  1. A cracking bunch of lads, the Rovers. Just see it through, please and thank you.
  2. Now that you mention it, yes. He was all over the place. I think he's the kind of keeper that is tremendous at making those reactionary saves from efforts at short distances, but if he is expecting a shot and has to set himself properly he isn't anywhere near as effective. I remember thinking he could have done a lot better for all 4 goals we scored that night (one was a horrendous error, but the others were awful positioning).
  3. He is an excellent shot stopper, which is of course hugely important. But I don't really rate much else about his game though.
  4. However, we feel Arbroath have, so to speak, downed tools and won't pick up any more points which will cost us in the run-in. “When I said we needed three wins, I didn’t realise two teams around about us still had to play Arbroath. If those teams had to play someone else, I’d be more confident. Big Dunc blaming Arbroath for the predicament Inverness are in is very amusing. Dafty.
  5. Opening of the main stand at Ayr United's Somerset Park in September 1924. The story goes that it was paid for by selling Neil McBain to Manchester Utd for a record £4,600 (some sources state £6000) a couple years earlier. Ayr United wore hooped shirts from the time of formation until the late 30's. In our centenary year, 2010, hoops made a return.
  6. I really hope that guy and his wee boy finally made it to the game at the third attempt to end up in tears.
  7. Rovers social media team. Managed to obtain record breaking numbers of total heads gone.
  8. That's a very impressive signing. Its been a shite season for you lot but I imagine it must be good to know that plans are being put in place for being very competitive next season already. Gallagher has to be pretty much as good an option for a League 1 side as you could hope for.
  9. Dundee United supporters had a pretty strange pitch invasion with plenty pyro after winning a League Cup tie in August a few years ago at Somerset. So I wouldn't be too hopeful of no pitch invasion if I were you. Tbf though, under the right circumstances (i.e. winning a title), pitch invasions are fine imo.
  10. Was looking into our season and noticed that our points and goals scored under each manager are almost the same - the difference being the number the games played under each. 23/24 Points: Bullen - 20 points from 20 games. PPG - 1 Brown - 19 pts from 12 games. PPG - 1.58 There's also 1 league game played, a win at home to Arbroath, that came after Brown was appointed but before he was in the dugout. 23/24 Goals Scored: Bullen - 20 games - 25 goals - GPG 1.25 Brown - 12 games - 23 goals - GPG 1.91 Again, 2 goals scored at home to Arbroath under Davie White aren't included in either total. A marked improvement over the course and I suspect we may pick up some additional points somewhere in the last 3 games. Still hoping for a pretty major overhaul of the squad in the summer, not sure to what extent that will be, but I'm feeling relatively content for now. I'm relatively confident we'll avoid 9th at this point and hopefully there's a decent summer of recruitment ahead.
  11. Dundee United closing in on the title, Ayr looking to keep a decent gap to 9th place. Expecting a large crowd at Tannadice, not sure where the Ayr supporters are going to be put? Away tickets not on sale yet. I expect a bit of a battering tbh. Seems like you lot will be out for blood in trying to secure the title - no doubt would rather have it sorted this week instead of waiting until being away at Airdrie the week after. I know it won't be mathematical confirmed if Raith also win, but its essentially secured with a win. I think we've probably already done enough tbh in terms of avoiding 9th (credit to Brown and team) but if we could nick even a point here it would be massive. I don't see it though. I'll go: Dundee United 3-1 Ayr
  12. McCall's favourite phrase - "need to get the punters back to Somerset".
  13. Season tickets available for the blocks of seats on the left hand side of new stand (left side as you face the pitch from the stand). Makes sense, with the middle sections being exclusively for hospitality , I assume that the blocks on the right side won't go on sale for season tickets - as that side of the stand may occasionally be used for away supporters if necessary. I assume that means that those seats would be available for home supporters to sit in during matches with small away crowds for which we have the full run of the North Stand.
  14. It's really best not to interact with these type of posts or have them on block. Don't give them the attention.
  15. Yeah that's where I looked initially, but unless I'm being daft, there's no dates listed for anything other than the premiership play-off final.
  16. Does anyone know where I can find the dates of all the play-off dates in the lower leagues? Can only seem to see the Premiership play-off final dates listed on the SPFL website.
  17. Would very much like Rovers to have sorted themselves out before this one. Thank you very much.
