Embows correct claim was 10 years and If we are dealing only in facts.

    You said.

"1927 Scottish Cup final - runners up, 1938 Scottish Cup final - Winners, 1948 Scottish League Cup final - Winners, 1950 Scottish Cup final - runners up, 1950 Scottish League Cup final - Winners, 1954 Scottish League Cup final - Winners"

All perfectly true, but only half the tale and little to do with Embow's statement of 10 years EFFC supremacy (which is actually wrong but a different reason) .

    In reality.

1927 East Fife reached the final but failed to win promotion from Division 2, where as Rovers were promoted that season and for good measure beat the Fife twice that season (all facts backed up by John Litsters ANS Bible).

1938 Won the cup but failed to win promotion from Division 2, Raith on the other hand did, they were promoted as champions despite losing twice in the league and  in the QF replay to Fife.

Fife's glory years/The not even (sorry Embow) 10 Years East Fife were better,

1948 East Fife won the LC and were promoted as champ's, Raith finished 4th. Raith won 2 and lost 1 of the 2 games against East Fife. (How did you work that one out?)

1950 East Fife won the LC  and finished 4th in Div 1 Raith finished 9th  Raith W3 L1 D1 in 5 meetings (Competitions please?)

1954 east Fife win LC and finish 6th, Raith 12th. 3 draws from 3 meetings.

    1954-55 EFFC 11th, RRFC14th,

    1955-56 EFFC 12th, RRFC 11th

    1956-57 EEFC15th, RRFC 4th.

    1957-58  EFFC 17th (R) RRFC 7th.

I didn't even have to go far for this info as it most of it was well documented in the Raith programmes against East Fife last season.

    And your point is?

I was only referring to actual silverware wins. But I take your point that 1938 to 1954 is more than 10.

As has been pointed out.....in your sepia dreams

    What a load of nonsense!

Yes East Fife had a very good team for about 10 years over 70 years ago and have a few more cup wins but really!

Everything goes in cycles but Raith have always been one of the bigger of the Fife clubs and until last season have had the hex over the men from Methil for around 30 years.

And it's good night from me and A Guid New Year tae and an' a'.

Eh? A bit more than 10 years.

1927 Scottish Cup final - runners up

1938 Scottish Cup final - Winners

1948 Scottish League Cup final - Winners

1950 Scottish Cup final - runners up

1950 Scottish League Cup final - Winners

1954 Scottish League Cup final - Winners

That was shite, their keeper wasting time for a draw again was embarrassing. Couldn't wait to get back over the forth road bridge. Paid actual money, twice, to watch these shite teams. The things we do for the things we love

The keeper was takin his time as we had a man off the pitch at the time, not because we were looking to get the draw.

And the laws of the game permit 'delaying' do they? Petty but still  a valid point.

I'm afraid you can't complain about delay tactics, Airdrie even get their "grown up" ball boys at Penny Cars, to take an age to dry the ball with a towel when an Airdrie player takes a throw, but only when they have taken a lead.

Rovers have a mix of full  and part time players. Most part time teams in the division have players on loan who are training full time. I believe your goalscorer today is one of them. If you look at teams such as Alloa and Arbroath who are holding there own in a league above, it proves that at lower league level when you add in loan players from the premier league and players recently released from full time teams with a core of top end semi pro's, the difference is very small if anything.

It's not like all the east fife players have just finished a 12 hour shift down the pit whilst the multi millionaire rovers players are at home in there mansions.

You mean like when we won the Scottish cup?
