Has the begging bowl out for a players injury rehab but happy to fling cash at signings. No offence to the posters in here who seem decent but I'd be embarrassed.

    Absolutely this.

No shame for Mick and the gang though. Promotion at all costs.

Wasn’t he the guy who looked great for Edinburgh City against us in the one of the playoffs?

No doubting the ability but I would be very wary of what's going on between the ears.

Played half hour for us on loan last year then never played again due to whatever issues he had mentally or in his personal life.

Then moves on to that little basket case of a club in the summer as captain but then available in January. The alarm bells should he ringing.

Even choosing that mob in the first place when he would have had half of league one to choose from shows a complete lack of ambition and desire to play senior.

For the above reasons he will end up at another basket case of a club - Clyde.

Don’t care what league you’re in; 11 wins on the spin and 44 points from 48 available is sensational form.

16 league games unbeaten and nine clean sheets in that run. How close is this to record breaking stuff for Stenny? I know probably Gretna and Rangers will have ludicrous fourth tier records that will be hard to challenge.

Only negative is FF setting out the line-up with the keeper at the bottom, which is making my brain feel itchy.

We've equalled The Rangers 11 wins in a row and Gretna had 14.

Ours feels a little bit more special already to be honest that our budget won't dwarf the opposition in the manner that The Rangers and to a lesser extent Gretna would have.

Absolutely wild times for the club.

  4. Another game, another win, another clean sheet. Three goals conceded away from home all season is just absolutely ridiculous. This must be what it feels like supporting a big club - you just turn up now every week expecting another three points. It can't go on forever but it's bloody good fun while it lasts.

It was another relative stroll in the park. Another week passes without DJ having to make a notable save but his handling and authority from cross balls was on point throughout. The defence and boys in front are great but it must make their job a bit easier knowing what's behind them as well which is just a first class goalkeeper in all aspects.

Lovely goal from Matty Yates. Sums the wee man up in a nutshell - his desire to win the ball back and then he has the technical ability to do things like that. He was a pest throughout and Euan O'Reilly on the other side was just a constant ball of energy and skill, Spartans couldn't handle him from the first whistle. He should have scored a few goals second half himself but, as Gary touched on post match, this has been a really consistent period for Euan and his best since coming to the club. We all know he has great ability but he's putting it together week in, week out now for a long stretch of games which isn't always easy for wingers at part time level.

Shout out for Ross Meechan who I thought had his best game of the season today backing up another strong showing last week. His two best games of the season have probably come against Spartans away from home. Positionally spot on the full game, gave nothing away and was brave as a lion on multiple occasions.

Spartans are a nice little football team I feel in midfield. They move it about nicely enough but don't feel there is enough penetration there or creation of enough chances, certainly in the two games against them at Ainslie Park once we get in our shape they look clueless as to how to break us down. They aren't the only team of course, Naysmith has us so well drilled we are a very dificult team to play through and create chances against. Spartans tried their hand via other methods with constant long throws into the box but that is food and drink for our centre backs and we ate it up all day.

Stranraer next week for the dirty dozen. You just couldn't back against this team to keep the ol' train chugging!

Why? League's done boys. Enjoy it.

Absolutely. I am less coy than my worrying counterparts. I can't for the life of me see how this team does not go on and secure history for our club.

We have the best goalkeeper, defence, midfield, wingers and striker in the league whilst there is nobody good enough below us to go on a run like we have AND for us to lose 5 or so games before the end of the season. Gary Naysmith won't allow it and more importantly this squad won't allow it.

Ross Taylor returns next week. Jordan Kirkpatrick isn't far away. The January additions of Rodden and Jacobs have already strengthened us. We won't win every game but there is zero doubt in my mind that this group will react accordingly when the time comes that we do drop points again.

  6. I watched him against Linlithgow this season and is more of a 10 than a winger. Looked a tidy player but certainly not the quickest on that showing.

It gives Dumbarton another option to play off Ruth, Ryan Wallace isn't the most reliable fitness wise, and he's certainly a different type to what you have.

Should do enough to cement 5th place anyway.

  7. I'm pretty sure Dumbarton will have a sport scientist similar to ourselves.

I can't remember the specific sweet stuff our lads have after games but it's pretty much par for the course as advised by the sports scientist and will be similar across the board.

Ken going off his nut here about doughnuts has tickled me though. A club with obvious financial issues, dodgy goings on at board room level and a manager the supporters don't want but oor Ken has lost his nut over a tray of doughnuts.

  8. I may be scarred from Craig Bryson but I'm not overly convinced about this one.

Good name on paper but he hasn't played since May? His main attribute was his rapid pace I can't see him still having that at pushing 33 and with bad injuries behind him. If he was still at the level he has operated at most of his career and has a lot to offer still then why is he going to Peterhead in League 2?

Let's see how it goes but I wouldn't be overly surprised if this bombed.

  9. Anyone who genuinely thinks the Jones one is a penalty just simply doesn't understand the game. It's a ridiculous decision but comes as no surprise due to how inept the officials are at this level.

Christ, even Robert Jones himself is taking the piss out of the decision on Twitter. That tells you all you need to know.

Congratulations to Euan O'Reilly on his 100th appearance for Stenhousemuir. O'Reilly is one of my favourite players at the club and one of the most destructive wingers in the division on his day. He's a thoroughly nice guy too and I'm proud he's representing my team.

Also, the camaraderie amongst this squad is terrific too. Whenever we score, all 10 outfield players celebrate together, and it's heartening to see. I'm a big mark for players celebrating in front of the Norway Stand and big Nicky Jamieson running towards the support yesterday, while Ross Meechan and Adam Brown fist-pump, was the high point of the game.

    What a group!

Give the man a Alan Pardew style 9 year contract.

He's been brilliant this season. Really has put some consistency together  in this magical run of games but it's his work rate that's really shone through as well. He works tirelessly for the team and is the real epitome of what we are all about - quality and hard work.

  11. Didn't think you were that bad today lads but by the same token I make you favourite for bottom spot.

Showed nothing first half and we should have killed the game but second half you played for set plays and it just about paid off.

Clyde will obviously improve. Elgin look like they already have done so. It's very difficult to see how Uncle Ray and the gang are going to offer over and above those two teams at this minute with such a dull, beige collection of players.

Forfar feel like a club destined for the drop. No structure or idea on how to compete at this level currently. The signing policy is all wrong. More babies on loan from above and it's game over.

  12. Jobber O'Neil has been on the free agent list on SPFA website since the start of the season has he not?

Can just picture Uncle Faz stumbling across the page online, after pittin the lottery numbers oan, and thinking he's the absolute boy for getting this one over the line.

    Long live Uncle Faz!
