  1. Humphries is a bit of a wet lettuce but to win 4 of the last 5 majors in this era where the top players are so evenly matched takes some doing.

Proper player and with that easy style of his he should stay among the top players for years to come.

It doesn't really matter who goes in the Premier League anymore it's just so dull I don't think darts fans are really arsed with it at all.

  2. I just watch on mute due to Mardle and the crowd. It's unbearable most of the time.

    This is insane from Littler.

Cross has been unbelievable himself and can't lay a glove on the lad.

I doubt many will be working. Today is a public holiday, that’s why there are games in the top two divisions. Seems odd that leagues one and two had no games last week or this week

There are games on in the top two divisions as, apart from Arbroath, that is their full time jobs.

Your doubt about many normal people working today is probably wrong. There will be many people working today certainly I know more people working today than those who aren't.

The idea of rearranging your game at Stranraer for tomorrow in such a short time frame was silly. Time to move on mate.

  4. Unless Uncle Ray has some decent signings lined up this week then I see no reason why we don't go 10IAR this Saturday.

Forfar are a powder puff outfit and we are better than them all over the park - the game really comes down to how we are between the ears and not so much in the legs. Switch ourselves on mentally and there should only be one outcome.

The team picks itself with Lynch and Taylor not available. Slightly lacking in options from the bench but I wouldn't be overly surprised to see an attacking option signed along with Jacobs in time for the game.

Stenhousemuir 3-0 Forfar. O'Reilly and Yates adding to a mandatory Matty Aitken brace.

  5. That would probably make absolutely no sense.

Most likely have boys back at work tomorrow with no chance of arranging time off on ridiculously short notice.

While I'm here I would like to wish Uncle Faz a Happy New Year and to continue his good work into 2024.

Saw Ross Taylor play a couple of times for Auchinleck last season. On both occasions he struck me as a complete arsehole, and from body language (and actual language) it seemed his Talbot teammates thought that too.

That's me seen him play three times now. Confirmed arsehole. What an idiot.

Not much in the game, really. Good news is Clyde will surely not be that weak again.

I'd disagree on that. I've spoke to him a few times and he's a nice lad from good stock certainly not an arsehole.

He's let himself and his team mates down yesterday though that was a moment of madness. He's still a young guy so he is going to make mistakes but must learn from that if he wants to go up the leagues and I'm sure Gary Naysmith will have had words already.

One blotch on his record shouldn't detract from what a good season he's had in his first season at senior level. We will need him back firing for the run in.

Any bad result instantly results in more money being spent by the Chicken man. Lewis Spence from Edinburgh City tonight.

The most insecure manager in Scottish football.

Not sure how he's going to cope in the big leagues when there are transfer windows to adhere to.

  8. He won't take the credit, as the type of guy he is, but the transformation of this team is majorly down to Gary Naysmith and his coaching team.

First of all he just comes across as a decent, normal bloke with no ego who players will run through brick walls for. The players clearly love him, the supporters the same and when you have that harmony at a football club you can then achieve special things.

He knows what is required for this level and his signings pre-season reflected that. He addressed our weaknesses that were there for all to see in the previous two seasons. A quality goalkeeper, centre half and striker were in the door early in the summer and everything has been a springboard from there. Every player coming in has been better than the one that went out the door in the summer and the guys who are still here from the Swift era have all improved, been consistent and in some cases have improved so dramatically from the previous version that they look like they are playing a few levels below where they should be (Mikey Anderson).

We are certainly not a defensive team but we are built on solid foundations first and foremost. I always felt we were soft previously and would lose tight games or be 'old manned' a lot of the time by streetwise teams. We are now that streetwise team. It's perfectly balanced.

The best goalkeeper in the league behind a well-drilled defence, working in synergy. The robust duo of Wedderburn and Anderson in midfield doing the donkey work to allow our flair players to play and our flair players (Brown, O'Reilly, Taylor, Yates) have given us some unbelievable, big moments this season. Matty Aitken up top has been sensational, not just his goal tally, the work he does for the team is phenomenal he runs himself into the ground every week for the team, gives us a focal point to the attack we have not had previously.

It's difficult to say if this is his level. He knows this level like the back of his hand and what's required but I am sure if he does get to go back full time he can learn from his previous experience at Queens and kick on again. I would love him to get that move one day on the back of a league win for us.

No wins at home is an utterly grim state of affairs. There's a blandness to our squad I haven't seen before.

At what point do we think Matty Aitken will overtake our entire squad?

It won't be long mate. I see your hopeless jobber got sent off today as The King added another brace to his tally.

It's brilliant lads. I'll never forget your lads in here coming on our thread and telling us what a waste of space Matty was and how Skelly was the dugs baws after the pre-season friendly tournament.

The King will be bang up for it again next week to sink Uncle Ray's hapless duds.

    Yummy.

Meh, you had a good 5 or 10 minutes after the goal (an enormous deflection) in that game but otherwise didn't think Stenny offered much at all, even 11v11. I'm sure you're a good team as you're top by a bit but I've not really seen it.

We hit the bar, post and also had a legitimate goal disallowed for offside as well during that "5 or 10 minutes".

One way traffic I think anyone watching that game of football would concede we would go on and win that game by a very comfortable margin were it not for the sending off.

Your take seems to give you some comfort so who am I to argue.

  11. I mean we played 50 minutes against you with 10 men and in the 40 minutes we had a full compliment we should have been 3 or 4-0 up. The difference in quality was pretty evident and even with 10 men we were comfortable enough until Elgin scored with a lucky break of the ball in the box.

A bit of a weird rationale to use but each to their own.

I thought Elgin looked sturdy enough yesterday for the record but I think the conditions probably helped them a bit as well.

Good luck for the rest of the season a big January coming up for the new manager.
