  1. Shelley Kerr sounds like Steven Pressley. And Jonathan Sutherland has a massive right foot.
  2. i'd be more inclined to agree with you if it wasn't for their silly wee fanny ultras in khakhi paramilitary uniforms, their glorification of terrorism in Ireland, and the fact that they find losing (or sometimes even drawing) any domestic match absolutely unacceptable to the point of furious tear-stained protests. I think there's plenty of hatred amongst the Celtic support for their perceived enemies (you're absolutely right about the hatred underpinning Rangers tho). They're as bad as each other. Here are the clubs I can muster an opinion on. The rest I have no feelings about at all.
  3. Just trailed it again: "We are chadding VAR, stay tuned for thad lader after we go round the grounds in the Scoddish Championship". Who does Kenny think is eager to listen to yet another VAR chat? What new ground are they going to cover?? Also, Oakley is a "big big" player for Morton and today is a "big big" game for Falkirk. Great insights there Kenny.
  4. It's frustrating that the anniversary top is one of our best ever, second only to World Cup 86 - and we used it for about 5 mins. This new one looks sh1t (there is no place for yellow) and our worst since the Vogts-era pinstripe monstrosity IMO.
  5. He has an agent/management team (Bounce) but I agree, this is a weird one. It's mildly amusing but he's on their tour now, and IMO he looks a bit silly doing it because he's struggled to make an impact over there so far. If I was Bob I'd maybe save the wind ups for when I'm competing and contending at the top end of leaderboards rather than off a M/C at the Players. I also get that it meant a lot to him and rightly so, but it's maybe time he moves on from the 2023 Ryder Cup.
  6. Israel losing heavily and not getting near the Euros is brilliant stuff and the most important thing. However, the gloating apparently mostly being done by Celtic fans who see themselves as the Palestinians' White Knights is a massive cringe. PS F4CK OFF WALES YOU JAMMY C4NTS
  7. I'd love to see Finland win this and knock the Welsh out. Love it. Incidentally, this was a good read the other day. Litmanen was some pler. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2024/mar/17/jari-litmanen-on-ajax-barca-and-a-wrist-that-broke-into-eight-pieces
  8. Where have you seen accusations of impartial journalism from Scottish football reporters (if anywhere)? Never seen that personally but maybe others have.
  9. That's a wee shame for Wynd Ham.
  10. Don't forget the guy who wants to talk to us about his leakage...
  11. I may be in the minority here but I really struggle with Sky's coverage in general. Far too many ad breaks, and a lot of annoying commentators. Dame Laura is at least cheerful and does add the odd insight, but Ewen Murray is bad - tends to sound pretty bored, aaaaaaaand randomly lengthens words for no reason. McGinley is unbearable - a wittering blowhard who is obsessed with Rory. Nick Dougherty is an irritating lightweight, and even Coltart doesn't add much for me even though he's Scottish. The banter with the co-comms about him being rubbish is getting really tedious. I quite like Beem and Henni though - he does the old grump role better than Murray (and has actually been there and done it on tour and won a major) and she is fine to listen to and knowledgable; tends to be more focused on the action than Coltart et al. too. Delighted to see Wyndham "Personality" Clark dump it in the water on 17 so far short of the green - an absolutely terrible shot. I'm amazed his caddy's practice putting strokes with a wedge on the green is allowed - that must be at the limit of slow play p1ss-taking, worse even than Aimpoint.
  12. Routine three points against Greenock. We have no competent keeper, we're toiling badly, they have recently been on a 16 game unbeaten run - and yet we're somehow still above them. Oh, and Big Brian Graham scores again. Chuckle.
  13. I remember Clark's drive on the last hole of the US Open he won last year. A massive carve, about 60 yards right which on any other USO course would have resulted in dropped shots. Great that Bob beat him in Rome but it was a ghost match which was barely shown. We may be entering the Scheffler/ Clark era... zero personality between them.
  14. I agree on the play off spot, which probably isn't going to happen now and would be pointless anyway. All I would say in Doolan's defence is that although we've scored a decent amount of goals, goalkeeping howlers have dogged us. Last season Sneddon and Mitchell were both competent 6-7/10 Championship keepers and this year they're both catastrophically bad, as is the wage-thief backup. I'm not sure that is on the manager and really it's what has cost us a lot of points. The defence has issues, but when you have three terrible GKs with zero form and confidence between them you will always be in bother and that will affect the rest of the team. The glory days of Tam Černý are a distant memory and I'd welcome back free-agent Scott "beaten at the near post" Fox, things are that bad. I'm not even sure I am joking.
  15. Fern's buddy Struan is staying over for a few days. A pretty chilled out duo (after the usual zoomies on the morning walk).
  16. The question for Clarke and Shankland is, are Germany, Switzerland and Hungary's defences going to be easier to score against than Morton's?
  17. I think it looks brilliant under the lights.
  18. Townsend's talent is clearly as attack coach - he has undoubtedly transformed Scotland into a potent attacking team. Trouble is they are still soft as shite overall, easily intimidated, lose concerntration for half an hour at a time, and always immediately fold under pressure. We need a scary ruthless character ideally as head coach or at least as the forwards coach. The second half at the weekend there was headless chickens stuff - no leadership on or off the field. It doesn't look to me like they believe they are winners (except for Russell, but he's not capable of instilling discipline across the team when they need it). There is still a triple crown on offer next weekend but I can't see any reason why this team will get any more against Ireland than they did in the disgraceful no-show in the WC - we'll lose by 20+. This really is a waste of a great generation of players. They haven't even managed 2nd in the 6N under GT never mind coming close to winning it, partly because Ireland know how to nullify us and we don't have any surprises to spring. The only thing which will cheer me up slightly is if Italy beat Wales next week so the Welsh end up 0-5.
  19. "Biscuits" squealing through an argument with angry Michael, egged on by Kenny Mac. A suitable soundtrack to activities at a CIA black site.
  20. He's that rare thing - a genuinely brilliant golfer who just isn't fun to watch. I fear this year could be a borefest with SS and Wyndham Clark winning a lot. Fingers crossed for some really bad weather at Troon.
  21. 1. So what? 2. It was in the cup. 3. Fair enough. I quite like them too. 4. Sadly I am not sure about that, the Jags last won a trophy in 1971 (I don't personally count the Tennents Sixes) and this season's been another mediocre plod in the second tier.
