  1. I just think there is a real lack of understanding from people who watch football at this level and particularly in this country we have a hard on for people who run about like headless chickens as though that means they are trying harder. Matty Aitken is a lump of a boy but to say he doesn't work hard is just bizarre to me. He works tirelessly from what I've seen so far it's just he can't cover the ground that quickly. He has an intelligence to his game that is too cute for the seething hoardes to recognise. He's a league two striker ultimately trying his best to then abuse and boo the guy says more about those people than Matty.
  2. Sons playing some blistering stuff of late and banging them in from all angles lads. #FazOut army where are you?
  3. Well lads that feels absolutely lovely. Matty Aitken playing with the cigar out the full game bullying that sorry excuse of a defence. 5 goals and 4 assists so far, top scorer in the league but not good enough for Forfar Athletic Football Club. Keep plodding away with Skelly - nothing more than a non league plodder. Forfar started the game quite well but after that first 15 minutes we got a grip of the game and deservedly went in level at half time. Aitken was fortunate with the goal obviously but he probably should have scored at least another one in the first if it wasn't for a fantastic save from McCallum and not being able to get his shot away when clean through. Second half was a proper beasting and really should have been more comfortable. Darren Jamieson could have sat in the dressing room to be quite honest, Forfar just never lay a glove on us. I felt sorry for the Forfar left back as Euan O'Reilly tortured him time and time again it was a joy to watch.. Some really nice football with pace and purpose and everything sticking with Aitken. Mikey Anderson continues to grow in midfield I thought he was excellent and bossed the powder puff Forfar lads in there allowing Nat to get on the ball and spread it about side to side. Shout out for Big Edin Lynch as well he just does a right good job wherever he is played and was flawless at right back today. Make no mistake about it this Forfar team are as bad as Clyde and Elgin and could go out the league if they persist with Uncle Ray. Have a lovely evening everyone. Here's a toast to our Matty Aitken.....
  4. An utter embarrassment really and the sign of an insecure management team to still be adding players like this on a weekly basis. It will be hilarious if they don't go up. The most unlikeable wee team in the country.
  5. Hard drive check required for the wee man.
  6. Clyde 0-2 Spartans Dumbarton 2-0 Bonnyrigg Forfar 0-2 Stenhousemuir Peterhead 2-0 East Fife Stranraer 2-0 Elgin
  7. Of course you have to score each round to determine who won. That's how you score boxing. What a silly statement.
  8. I read on twitter that pumping is the biggest non league win over league opposition in the Scottish Cup since 1896. Some going that well done lads. I now understand why you don't like playing Saturdays.
  9. I've posted this in the East Fife thread instead of Elgin. My apologies lads.

  11. Absolutely mate. A blessing in disguise as we look to go on and really cement our inevitable 6th place finish.
  12. Thank you mate. Added to the spreadsheet.
  13. #FazOut at half time and #FazIn at full time guys. All those crying at half time surely have to give the man the credit he deserves? Doesn't suit the agenda obviously but this could be a huge turning point in the Farrell reign.
  14. Looking forward to this lads. Let's see if the keyboard warriors back it up in person. Most likely to slither out and DM Jan to ask on their behalf.
  15. Exactly. Talk of Ferry, Ross, Brown and other suggestions from the ill informed should cease at once.
  16. Ferry has already said he doesn't want to go into management for the foreseeable. He won't be leaving EK anytime soon and certainly not for such a difficult job like Clyde where the odds aren't stacked in his favour to succeed.
  17. A big dumpling. Unless there is some serious recruitment in January I will be amazed if Elgin don't finish bottom. Having seen them and Clyde at least Clyde have some players who can really hurt and penetrate the opposition. Elgin looked very beige without any creativity in the team.
  18. A frustrating result in the end. After a rusty start to the game once we scored from that period until the sending off we should have been out of sight. A legitimate goal ruled out for offside, two off the post and one off the line. Played some lovely stuff in that period and there was only going to be one winner with a full compliment of players. The sending off should have been a booking and that changes how we have to approach the rest of the game. The striker was not in control of the ball and the ball was going to our keeper so in no shape or form can that be a red card. I think we will appeal and get that rescinded. The referee looked shaky throughout but as we all know that is nothing new at this level. Our set up was good in the second half and was similar to Spartans away when we had to play with a reduced number for a long period of time. Concede the wide areas and drop Aitken into midfield to block off the gaps centrally. It worked well and Jamieson never had a save to make whilst we had a few half chances on the break ourselves. Elgin created nothing of note - a fortunate break of the ball in the box and a decent finish from the boy. Nothing you can really do about that but a sickener all the same. Some effort from the boys though. That's a long old treck midweek having not played for 20 odd days or whatever it was. The energy levels were superb and every player left it out on the pitch which is all we can really ask for. We take the positives and move on. Squad looking strong now and if we can keep pace with Peterhead until Taylor gets back we can hopefully go on a decent run again in the winter months.
  19. My apologies was only skim reading. Jack Ross being mentioned is as wild as Scott Brown though.
  20. No. He's a personal trainer based in Dunblane. You're thinking of Eddie Howe.
  21. Jim McIntyre is a done deal. I'd imagine announcement imminent with him being unattached.
  22. Scott Brown. Come on now let's live in the real world. McInally would be the best shout from those mentioned.
  23. I'm aware where he is but I would think he's back there with the understanding they won't stand in his way if a league club come calling again. Just a gut feeling.
