  1. We need some good old McCall era 30 seconds videos of him talking about "getting the punters back" and "get up there and back them". While on the face of it those kinds of things seemed a bit naff, at least it was something. Hopefully a lot of the media ideas folk have suggested on here recently are part of future plans. Some of the social media content and engagement from clubs further down the chain than us (Stenhousemuir, Stranraer etc) is pretty impressive. Happy with an increased relationship with UWS, hopefully it means we can really address some of the deficiencies on that side of the club. I wouldn't be too bothered by stuff like the highlights not being up on the evening of matchday (or even on the weekend of) if i knew the club were communicating and trying to get folk on board in lots of other ways.
  2. Brechin's demise after their season in the Championship is mental. Spending over a decade consecutively in the 3rd tier, as a relatively competitive side (some good seasons, some bad), then having a completely unexpected promotion to the 2nd tier - for the first time in around 15 years - leading to an embarrassingly bad season with no wins, which is in turn a catalyst for a crazy freefall through the leagues and out of the top 42. Football eh?
  3. Another good one. Have been really enjoying a lot of this series. The wee bit on Steni's title win was excellent. Absolutely loved that.
  4. He's just not good enough. Be that because of his age and the need to develop, or because he was fast tracked by Bullen beyond where he should of been to get supporters onside, I'm not really sure. But it can't be doing him any good to be a bit part player (sometimes more than that) at a level where he is currently very out of his depth.
  5. Felt we applied ourselves quite well there. Up until the red card we had just as much chance of nicking a winner as they did. Hopefully we can get a positive result in either of last two. I don't think others will be able to do enough to make us finish 9th, but it would be good to do it on our own terms, so to speak.
  6. Completely farcical red card there imo. Felt we applied ourselves okay today and probably merited a point. Congrats lads.
  7. The potential of both rangers and celtic tears in the space of 1 week?
  8. Yeah i feel the same. Theres no middle ground. They'll either be out for blood, or a bit nervy and we'll nick a point. I suspect the former though.
  9. Can't see it actually happening, but it would be so very very pleasing if we got a result here and spoilt the big tannadice party.
  10. Very glad to see Rovers hang on there. That's big for us.
  11. Dabrowksi making a fucking mental save there to shut me up haha
  12. A cracking bunch of lads, the Rovers. Just see it through, please and thank you.
  13. Now that you mention it, yes. He was all over the place. I think he's the kind of keeper that is tremendous at making those reactionary saves from efforts at short distances, but if he is expecting a shot and has to set himself properly he isn't anywhere near as effective. I remember thinking he could have done a lot better for all 4 goals we scored that night (one was a horrendous error, but the others were awful positioning).
  14. He is an excellent shot stopper, which is of course hugely important. But I don't really rate much else about his game though.
  15. However, we feel Arbroath have, so to speak, downed tools and won't pick up any more points which will cost us in the run-in. β€œWhen I said we needed three wins, I didn’t realise two teams around about us still had to play Arbroath. If those teams had to play someone else, I’d be more confident. Big Dunc blaming Arbroath for the predicament Inverness are in is very amusing. Dafty.
  16. Opening of the main stand at Ayr United's Somerset Park in September 1924. The story goes that it was paid for by selling Neil McBain to Manchester Utd for a record Β£4,600 (some sources state Β£6000) a couple years earlier. Ayr United wore hooped shirts from the time of formation until the late 30's. In our centenary year, 2010, hoops made a return.
