In all fairness he wasn't by far the worst, although his coming out for cross balls was a worrying one. His standout game was the remembrance Sunday game against Celtic he played an absolute blinder, pen save as well was there not ? This is bloody grim when your having a sh*te season you can always rely on nostalgia to keep you going.

I would go for looking for an on form starting 11 or a decent 11 as i am pretty sure ours went missing at start of the season

He needed a start point there no sense in having as many players and rotating them constantly to find out who is better in what position and who can work with who. We needed to get a settled starting 11 get them playing in a certain way and work with them that way they will start to know how each other works, the rest can work on formation and fitness and come in as and when players dip in form (although with the current crop it would be easier to notice who was on form). or that would be my take on why certain players arent player, with Froxy i def think there is a player in there but needs to get a bit fitter

pretty sure the Morton fans that were on here had expected us to pay a fee to them for Russell as they had offered him a contract but the offer had been withdrawn when McKinnon took over so more than likely didnt feel he had what he wanted as in style of play and more than likely he stands by that.

Thing is you have to look at is those are the youngest of the summer signings and if Hartley was as big an arsehole as whats been touted then their confidence is going to be shot to f**k, maybe dropping them and building them up bit by bit is the plan. Some are starting to show signs of improvement but for the likes of Dallison and Harrison they should be making their mark on attacking players same as Muirhead we are too standoffish and allowing other teams to come at us instead of closing them down as soon as they have possession (see Muirhead against Dundee Utd for that one)

I still say Joe Tortolano and would prob go for Brian Hamilton as well to add into that.

TBF we did give Sheps sorry Edibairn a 2 yr deal

If RM is playing them in reserve games and they are following the same formation and instructions then its an adjustment period for them do well in reserves they get there place in the first team should they be required or that would be my thinking of it

Defensively i would drop Dallison bring Brough into his position, Robson at LB keep Harrison where he is as think he is growing into the position and as mentioned sign a RB as much as a like Aero he isnt a RB or a Captain and was woeful against Dundee Utd. We have to remember a lot of these guys are still young and are either still learning or suffering a lack of confidence probably cause they were being ripped a new arsehole by Hartley. So far i have been impressed with McKinnon he seems to be a good manager and they do seem to be settling a lot more.

Rudden we need to keep beyond January, Lewis i think offers something or has potential just by the looks is still adjusting to the game up here, Mackin not seen him yet but think could offer something if the tactic is lump it up to the big c**t up front to score and Haber have yet to see anything from him other than an Obstacle on the park for folk to go round which is still pretty much more than any of our defence has done.

McKinnon has already spoke out on that subject and has pretty much said the reason those players are without a club is for a number of reasons, injury prone, not match fit, or just generally poor in quality/attributes.

I think even McKinnon is looking at team and formation lucky dip given what he has to work with, i dont envy the man. As mentioned previously Brendan Rodgers lad Anton was the trialist playing yesterday, his last team was Irish side Hungerford Town, its in the Falkirk Herald

I thought the Mitch appointment was the BoD appointment as they wanted Hartley concentrating on the team more than the scouting ?

I have faith in McKinnon its the rest of the team i don't have much faith in, someone posted earlier team should be taken to the exhibit at Callendar House to see how much the club means to fans or even a fans forum with the team as they clearly dont see what the club means to a lot of us. Trouble is there doesn't seem to be one of them that really gives a sh*te about the club.
