. I could be wrong but, I believe Bruce Anderson going to Hamilton means we'll be the only Premier League team not to sign anyone. A pretty clear indication of where our finances are at.
  13. But it is a "race". A race against the virus, as acknowledged by NS herself. A race we're currently getting horsed in.
  14. I don't think it is that to be honest. I just think 'cautiousness' at every turn, and flagging up every negative piece of news there is, but less so with postive stories (SA variant mentioned today, but Novavax and J&J vaccines never has been), has just become so entrenched in their position that its their default setting now.
  15. I can't for the life of me fathom why, but her enthusiasm for vaccines just doesn't seem to be there. Restrictions on the other hand.....
  16. We're in the rather unfortunate position of being saddled with a load of shite players on long, expensive contracts, a (possibly) shite manager, being penniless and having next to no income in the midst of a global pandemic. The only positive is the points we've got on the board. Bleak!
  17. I'd go further and take two of the three out, and play Appere (who played well in the all too brief outing he got recently)
  18. We look every inch the championship team that we are.
  19. Possibly because she hasn't appeared at the daily briefing since they were announced. Jeezo man lighten up just a little bit on the doom and gloom stuff. She has Twitter, and tweets fairly frequently.
  20. Good news that about the injured players. Could do with Chalmers back too. If his Fuchs' first few games were anything to go by, it might take him a couple of games to get back to match fitness.
