Why are other teams fans desperate to defend the quality of the league. It’s rubbish. Doesn’t mean we aren’t rubbish too, and we certainly deserve to be here after last year, but let’s not pretend it’s something that it’s not.

You are not getting it.  Nobody is defending anything regarding the quality of league 1, the quality insults are just a figment of your imagination.

The Championship teams that get relegated were the worst, crappiest teams when in that league.  That doesn't mean the other Championship teams who didn't get relegated played quality football, it simply means you were the worst and crappiest.  The others can only claim to not being the worst and crappiest, certainly they cannot claim that they played quality football, I have witnessed that fact.  If you think otherwise, then you are kidding yourself on.

What people are saying is that the league is competitive and even the full time teams will not have an easy time of it basically.  So please, give the rest of us a break from the continual jibes from some of your supporters.  The Raith boys were guitly of the same shite when relegated, but now in their 3 L1 season, they are beginning to realise the folly of the shite they were posting.

Managed to cut out Dowds chance completely & just for completeness there was a double substitution (30 secs) & a single one (30 secs) so one minute was the right injury time. Referring to the EF players by number rather than name very poor!

I thought the Rovers were bad enough with their usually heavily biased highlights, but I think the Bairns top that, after watching theirs.

I was at the bar standing in front of a smelly b*****d sitting down near the corner, the end of the day you shouldn’t be selling 2 years out of date beer or am I wrong and they didn’t purposely put all the out of date to the front of the fridge and hope no one complained if it was any where else you would be moaning your tits off but because it’s your own club your trying to defend it

I witnessed the bottles being emptied, so you are telling porkies pal.

Besides, I think the bar is run by another company, not East Fife?

Folk were smaller back in those days.

Biggest crowd I personally saw in there was for a friendly with Man Utd for Jimmy Bonthrone's testimonial. Probably less than half of the 22k and it felt pretty packed.

Just wondering,  because I can’t find any decent interior pictures, how did they ever get over 22,000 in there for a Raith/East Fife fixture?

There were turnstiles at the four corners of the ground.

Watching this game on TV and makes you realise just how terrible that stadium is for atmosphere. Looks shit and sounds shit.

Stadiums don't make atmosphere, spectators do that especially if there is something to cheer about.  There was plenty of atmosphere at the Hearts game.

An awful display.Dont blame the young lads that came in.They got no help at all..The attitude of most of the senior players was poor, particularly those who have not been regular starters.Perhaps the squad isn’t as strong as we all thought.

It was a poor display, but bear in mind there were 5 outfield changes to the team, 3 of which were young and relatively inexperienced at this level.  They were certainly not to blame because of that, so if the manager wants to give them game time, it is unfair on any player to be expected to shine when playing in a team with 5 changes and with other newcomers.  A young player, or any new player for that matter, should be given game time when possible, in a full strength team and judged on how well he plays within that team, not a weakened team.

I’m sure I just wrote “it’s easy to say get a season ticket” in the first part of my post, let me check... yes I did!!!

But the question remains, say DY takes us up to the Championship this season and for Season 2020-21 we reach the the magic number of say 800 Season Tickets sold, home end holds 990, assume the Club needs approx 190 for Hospitality, comps, sponsors etc. Although the figure could possibly be more. Does Bayview become a closed shop or will necessity force the Club to expand the ground or could we ban away fans from games and aim for 1980 Season Tickets???

Just playing Devils advocate here, but it does appear that the Club is actually being so well run that we may end up in a position where the Club may not be able to fully capitalise on any subsequent success!!!

Yes, I'm sure you did, let me check, yes you did,  But I was just making the point because the topic up to this point has been about getting tickets for Cup games, so just re-affirming the solution in relation to us being in the Championship, which would be to buy a season ticket.  Does that make you feel better?

Not putting your idea down but do any other Club run a system like this, how easy is it to set up and implement???
But it’s clear something is needing to be done, it’s easy to say get a Season Ticket and you’ll get a ticket but with the way the Club is going, this sort of situation is going to be a common problem, our Club is getting regular “decent” Cup runs since DY’s tenure began, our results are getting better, “true” crowd figures are on the up, say if we get promoted, nearly every game in the Championship would be all-ticket. It could be a nightmare!!!

In that case, it would be better for regular fans to commit to a season ticket therefore guaranteeing entry to all league games.

Where on earth have you built a team that would survive in the Championship? You're not in the Championship. Which means you've possibly built a team that gets you OUT of league one. The disrespect that emanates from you and your fellow Falkirk fanboys reeks of pish. Ok. You've been relegated. You're not that good. Thats accepted. But wheres the Billy Big Balls attitude coming from?

Yes as I said we are very deservedly in the League we should be in following last years displays. No disrespect Ester but we have a team of full time players. What do your players do during the week?

What do your full time team do during the week?  It wasn't enough obviously.

I just think the club can do more, absolutely zero effort to help out fans who pay at the gate every week. Us gate payers probably pay more in season than the price of a season ticket. Is that tree still there?

The season ticket is a commitment and many fans with a season ticket cannot attend every league match, so could very well be paying more than pay at the gate fans over a season.  It also gives the club a cash income at the start of the season which helps them budget for the season better.

It's a total fantasy you thinking everyone is "gunning" for Raith Rovers and out to hurt or injure your players, more than they would be any other team.

East Fife certainly raise their game it's your cup final.

I thought we'd done the 'how many points should we win the league by to death last week. Mibbes not.

Generally, second placed teams over the past half dozen or so seasons have finished with between 61-67 points. Raith 2 seasons ago achieved 75 points, which is a real outlier.

The average (as calculated by someone else on another thread) points accrued by the league winner is 76 points. Shankland powered Ayr achieved this 2 seasons ago, 1 point ahead of Raith.

Most seasons 76 points is good enough for a 10+ point lead.

Putting 76 points into context, the season I rank as the most entertaining I've seen was 2002-03. Other 30 somethings like myself, too young to have properly experienced Jeffries, will probably agree. That season, jobby's team with Samuel, Coyle, Yogi and the gang finished with 81 points, 9 ahead of Clyde. In that context, 76 is probably a decent points total.

Having made it this far through this post, you'll be wondering what that looks like. On average, it's 19 points per quarter. You could have 5 wins and 4 draws OR 6 wins, one draw and 2 losses.

Over a season it could mean 22 wins 10 draws and 4 losses.

That, usually, will mean you win the league by a double figures amount, but you cannot control how another team may do in any given season.

    You need help.
