  1. looking at this from any potential suitors approach given both McCall and McIntyre have rejected it publicly, the way things are going we are going to go for inexperienced rookie manager or someone needing to rebuild their stock in management as a stepping stone to better things. if it was an eipisode of Still Game it would be Winston being asked to be Tam's best man after Jack, Victor, Boaby and Pete the Jakey knocked it back
  2. Isnt Margaret Langs legal job employment law surely to f**k she could find a loophole
  3. Hadji was his assistant at the Ton am pretty sure his name was in the frame before Hartley got announced last time or was an option at least.
  4. Took temp charge of sunderland when Coleman was sacked given the amount of players he would know with us could be worth a shout ? If we had 50 notes on interest and given how many of them are the usual suspects surely to f**k there has to be someone half decent in that 50 strong list of potential although most on that list of potential fill me with dread than joy: https://www.thesackrace.com/teams/falkirk
  5. In all fairness thought Balatoni was decent just bad timing with his injury and obv he didnt fit in with Hartleys plans but the same time i think most of us have slated an ex employer at one time although doing it on social media probably isnt the best way to go about things given how employers check up on that sort of thing these days.
  6. In all fairness we did escape relegation so in that sense it was job done which was the aim.
  7. Surely to f**k the players aren't that bad its just PH man management was w*nk, just appoint someone with decent man management with the tendency to get the best out of players though in all fairness PH ruthless streak was needed and he was vindicated on that by us escaping relegation.
  8. Think any of the Gary Caldwell, Jim McIntyre or Ian McCall would be fine with most of our support on a positive note one good thing Hartley did was get shot of Sheps
  9. He recently left as Manager of the Philippines national team earlier this year, i would say its not high on his priority list at the moment due to his son taking his life because of PTSD.
  10. If whats been said the scout from down south was the one responsible for what we have and that Hartley hadnt seen any then he can only be responsible for the tactics and team selection not the overall skill set of the player bear in mind some of those players were highly rated by their former club. Same time i dare say there are a lot more issues affecting things which i dare say could be put down to the coaching/training. The BoD need to take their share of the blame if they were responsible for the Scouting being outsourced from Hartley. in all fairness given the names being banded about last time PH and Owen Coyle were the only 2 that anyone really fancied. I really dont hope we go for the usual suspects that are on the managerial merry go round theres a reason why they are out of work.
  11. That sounds far too much like common sense something that our BoD isnt reknowned for
  12. Once this done we need another restructure, Hartley can only go by what he was handed as prospects by the Scout to sign although he picks the team and the tactics the last 2 yrs have everything for a club in some sort of crisis more going by leadership or lack of at the top we need to get this one right. Last year Hartley was pretty much everyones choice for taking over due to the options available, i dont want the usual suspects anywhere near our club especially Yogi.
  13. Too much sense in that post am i on the right thread .....
  14. Difference is Harris career he has played in Scotland the whole time the other young lads its different, its not U23s for them, bear in mind some of them are only 19 and first time away from in another town/country and in this case playing football with 15 other blokes they just met a month and a half ago.
  15. Given PH said at the start he wants players that can play more than one position read into that what you will but its a case of i prefer left midfield than left back but i have played there in the past, OK so we have no natural right back but have players that have played at right back even though its not their natural position. I would see yes it is a bit of a weakness but still have cover there.
  16. 32 goals is not to bad return for 80 games tbh
  17. Might be so but you also had folk calling out Aird for being a Sevco supporter and for him to GTF, Craigen not being good enough tbh i thought he was no bad or Baird and McHugh personally you couldn't fault Baird's work rate or effort and the fact us and Raith are the 2 clubs where his goal stats are quite good (32 for us) and McHugh was a cracking impact sub and a good poacher as in the Hibs and Rangers games folk deemed not good enough so effectively no matter what we get as a support they wont be good enough by some corners of our support. Your never going to keep everyone happy but regardless what the club does there is always going to be someone that moans about a decision for one reason or another.
  18. With all the signings that were happening everyone was thinking "great a new approach thinking outside the box and not signing the same old championship cast offs" folk thinking f**k it it might not pay of but lets enjoy the rollercoaster and thats what it is its a rollercoaster calm down and lets see what pans out it might take a bit of time but we have been in this league long enough to know everyone is going to take points of everyone for every loss there is going to be a win some weeks results will go our way some they wont. of would you rather have Bairdy, Craigen, Aird, Gasparotto , McHugh Cant just sit back and do nothing board and Hartley need to try something different we tried the usual suspects it didnt workany other time so time for different appraoch look on the bright side we might have appointed Csaba.
  19. At the time we were looking for a new manager the only 2 people i think i would have wanted and indeed was in most peoples minds were either Jack Ross who wouldnt lets face it or Hartley, the only other name that would have been in contention that folk would have wanted was Owen Coyle who is pretty much onto the usual suspects that needs a job that gets banded about like Yogi, Jim McIntyre, Gus McPherson. Am not even going to try to justify it after 1 league game theres hitting the panic button early and theres taking the piss and the whole topic over the past few days goes towards taking the p*ss. I thought it was bad Blackpool got shot of their manager after 1 league game.
  20. Just a sense of reality of the situation Sheps. like how you managed to start a crowd w*nk there good way to deflect. So whats your plan to boost us to the top flight or what would it be seeing as you know what it takes sack PH, restate Houstie, put yourself as a lone striker as your goals are going to shoot us to the top ? The board have tried a few ideas if something isnt working then you change it whats that old saying definition of insanity doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome, if it means changing from plan a to plan b to plan c then so it it they cant just stick with the same plan am not saying the board have got it right but ffs the knicker wetting after 1 league game.
  21. Anything better than 8th is a start and progression as far as things go folk moaned about us being bullied off the ball last season we have signed more physical players (Dallison and Harrison) and we still moan, folk go on about dropping the tippy tappy p*sh so we try to win ugly by punting long balls folk moan at that, wanted players that can show a bit of hunger and desire with a point to prove (TOE, Turner, Lewis) we done that still moaning, wanted players that werent over the hill and looking for a final wage we done that by signing the young lads still moaning, wanted an experienced players in midfield and up front ala Paton and Haber still moaning So basically what your looking for a Man Utd/Barca/Real/Juventus first team thats going to win week in wek out not have to do any tweaking and can predict the line up weekly The academy was closed to save a bit of cash it MIGHT start up again in the future should we get promoted but for us to be the only championship club with an academy to fund without the likes of OF paydays or the Edinburgh teams to bring the numbers through the gates Until he shipped players out last season we didnt win till Christmas and started bringing his own in we were 9 points behind Dumbarton which we managed to over take and were unlucky not to finish a bit higher so am confident in PH ability to get it together he even said himself rebuilding teams is what he is good at give it a bit of time not day 1 on the first game of the season.
  22. The only thing lost is the plot by some of the posters on this thread
  23. or on Edibairns logic the fact Froxylias wasnt on the bench as was some others ALL the players have fell out with Hartley
