  1. If it is built, then it should be around 75% terracing, imo. All seaters are pish.
  2. Aye, by the time we next play we are going to be in a very ominous looking position. However, its a position we are capable of navigating our way out of with the run of games that we have coming up. We just need to show the more resilient performances we had for a while there. I still think we'll be just about okay, but it'll be a slog for the last 9 games.
  3. I don't drive and growing up no one in the house did. Never found it to be an issue, although we always were / I am now situated relatively close to the town/city centres, so easy access of train and bus if need be. Clearly a biased viewpoint, but I always thought that some folk make a bit too much out of how difficult it would be to ditch the car. However, my guess would be that once you are accustomed to the convenience of the car everything gets adjusted accordingly distance wise, i.e more willing to go to a further away shop, more willing to have the kids in activities/clubs that aren't in your immediate vicinity, don't mind being further away from extended family (although that's not necessarily a bad thing in a lot of cases) etc. The difficulty of giving it up makes more sense from that point of view. A system based on privatised public transport is a b*****d, and very rarely does anything to discourage private car use. Outside of Edinburgh (very good) and Glasgow (decent, but not as good), bus provision in this country is fucking shite. Personally, i'd get right behind gradually increasing measures that curb private car use in favour of promoting and properly funding better public transport use. Overnight sweeping changes will do more harm than good (initially anyway) in a socioeconomic sense, but theres a lot of good to be found in folk ditching the car. Also, people that fundamentally "don't like" or "don't want" public transport are weirdos. Anyway, on the original post. Aye go for it, ditch the car if you can.
  4. Yup, Reading is injured. We signed a new one on Friday afternoon, Nathan McGinley, so hopefully he will be a good stop gap. We are absolutely chronic at full back, which I'm sure didn't got unnoticed yesterday.
  5. Aye, not sure what the reason is for it, if its trying to prove a point or trying to get players to kick on in training or something, but can we just play our strongest 11 ffs. This squad is so limited in its quality that we really do not have the space to be fucking about trying stuff out. Bryden has been tried on the wing numerous times now and it hasn't worked. He isn't good enough to play up top at this level yet, let alone out of position. We have natural wide players, play them please Brown (not McGeady). Thought our subs were weird yesterday as well, not to mention keeping that set up for 90 minutes. It was screaming out for a different approach as we offered nothing all afternoon. We really need to be getting a positive result in the highlands in 2 weeks. Eta. That was really awful yesterday. A properly worrying performance. Get it sorted please Ayr, no more of that for the run in.
  6. Imagine get riled after a victory because someone said your town has shite pubs. A wee team mentality, imo.
  7. An absolute shit show from start to finish today. Offered absolutely nothing all afternoon. Two week break now ahead of the biggest game of the season so far in Inverness. Very excited to see the back of most of this squad.
  8. We need a bit of creativity on the park. Real lack of imagination here, just going through the motions.
  9. Two awful goals to conceded, but we got everything we deserved. Horrendous stuff today. A real lack of movement or any kind of creativity. Punting the ball long all half, without changing it up at all. Deary me. Get it changed.
  10. Really poor half from us. Get in at 1-0 and change this up.
  11. Team loses away at part time Arbroath. Their automatic description of the conditions to save face.
  12. Jonathan Sutherland running out of Arbroath chat... "mind when yous almost won the league"
  13. Considering how rancid Arbroath were on Tuesday night, and how rocked they looked earlier in the game tonight, they saw the game out very very well after taking the lead.
  14. Enjoyed that. Friday night football rarely disappoints. Sliding into the weekend.
  15. McGinley must have had a tough paper round. 27? Jokes aside, very glad we've got some extra cover. Great to see.
  16. Aye this. Added to that, is the changes during the game. It often felt like Bullen just didn't have any idea how to change the game in our favour, and on many occasions he just wouldn't make any changes until late in the game (if at all) despite it being very obvious that we were desperately struggling to get a grip in the game. Brown isn't scared to use his bench and will change things if he feels it is necessary - that goes as far as complete changes to shape and style depending on the circumstances. He has also proven he is prepared to be slightly ruthless in making changes if he feels it is needed. It is early days and of course not everything has been rosey - some tactical changes have been detrimental to our overall performance (the switch to a back 5 the other night didn't do us any favours, for example) but they're still getting a grip on the squad and understanding the ways to tinker with the limited quality we have to see games out. Additional positives are the level of fight and dig we have seen in getting a few of the recent wins over the line. It's football, so it could all go wrong in the next few weeks, but so far, I'm very pleased. A couple more wins in the next few games and i'll be over the moon.
  17. Tomi also has the delivery and service at Thistle that he didn't really have with us.
  18. Those goals are horrendous to watch from a defensive point of view. My word. The positioning, the not following runs, the lack of communication. Feel for Lichties fans, that's atrocious stuff. The defence was the main strength of Arbroath teams for a long while.
