  1. Bucky for me. I would go as far to say he will be the best signing in our history if we go on now and do the inevitable.

I can't remember a bad game he has had apart from that mad 20 minutes against Dumbarton. He's just such a good defender, reads the game well, can play a bit and is a huge threat from set plays. I think he's the glue that sticks it altogether. Nicky Jamieson was already a good player but for me he's went to another level playing next to Bucky. Even without Nicky in these last two games Bucky has stood up and been absolutely outstanding in both games with a slightly weaker defence.

So many quality, consistent performers though hence our league position so it's hard to single out any one person as our main strength is that togetherness and will to win as a group.

  2. I am glad this will be the last time I give these cowboys £18 to enter their shack for a couple of years.

It could be longer if you look at the trajectory of both clubs, East Fife strike me as a club sleep walking into the Lowland League in the near future unless they properly gut the club.

I am looking forward to this one. The champions elect, for the first time this season, will have a fully fit 19 man squad to choose from. Nat, Nicky, Matty and Ross to start for me but whoever takes the field will have to be at it as we have some real quality waiting in the wings if they aren't.

I'll go 2-0 Wawaz. A double from Matty Yates and a 4 yard pearler from Matty Aitken.

  3. The Bully Wee still have time on their side but the main problem is as much as they have improved so have the other dross that they want to catch. Elgin and Forfar seem to be picking up a bit at the worst possible time for The Bully Wee.

It's difficult to go on a run in this league, apart from us obviously, where the teams are all much of a muchness. The Bully Wee need to put two or three together on the spin sometime soon but pretty much every team is scrapping for something and although player pool has drastically improved at Clyde it still looks a mid table team on paper, which might not be enough to get the desired results and up to 9th.

Other posters have summed up the game far better than I could so won't attempt to summarise the action in any real detail.

Today was the biggest game of the season. It was always going to be the game after the winning run ended (especially ending with a defeat) but to add to that, it was against one of the pack just behind us. To win it by hook or by crook is a massive psychological win.

Yates wasn't fully fit which is why he didn't start. The 4-4-2 was very odd and Rodden was poor and Brown in an orthodox left wing role just didn't work. Credit to Naysmith for both the changes and the timing of them.

The general concensus is Dumbarton have the best squad and I agree. However, it's by virtue of simply having the most average or better L2 players, but there is no wow factor. Not one player that vaguely give me the fear like say Goss, Reilly or Hester did last year. For the wage bill, there really should be one or two of them.

I think the last part there hits nail on head for Dumbarton and we have probably all over egged how good their squad actually is. There isn't a 15-20 goal a season man or a guy with blistering pace who can hurt you down the wing or in behind. There just isn't much really that you fear you are up against.

A very beige set of players all told who do some neat stuff at times and far too nice in key areas.

Anything CAN happen in the play off situation but it's hard to see this gang of losers with Uncle Faz in charge doing the necessary when it counts.

They can't do it when it counts as they have proved time and time again.

  5. I enjoyed that one from sunny Nigeria.

Why Bradley Rodden started only Gary will know but as soon as we made that double sub on the hour with Taylor/Yates for Brown/Rodden we went up a few gears and deserved the victory. It's a sub I would have made at half time but we got there in the end.

Buchanan flawless at the back for us a real captain's performance. Anderson dominated the wee fella in midfield (reportedly Finlay wears Mikey Anderson pyjamas) and Kyle Jacobs picked up the scraps that he couldn't. Ross Taylor though, what a bloody cameo! Nevermind the goal some of the runs down the right flank the only way to stop him was to scythe him down - big puddin Crighton with a particularly callous one.

Old manned a really limp Dumbarton side to close the game out. Daft from Ryan Blair what is he thinking there? He is the epitome of this Dumbarton side though - sometimes not bad on the eye but doesn't have enough grit and balls.

As always lads it's #FazIn for me. Enjoy your evening.

You guys can scapegoat Leighfield all you want but I'm still seeing some pretty awful defending in the build up to these goals. Yes, he's a poor keeper but if anyone thinks we're bottom of this league due to the goalkeeper they need their head examined.

He is a factor in it of course but I'd say there are far more serious issues which have contributed to where we find ourselves.

On a side note, I think the chairman should issue a public and personal apology to any Clyde fan who made the effort to attend tonight's game. Sickening enough witnessing it via BBC updates from the comfort of my home, imagine freezing your arse off on a school night up in deepest darkest Elgin. Doesn't bear thinking about.

    What utter nonsense.

Football fans go to football games on their own free will why on earth would a chairman apologise for a goalkeeping error?

Some bonkers fans in the fanbase. Reading earlier the ones going on about a mid table finish for Clyde.

Absolutely baffling stuff for a team who have 7 points to overturn and haven't won an away game since I was born.

If Clyde finish 9th they have won a watch.

  7. It'll never happen obviously but Uncle Faz probably suited better to a role in player recruitment and leave the management to someone competent.

His recruitment over the piece at both Stranraer and Dumbarton has been really excellent on the whole for this level.

Yip as others have said worthy winners today it's nice to get back to our early season form but still disappointed to lose another goal at the back post from a corner

Thought the young team in there new shed were top class aswell so shout out to them

I hear they were attacking our supporters bus after the game and also heard an old boy with a Stenny hat saying they were throwing chips at him at half time.

As much as the latter raised a chuckle might be worth a responsible adult keeping a lid on them but boys will be boys we have all been there as youngsters.

It was chestnuts I used to throw at the elderly for reference.

  9. The game kind of went as a few of us expected in that this was maybe going to be a step too far with us missing Wedderburn and Jamieson and so it proved. Peterhead were worthy winners for me - they were better against the wind than we were and with the wind we could barely lay a glove on them second half. I can't fault the players efforts as they absolutely ran themselves into the ground until the last whistle but we just missed that bit strength in this kind of game that Nicky and Nat would have provided.

Best I have seen Shanks today I thought he gave us a torrid time and Hamish Ritchie on the wing really lived up to the billing that I have read about him on here. I am certainly under no illusions if Peterhead did not have the run of injuries they did then they would be a lot closer to us than they are, they are a good outfit at this level.

We just need to dust ourselves down and get back at it next week and try and go on another run. What a season this team have given us so far, proud of the lads and they deserved the reaction they got from the away fans at the end. I am sure we have enough about us to not let this derail the season.

    Let's go again.

This post sums up the pish that is spouted on this thread to a tee. Opinions with little facts.
Folk are so wrapped up in the mick kennedy show that all other facts go out the window. The bottom line is, the guys that own east kilbride could buy and sell mick kennedy for fun. The club are in no way reliant on any funding from mick. He could go in the morning and someone else would be in his place.

This league(and most leagues) for that matter, have teams who are cash rich. And what???? Get over it. I’d  bet if any of your clubs came into money yous would be loving it. The main problem people seem to have here is michael kennedy. For whatever reason that may be.
Im still to be fully convinced on him myself. But one thing i am sure of is ek will be there long after he is gone for better or worse.

The guys at EK could buy and sell Mick but couldn't muster the cash to help Johnny Lyon in his recovery.

    Sound like a decent bunch.
