Most of the guys we have signed so far have either played in the premier league or have experience of a similar level. Connolly played in the premiership with united, tidser has played at league one and in the premier, Gomis has played top flight football with United, hearts and motherwell, Dixon has an international cap. Buchanan is the only guy signed so far that hasnt played at that level. Darren Hill was home grown if I remember right and played 40 games for the club. Anyone wanting us to sign young players is kidding themselves. Why would any decent young player sign for us at this level and no point in signing shite just because they're young.

Yeah but they were all on peanuts. As I said most had signed for livi from part time teams, the juniors or were happy to take anything due to their shady past. About half your 29 players started less than 5 games and 9 or 10 never started any so they were really playing with a pretty tight first eleven and a lot of youngsters.

Our budget will be bigger than livi who signed players from league one and league two and others noone would sign because of their police records.

He'll do a job as a utility back up in the championship but to me was too weak as a centrehalf and doesnt have the attacking ability to play fullback. Don't think many Falkirk fans are that bothered about him leaving.

We've also seen during the last two years that players can be punted whilst under contract on a regular basis.

If Mckinnons not playing 3 at the back next season then there was no point in Robson staying. Dixon has the flexibility of being able to play left back and centrehalf. If we're going for a smaller squad this season then we'll need to have a few players that can do that.

We really will need to. I don't think we've even got a player at the moment we could shoehorn into the role like we've been doing for the past 5 years or so. Dixon will do a decent job again . Not overly bothered about Mcghee and robson going.

No matter who we sign up top, I doubt we'll know whether or not they'll do a job El bak that was at the pars is free at the mo. He was pish in the championship and above but scored a barrowload at this level.

No but having seen him play last season I didn't see anything that would make me desperate for him to come back. Mckinnon seemed to rate him by saying he'll have a big say in things but he did feck all. I wanted to see him given him more game time initially until he did and he did absolutely nothing. He may do a job at league one level who knows.

Is the food that bad there?

He didn't score one single goal and that's the only stat I'd really care about.

He was offered to Alloa but they weren't interested. Wasn't really interested in somewhere out the way either like a Montrose or a Peterhead. It wasn't something he was desperate to do but was willing to play for the right club in the right circumstances.

Was still willing to play part time though. He's got a scouting job with chelsea now and can't commit to a full time playing contract.

Chance of being in project Brave has been and gone now mate. We've missed that boat. If we want to start back up we'll have to fund it 100% ourselves. Another reason why it was a terrible decision.

Might be ok in league one but couldn't score for toffee in the championship. Was not at all surprised when he got the heave from Luton.

And to think some folk on here were actually overjoyed at the news.

Well, don't say you weren't warned. Not a player i wouldve entertained at championship level but will do fine in the seaside league.

Seemed to do fine last time he was at this level funnily enough. Team of the year as queens strolled it.

At least i wont have to watch the one bounce volleys over the midfields heads any more to absolutely noone. I wouldve kept him as he probably wouldve done a job at league one level as his career comes towards its conclusion. Dunfermline obviously arent interested in promotion again this season.

They would've been printing a whole new squad of shirts every 6 months.
