  1. Entirely is possibly too strong. Largely maybe more appropriate. Seems to me that most of the conversation about the economy of an independent Scotland features oil oil oil.
  2. If done overnight, on a world scale then yes. A gradual process of moving from fossils fuels to renewables is how we all have to operate. I'd quite like to see scotland at the forefront of countries moving to disassociate ourselves from those practices. My point was more aimed at the SNP apparently basing scotlands future prospects, be it independent (hopefully) or not, entirely on all our oil reserves. When really if they are serious about scotland being a green, sustainable country we should not be promoting the extraction of oil as much.
  3. We should be leaving all the fossil fuels where they are. The SNP have made some positive steps with renewables and I hope they continue to do so. But talk a whole load of shite in general surrounding green policies and climate change. Any green principles they have had have been shown to disappear at the sight of big bucks.... i.e the trump golf course in Aberdeenshire, which led to destruction of protected environmental areas. Not enough done on climate change imo
  4. Well in montrose. Some season for you lot. Away up and join your Angus brothers in the championship
  5. It's a horrible song, and absolutely f**k all to do with football
  6. If he's serious about resting players then it's a perfect chance to give ecrepont a game, don't think he will tho.
  7. Dont really care what happens here, care even less about us winning this after today's win. Would be nice to repay the favour. Then again sealing 3rd would be nice. Whatever. ooo aaa alloa
  8. IIRC Smith was out of position having been slightly forward and his space wasn't covered very well. Lack of closing the cross and a completely free header in the middle. Right between the two CB's. No one near him. Feared the worst after that but we have recovered well.
  9. In spells we've played pretty well, the best for a while. McCowan has looked very promising so far. The goal was a terrible one to give away.
  10. Tbh I think McCall's stubbornness and poor tactics were as much to blame (if not more) for Tuesday's performance as players not turning up. Please no Hoofball today. Please
  11. I win today would be excellent as we are in desperate need of one, especially seem as we are heading into the play offs soon and need at least a little bit of form. I just don't see us getting it just now but you never know.
  12. The game on Tuesday was absolutely pathetic. Guess it's just ritual that has me headed along today.
  13. Going along this in the hope we don't get absolutely pumped....
  14. John Lambie and Lochwood would get on awfa well
  15. When we don't have the directness of Shanklands hold up play I think our best option is the quick short passing that Moffat, Forrest etc seem to enjoy. Get the feeling Miller would be good at that but he's never really been played in a suitable position for it which as you say would be just off to the striker to either side. Will be interesting to see if there's any attempt to loan him in again next season. Was crying out to just have someone take some shots at goal, Miller isn't the player for it and Moffat looked off the pace again to me.
  16. Yep agree with that. Certainly not a striker but trust some of our fans to have a go at him all game long as he tries to bring down long balls against a 6'5 centre half. Felt the atmosphere was particularly toxic today. More so than usual but I guess predictable with how poor we were.
  17. We are honestly so lucky that everyone else in this league are shite and that they have been shite for 3 months longer than us this season. Going to Somerset has really become a chore again.
  18. So the bellrock folk are the only people who are capable of creating an atmosphere? We should give all credit for any good atmosphere/singing to the bellrock. Clearly the only supporters who care enough. Not the first time I've heard this kinda statement. Utter nonsense The bellrock run buses to games, I struggle to see what they have got to do with drums or whether or not there is an atmosphere. Also disagree with the "best atmosphere in the league" drivel.
  19. Damn, was expecting more from all this the way folk were reacting. What did he say about said supporters club and former players tho? Anything good
