Pitch inspection at 7.30 am tomorrow morning.
At least something of a lesson learned from this biscuit tin outfit.
But really just call it tonight and move on. Fairly obvious this game is not going to be on.

This game will be called off after your team and supporters have left for the game.
It's what this silly little club do.

Hail Hail mate. Celtic are my real team as well.

Mutale was brutal, nothing new there, but he put a shift in at least. For the lack of ability in the team no one could be faulted for desire to get the job done.

I was at the game today and it was job done for Forfar, which is all that matters in a cup tie at a tough venue, but it certainly wasn't pretty.
Tranent should have been a couple up in the first half. They were playing some nice football and the boy Ross up front had Forfar on toast at the back. Only some fine work from McCallum and the wood work kept it goalless at half time. Forfar had the odd half chance but nothing really created from good football - they could barely string a pass together.
Second half became more of a dog fight and this played more into the away sides hands. Neither goalie had a save of note to make in the second half and the teams were ultimately separated by a set piece at the back stick that was well finished by Allan.
Once Forfar scored they did not look like conceding. Andy Munro was the best player on the park for Forfar his experience was vital in this kind of game. He won everything in the air and was a real positive effect on the guys around him - vocally encouraging the younger team mates at all times and organising.
Nothing much was offered midfield to front but again that's been touched upon before Forfar lack any real quality in those areas.
Morrison in front of the defence was a bit meh for me - it possibly worked OK in this game but I don't see that being very fruitful back in the league against better teams he will he exposed in there. Doesn't distribute the ball well enough for it to be a long term fix but I suppose it will do Uncle Ray for now.
Enjoy your night lads. You're having a shit season but at least this is a welcome distraction and into the hat for the next round.

A hokey cokey of emotions for the Sons fans today. Faz was in, out, in, out and shaking it all about today.
Credit to Uncle Faz.

Best place to park near the ground?
Probably going to take this game in today.

Moore was arguably our best player at the start of this season, he's been the biggest victim of the chopping and changing of ray imo and you can't expect consistency if you don't know where you'll be playing each week.
But what is he good at? What are his attributes that would make him a good player at this level?
We had him on loan from Dundee and he was as beige as they come. Even a few years on anytime I've seen him he never stands out. One paced, timid and doesn't impact a football match.
If he wasn't playing for Forfar would he be playing league football? The answer is no - if you want to answer that honestly.

Anything can happen in the League Cup, nothing should be read into it.
On paper, astro or grass, our squad is rubbish.
You're fighting a losing battle mate. Look at the subsequent replies. The lads think you can just flick that attacking switch and get on it.
The Scottish League Cup group stages (yes we know you won it lads) is essentially American pool with large pockets. Anyone can beat anyone with a bit of luck and catching the better opponent cold.
League football is like snooker. You aren't going to lay a glove on the opponent unless you have the required quality over a longer period.
Forfar have a big squad of American pool players who will never make a good snooker player.

As I said a few weeks ago Forfar are absolutely rotten and every bit as bad as Elgin and Clyde.
If they don't get shot of Ray soon they are going to be in bother once McCall gets tore onto his big bag of money in January.
Elgin still have their own manager bounce to come and in general have done not too badly in recent weeks. There is at least signs of a team battling there.

Shocked to the core.

After questioning Skelly's Goals and assists I looked back to see where our goals have came from so far this season in the league and Scottish Cup. (i'm off work today and bored)
Didn't count the LC as they are just glorified friendlies according to some on here, and I got bored if I'm being honest.
Morrison - 4 Goals - 1 Assist.
Paterson - 3 Goals - 6 Assists*
Skelly - 2 Goals - 1 Assist.
Ross - 2 Goals - 0 Assists.
Whatley - 2 Goals - 0 Assists.
Ferguson - 1 Goal - 0 Assists.
Allan - 1 Goal - 0 Assists.
Own Goal - 1
* Probably being a little kind as some of these assists are from corners, there's been some bouncing about in the box after the corner, but still initially comes from the corner I think.
Didn't bother checking Mutale as it's 0 goals and assists, really can't understand how he is getting a start, must be incredible in training.
We have scored 16 goals in the league and scottish cup and Paterson has been involved in 9 of them, with only 5 starts, that's a decent stat but he can't get a start in front of a guy who has not been involved in a single one.
And thank the lord for Morrison's contribution so far, or we'd be up s**t creek.
I like the fact you just included balls bouncing about the box as assists to beef up the numbers. Very gallus of you.
Scottish Cup included after putting four past a pub team. Beefs up your pro- Paterson agenda quite nicely though.
The bread and butter of the league is where stats matter. Big boy numbers from Matty Aitken - 8 goals and 4 assists.

I'd like to apologise on behalf of my football club for those last interactions from btb. A very difficult read.
That's what happens when ye type with yer feet.

Great highlights
Our first win down there in 8 years or something which feels like another big statement of intent from this group of players.
Was a strange game. I didn't think there was much between the teams but it felt like a training game for us as soon as we went ahead there was only going to be one outcome.
We certainly got away with one for the first goal though as for me Bucky pushes their boy into the goalkeeper. The standard of officials is rotten as well all know so happy to have one in our favour this time.
Solid team performance from the boys.

A real special talent is Ross Taylor. He'll never make a rugby player going by that attempt last night but I am more than sure he will go on to have a good full time football career if he wants it.

Mikey is certainly up there on recent form but I would agree with the the keyboard hardman that Finlay Gray remains the best midfielder in the division.
But I wouldn't swap the little dork for our Mikey all the same. I prefer them big and strapping.
I take it back. If he can add goals to his game like tonight then there's no contest. What a moment he is in just now.
We were so good tonight it could have been four or five. DJ could have stayed in the hoose in all honesty.
Just fantastic stuff all over the park but above all else we are an absolute gang who will work their socks off for each other.
A fantastic team goal and then one of the best goals I've ever seen at Ochilview from Adam Brown.

You guys still can't get over his 80-yard run and goal at Ochilview last season. The one where your defenders looked as if they were wearing diver's boots.
Another dark day of the Swift era.
Our lads chasing back like when ye canny get moving in a dream as the wee man sauntered through.
Disgusting.

So what is the story ?
That having a league one budget and more players than the British Army will have you win the majority of the time at this level.
The league finished in November. Riveting stuff isn't it?
