You're in danger of coming across like a Morton fan here; gloating about past achievements that occurred long before you were ever born. So what?

Yes, most of us can probably recite that we won the Scottish Cup in 1913 and 1957. It's part of my family history because I know that my grandfather was at the first match and that my newly-wed parents were at the second. My father also attended the League Cup final that you lot beat us in a decade (ish) previously.

None of that makes me feel I have bragging rights over other teams. I wasn't there to see any of it after all.

I do take pride in the achievements that I've witnessed though. Championship titles won, promotions, playing in Europe, Challenge cup wins, three Scottish cup finals (getting there was always more enjoyable than the big day itself), the magic of Stainrod, Latapy and Crunchie, beating Celtic at four separate grounds, witnessing defeats of the Old Firm rise into double figures and of course a multitude of humiliations that we've inflicted on the Edinburgh twins.

My 41 seasons watching Falkirk have given a lot of highlights. I don't recall much from Raith, other than a League Cup win and taking a lead against Bayern Munich, but at least their fans have something to look back on.

What do East Fife have? Please enlighten me.

A closet Raith fan, eh? :thumbsdown  Who is bragging?  Facts have just been stated, whether or not you like those facts.

That we did, and most of us are old enough to have witnessed it :)

It's not about watching games though, it's about our cup finals, which was erroneously implied were playing against Raith Rovers. :thumbsdown

So answer the question, what are your (Raith Rovers FC) cup finals, or was it the only one?  And can you confirm if any were won (or lost) on penalties please?

I'm sure the Falkirk fans would have no bother in answering that question about their club's major achievements, if asked?

East Fife certainly raise their game it's your cup final.

No, that is wrong Frank.  To clarify, our Scottish Cup finals were in 1927, 1938 (Winners) and 1950.

Our League Cup finals were in 1947 (Winners), 1949 (Winners) and 1953 (Winners).  All wins were outright wins, with no penalty shoot outs.

What are the Raith Rover cup finals, (penalty shoot outs not counted)?

Our best players are only just now coming back or are still out from long term injury. The same happened the season before. On Saturday at Dumbarton Hendry our playmaker was fouled the whole game - at one point he was fouled 5 times in a row by the same player before the ref took action. Yes, we're talking fact, what "fact" are you on about?

Did your players never get injured when in the Championship like??

The fact I am talking about is that YOU are being arrogant.

It's natural for fans of teams coming down from a higher league to be optimistic at getting back to where the think they belong; no fault there, its not arrogance. But as we found out everyone will be gunning for you, the tackling is  often brutal  - we lost all our quick skillful players to long term injury, and they got no protection from the refs who are generally of an even worse standard than the Championship. Forget about playing teams off the park,  most teams wont let you play.

Your whole post epitomises total arrogance mate.

I’m all for optimism but I’m not sure where you’re getting 9 all ticket games from.
Last season both Derby games weren’t sold out , East Fife have played Motherwell & St Mirren in the cups at Bayview with both falling well short of capacity.
So yes a season ticket will guarantee you a ticket for the Rangers game but it’s hardly needed for entry to other games.

I don't remember us playing Derby once last year, never mind twice?

What's wrong with using the word questionable? Fifer67 was only stating what most of us felt on the day. For all that has been good over the last 3 games, our progress in this competition will more than likely be halted due to a below par performance at Central Park. Had we played anything like the standard of the last 2 games, we would be comfortably in the next round as group winners. Now we have to rely on 2 teams "not" doing the obvious tomorrow. Darren has set standards , and these we applaud, and he himself said that the Cowdenbeath performance wasn't at East Fife standard.

Not getting a result and not being committed are two different things and I say again, it is out of order to tar the team as being not committed, end of.  Do you think that commitment is something that is switched on or off from week to week?  The comment was not justifiable.  Is the OP or you, committed when it suits you when it comes to supporting the team?  Yes is probably the answer, so would you like to read that your commitment is questionable?  It was an unnecessary comment.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣  Ah jist cannae stop laughing at the Rovers 🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣.  Sorry Frankie, but it is difficult not to laugh at you and your pathetic team.  Do you know just how many major honours East Fife have won in comparison to the Rovers by any chance? 🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣

We really have got back our cup fighting spirit under Darren Young, some excellent cup performances in the last couple of seasons. Nothing like confidence to start the league campaign. Darren got a headache who to leave out next week as 15 players have made a decent shout for a starting slot. Going to be a few guys dissapointed but great to have competition for places at this level.. All credit to Darren for attracting decent players to the club. Would be a real shame if we missed out in a last 16 place. The least the players deserve for their effort this week. The bread and butter starts next week I only hope the players take the same effort and commitment into less glamorous games. We all seen what happened at Central Park when our attitude and fight was questionable.

What's with the "questionable" patter?  I could say the same about your commitment as an EF supporter, but I won't because you clearly are a supporter, but to say the players have "questionable commitment" is way out of order.  We can't win every game but that isn't down to "questionable commitment".

I never said the previous one was better, it shouldn’t have been seeded. There will always be more chance of a ‘giant killing’ over 1 game than 4 games.

The penalty bonus point and the fact that over half of the teams are out in July just kills the interest for me and a lot of fans. You can see the same applies to a lot of managers who use it as a rotation/pre-season tournament. The Portuguese version of the tournament has a group stage much later.

" The penalty bonus point and the fact that over half of the teams are out in July just kills the interest for me and a lot of fans "

If it is a straight knock out, after one round 50% of teams are out, that is one game they have had.  After round two another 25% are out, so I don't get your argument?  At least in the league format, teams are guaranteed 4 games and one game doesn't end their hopes.  The penalty shoot outs give more entertainment for your money.  The truth is that the fans of teams that get put out at the group stage, are just making excuses for their teams poor showing.  In all likelihood, their teams interest in the League Cup would still end in July, or whenever the first round date is.
