  1. Aye, League 1 doesn't tend to be much fun. Of the full time clubs in the championship, Ayr have spent more time there than anyone else in the last couple decades (albeit we were actually part time in L1) through a mix of being on the brink of bankruptcy to awful managerial appointments - the worst years of which we found ourselves in a dogfight at the bottom trying to avoid League 2. See QoS for a current example. A lot of full time clubs that go down manage to sort it out in a season or two, by making good decisions at the top level and ensuring that the relative strength in budget is utilised as much as possible - see Ayr's most recent 1 season stint or Dunfermline last season. If that's done right, it can be quite fun. The problem comes when you have folk at the top end of the club that are pretty clueless and make poor decisions from the off. That poor decision making is essentially a catalyst for the team to not hit the ground running, and for the perceived budgetary / resource advantage to quickly fade away as you come up each week against technically limited but well drilled part time teams. Just look at Falkirk as an example. Theres a lot of football to be played and ICT could well get themselves out of danger at the expense of QP, Ayr, Pars etc. Also 9th could well win the play off (I think they will). But aye, the novelty of new grounds and a 'fresh start' quickly fades when it feels like the club is sinking due to poor planning and decisions. Based on your current board, if ICT were to go down i'd maybe be a bit concerned.
  2. Also, because we won and therefore isn't just sour grapes, that felt like a very inept refereeing performance. I don't think he had a clue.
  3. A big win that. Very pleased. We weren't great by any stretch, but Caley though, deary me.
  4. Well they got it right up me and I'm delighted. It wasn't vintage by any stretch but todays performance was exactly what it needed to be, and we got a huge win. We were a very tight unit and it restricted Caley's play to f**k all as they played with very little width (which considering pur fullback deficiencies, was bizarre). They were shite, yes, but don't really care with how tight it all is just now in the table. Big 3 points. Delicious humble pie. Although i still maintain that a bit of pace and width and it would have been even more comfortable. Well done Ayr.
  5. Basically this. We've been largely okay, albeit caley have offered nothing so hard to tell how good we are as a unit. The only reason we're level is an absolutely atrocious decision from the referee.
  6. A very meh game so far but Caley look a bit vulnerable and the early goal hopefully puts us on a good footing here. We seem relatively calm, defensively in particular, so long may that continue. We look a better unit so far today than we did against the Pars a couple weeks ago, albeit Caley have been awful and have offered the square root of f**k all. Given the pace of the game so far I maintain that we could really be have been doing with a natural winger out wide from the start. I think it would have strengthened our position as Caley seem to be relying on quite a narrow set up. With some real attacking intent, something we've not offered much of so far, we could kill this game off quite quickly. I'd like to see some more width and pace in the second half - as ICT are there for the taking based on the first half anyway. Right as i'd finished typing that, the referee gave an atrocious decision. The boy himself looked embarrassed that penalty was given. Shocking.
  7. Might have been @diegomarahenrythat said it, about McGinty being dropped after one mistake being a sign that we're in bother. But wow, i didn't expect that to actually happen. Apologies if i have the wrong poster though. Team overall is very unbalanced with some bizarre absentees. Unless theres injuries we're not aware of. I vey much hope the team absolutely stick it to me, but f**k me that line up is a mess and i don't know how we expect to win.
  8. Genuinely a bit angry to have travelled up having seen that line up. I would very much like the team to prove me wrong, of course. If they stick it to me, then fair fucks, i will be delighted. But f**k me. I'm very concerned.
  9. Is it just me that finds this kind of showboating behaviour to be very very embarrassing? For many reasons, it can get to f**k, imo.
  10. I mind watching a game away at ICT via the pixellot stream and for the majority of the game the camera tracked the linesman's baldy head.
  11. Is It just me that thinks the folk in the front row of seats are going to have a tough time seeing over the wall there? Probably just the angle the photo has been taking from.
  12. Ooft. Me making everyone have to see that atrocious hair cut twice. I can only apologise.

  14. Liam Gallagher up to no good again. Couple who didn't pay for gas for 18 years shocked by £11K bill
  15. Now starts the long process of rehabilitation following release. What was the offence?
  16. Aye, noticed a lot of that chat, they're dafties. It is quite incredible how some folk love to find a reason to moan. Games that will sell out at 50,000 seater Hampden, 7/8 months in advance of the ties, shouldn't be played there. They should be played in front of less than half of that - with less than 20,000 home supporters when you factor in away allocation.
  17. Potential for 4 point gap to 9th, with a game in hand, if we can get a result in Inverness next week.
  18. Aye went on today try get tickets for the nations league games. Portugal game sold out. Managed to get 2 tickets for the Poland and Croatia games. Very little tickets left as i was looking.
  19. We paid £43k to a cowboy builder but he ‘stopped showing up’ & now we’ve been forced to live in one room over Christmas
