Your dad wasn't the only old man with a tear in his eye yesterday. I've been following the Warriors for over 50 years. As a young teenager I would travel up from Yorkshire with my mum and dad as often as we could and we were always made so welcome and treated with immense kindness by everyone. Donald Smillie is the last of the people who we met on our first visits who is still around. The celebrations at full time were fantastic but the one thing that brought tears to my eyes was having a few words with Donald and him speaking warmly of my late mum and dad. I still live down south and although a season ticket holder I only mange to get to a handful of games each season. So, for people like Donald and others who have regularly watched the Warriors through thick and (lots of) thin, I'm just so pleased for you all. Long may Stenhousemuir FC continue to be a fantastic club.

Donald got a round of applause when he came in to the wee bar after the game which was lovely.

The best guy, universally loved at the football club I'm so glad he got this day.

I genuinely think your perspective's been warped by so many years of season-on-season improvement. As Neilly says, I think you're confusing the stars aligning for a limited amount of time with something else.  Maybe Arbroath really have taken a step change up in the size of club they are. The real test will be when Dick Campbell goes, the core of the side that's propelled you through the leagues breaks up and you have a tough couple of seasons where you move back the way, rather than continually moving forward.

What Arbroath have achieved on and off the park over the past few years is absolutely enviable. Everyone outside the bubble has just seen it happen too many times before.

Our Gordon and his crystal ball.

I think Stenhousemuir are a very well run club and probably in and around the position I’d expect them to be with potentially having an Edinburgh City like season and moving into L1 which would be your ceiling?

Look forward to meeting you at our ceiling again next season comrade.

Absolutely shocked to my core Arbroath will be back at their natural level next season, no one could have seen that coming.

It will be a privilege to be in the same league with such a big club who have all those season ticket holders and a scattering of teenagers wearing Arbroath clobber roond the toon centre.

    Smokies and wine baby.

You can buy for the terracing online or PATG on the day.

This is the @Neilly we all know & love.

You lads will need to strengthen somewhat though for League 1, Stirling Albion looked a far better side last season when they were champions, but have struggled quite a bit this year in League 1.

And we can worry about that next season.

The here and now is about celebrating what this group of players have given us this season - that's all that matters.

Stenny's highlights give a really good account of the game.

Minter the way Bucky hit the deck after his booking mind you. Inwardly cringed watching that.

I was personally howling at that seeing it on the highlights. Could see it coming a mile off. Its one of those ye greet about if yer the opposition and will take all day if he's yer own. The greet is always going to be louder with extra whine when it's a player a particular fan base despises.

A brilliant professional foul followed by shithousery. He's done it a few times this season. We are a horrible gang and it's a pleasure having a captain that gets the job done by any means unnecessary.

In years gone by our nice, slow centre backs (no names required) wouldn't have either had the pace or brains to take the player out in that position and we would have went on to lose a goal.

The dislike for him from the Dumbarton fans is as clear as lemonade and still seeping through which has raised a chuckle again.

Going back to that 4-2 dressing down Dumbarton gave us at Ochilview this season (our only league defeat where Bucky and Nicky played together btw) the lads on here and at the game were giving Bucky a fair bit and would never have foreseen how the season has panned out with him captaining the runaway leaders.

It feels nice lads, it really does.

Yup. If they draw and Peterheid lose or alternatively if Stenny win and Peterheid fail to win they clinch it.

    Try again pup.

You're forgetting the run Uncle Faz has you on. If we draw you can still win the league on goal difference baby.

  8. Nicky Jamieson was outstanding. We are lucky to have him here next season he could surely play in the Championship now with his attributes.

What an awful game of football with another laughably bad referee. Much like last week bookings for nothing and then blatant bookings nothing happens. What a state he got himself in - an utter clown.

A bizarre performance from Peterhead. They never really went for it in a game they had to win and we weren't exactly firing. Were content with a draw for some reason.

Another clean sheet and another point closer. We are limping over the line but we are just about there.

I hope so. I cant see either of Bonnyrigg, Clyde or ourselves beating EK over two legs (who i expect will win the play-off against Highland Lg champs).

Beaten by Bo'ness yesterday. Their defence is absolutely hopeless they are absolutely not a shoe in to come up as most people think they are.
