  1. That rings a bell now you mention it.. Couple of photos for you. Auckland Bowling Club - the oldest in the southern hemisphere and a glorious setting. Royal Oak Bowling Club in Auckland, fully enclosed so can play all year round.
  2. Get it right up ye Johnny Sexton you utter arse! An outrageous performance from a man who gets a really hard time from people who don't understand the role he's there to play. And two Aucklanders at that, neither of them deemed good enough for NZ rugby and obviously James Lowe as well. Get it right up ye Johnny Sexton you utter arse! Get it right up ye Johnny Sexton you utter arse!
  3. I don't venture into this forum too often so I missed this thread. First picked up a bowl in 1989 as a kid and played for about 10 years up to and including regional U25... gave it up at about 20 when there was much more fun things to do with my life... Moved to New Zealand in 2011 and decided to get back into it as a way of getting to know people, within a year I'd skipped the team that won the Canterbury Open Fours beating a team skipped by none other than Gary Lawson (google him) and was picked for the Canterbury rep squad a few years in a row. Then the kids came along starting in 2014 and my bowls career went in the opposite direction, very much play for fun at the moment and to get out of the house, managed to pick up the odd Club title but certainly not playing at the level I was. Still only in my early 40s so plenty of time to get back into it. I'll see if I can dig out some photos later.
  4. Thanks, I had a quick google at the time but couldn’t quite find the right article.. I wouldn’t have thought 6% to 9% is a big enough difference to drive change, I deal in risk management for a living and that wouldn’t make us change anything.
  5. 5 times more likely means nothing without some underlying context, does it take the risk from 0.01% to 0.05% or does it take it from 5% to 25%? Big difference between those two scenarios.
  6. 06-07 and 07-08 were the last two seasons I was a regular attendee, man that makes it feel so long ago.. Amazing times to be a Falkirk fan and certainly the pinnacle over the last 30 odd years I've been following us.
  7. I’ve only just watched the highlights from the weekend… how did we not win that game.
  8. 2315 in Auckland! (If I don’t manage to swing a trip home for it)
  9. Watched that on FalkirkTV in the Pullman Hotel in Sydney. Think most of the hotel would have heard me when Kennedy scored and the final whistle blew.
  10. He has to do what it takes to win, if that means shitfesting it then shitfesting is fine with me.
  11. Funny you should say that, it’s been asked more than once today.
  12. Had to love the moment where the ref and standside assistant stood looking at each other deciding who to award the throw in too.
  13. My first game since December 2019, we drew with Airdrie that day. I’m not sure the last time I actually saw us win a game Therefore, a win would be nice, thanks.
  14. It wouldn’t be a home game without a beer in Elliots. And I’ve noticed the cup game is on the Tuesday as well.
  15. Saturday 27th August, Queen of the South at home. KiwiDB incoming
  16. To my utter disgust as a Crusaders fan, he's going to end up taking over England after the World Cup next year isn't he....
  17. One national is more protected than others I thought the ABs were the ones with the reputation of being protected!
  18. Yeah, can someone please explain the two head to head collisions in consecutive weeks with different outcomes?
  19. Nope, in a squad of 25 players (roughly) it’ll probably need 25 different approaches.
  20. Nope, he lectures on “The Business of Entertainment, Media and Sports” program. Try again. And we also played a lot of shite football in the 90s as well.
  21. Only obvious to you who lived in the 1990s. You have no idea what our lot need.
  22. No, Dick is also a very successful businessman so I’m sure he’s well aware that everyone is different and needs a different style of leadership and motivation.
