  1. It's an afternoon kickoff, so there's no need to manually light the stadium. And no option to sabotage the floodlights in the middle of the inevitable gubbing. We may have to witness the full 90 minutes of horror to accompany the half-decent pie.
  2. That's against SPFL rules isn't it? Away fans can't be charged more for comparable tickets than home fans. The one caveat is that Hearts and Aberdeen have particularly byzantine ticket pricing structures, so there may well be some matching part of the stadium where Hearts fans get tickets are the away fan prices.
  3. BBC reporting that Mackie is likely to be going to Dundee on loan, which I assume is related to the Naismith signing.
  4. BBC Sport runs with a montage including Flo Kamberi for their transfer deadline day live thread, which was a bit of a jump scare. Thankfully there's nothing there other than a rumour about Jason Naismith covering for Sir David Gray. I suppose an occasional dose of the old adrenaline probably has some health benefits...
  5. Okay okay, this is their first competitive game of football.
  6. Just back from that game, and the scoreline is amusing. Maybe we're still a global fitba' superpower after all, though the fact that Cyprus Women's International Football Team had never actually played a game of football before probably helped.
  7. You're not. Your mistake is talking to the types of people likely to bring those things up in conversation.
  8. Be fair guys, It's only been a couple of duff results. Our Swedish male model Malky will be on hand to screen the defence, push the game forward, kick the legs from under the Motherwell midfield for being ugly, deliver the ball to the Kamberi/Allan axis of awesome and resuscitate Hecky's career. It's only the 2nd 3rd 4th league game of the season. There's plenty of time to sort it out. Have faith.
  9. I'm still trying to work out the difference between 'mass shootings in the Bahawalpur sense' and 'mass shootings in the Baruch Goldstein sense' or 'mass shootings in the Anders Breivik' sense. As far as I can tell the sorry wee fascist roaster is drawing the line at being a muslim when he's doing the mass murder. It's kindof a step too far for him.
  10. I always give a little internal cheer when the whatabouterists don't just pick the other half of Glasgow but broaden their horizons to "But what about that time that Dunfermline/Fortmartine United/Chelsea/Sparta Prague/Nagoya Grampus did <whatever>?". It makes a refreshing change by the standards of these things.
  11. For all practical purposes, it is the same as racism.
  12. I was promised no more signings this window and was all geared up for 9 months of crushing disappointment. Hecky lied to us! Sack the board!
  13. I linked to it. It seems reasonable enough, as these things go. I'm anticipating a heids-gone yowling and gnashing of teeth from the Union Bears or Vanguard Bears or similar, though.
  14. There was me thinking the home strip looked quite smart without the tacky betting shop advertising on the front.
  15. UEFA seems to be made of sterner stuff than the SFA and have ordered Rangers to close part of Ibrox for their next Europe game, due to 'racist' behaviour' which appears to mean the usual party songs under UEFA's definition. https://rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/uefa-statement/ I suspect the reaction to this from the mass of Rangers fans will be a mixture of self-righteous indignation, whataboutery and embarrassment in roughly equal measure.
  16. That was heavy going, but with a bit of effort and some luck in the January transfer window, Heckingbottom has got all the makings of a top 3 team, and we could easily be vying for promotion into the Scottish Premiership. Also that number 16 fella does have some throw on him.
  17. From the looks of the Hibs ticket site, I'd say about 8k + whatever Greenock brings through.
  18. Apparently the record thinks Basel is considering paying £2 million for Kamberi, though their scout showed up to watch the Rangers game, so maybe they've had second thoughts.
  19. You forgot to mention Whittaker; is this you accepting that the current Rangers are not the same team that Whittaker once played for?
  20. That's us got this Middleton fellow's loan over the line. I can see reasonable quantities of seethe from both the Rangers and Hibs fans already, which makes me happy. I'm hoping a few Celtic fans will join in the gnashing of teeth at this act of treacherous souptakery.
  21. There's always the possibility of a banana skin in ties like this. Morton are the clear favourites, but with the home advantage and Hibs having one or two players who are a cut above the mediocre League One dross that comprises their main player roster, there's a chance that on a good day and with a bit of luck, Hecky's plucky underdogs could pull off a shock result here and go through to the next round.
