  1. The main thing that matters is that we get through the group to get the £50,000 prize money.  That could bring in a player, maybe two.  Sign of the times.  Every season before this one I have wanted us to win for the sake of winning.  Now it's to bolster the club finances.  Never thought I would consider that.

  2. Was forced to "watch" the game on text updates on the BBC website, like the bad old days of following a game on Teletext.  How did that happen then?   Did Hibs play their under 18 team or what.  Never though we had the slightest chance.  Absolutely amazing.  Come on Yea Bairns!!!!!

  3. Does that mean we get 2 points?   Looked at the group table on the BBC and we are on 1 point.   What was the point of penalties then?  Would have taken that before the game.  Decent start albeit against a much reduced Morton side.

That's ridiculous. Any follower of a football team will pick up info about other clubs by simply watching them play against you, reading match reports, engaging in speculation, and just generally having their senses operating.

Yes, you probably are in a bad mood as your profile says.  I am a 60 year old woman who still supports her home team despite being away from Falkirk for nearly 40 years.  Forgive me if I don't read match reports of other teams or keep an eye open for players we might sign in the future etc.  I did watch every Falkirk game, home an away last season via live stream, every single kick of the ball.  My senses are still working (most of them anyway).  I am passionate about Falkirk.  I don't care about football in general if it hasn't got a Falkirk angle.   Sorry if that makes you think I am ridiculous.

  5. McGlynn seems to be a generally well regarded manager.  I have no inflated expectation of what we will achieve next season but for the first time in a long time we have a competent manager with lots of contacts in the game.  I will give McGlynn the benefit of any doubt right now (we are cynical Falkirk fans after all) until proved otherwise.  The two we have signed already seem to be a different sort than in recent seasons.  It is not like me being hopeful but I am prepared to stick my head above the parapet this season looking for positive signs until life comes along and hits me over the head with a shovel as usually happens.  COYB.

    Quite the contradiction

Your comment doesn't make sense.  The fact that he has played for better teams than us and done well and McGlynn knows him and considers him good enough gives me enough confidence to conclude Coll is not a duffer.  Simples.
