  1. Any updates on the Hibs game yet? Trying to find information on it, but struggling.
  2. I've seen the following clubs at a home game in their current ground, unless mentioned otherwise. Scotland: (28) Premiership: (3/12) Aberdeen Dundee St. Johnstone Championship: (2/10) Alloa Athletic Dundee United League One: (6/10) Airdrieonians Brechin City Arbroath Forfar Montrose Raith Rovers League Two: (4/10) Albion Rovers Cowdenbeath Queen's Park (international & Scottish cup) Stirling Albion Lowland League: (1/16) Kelty Hearts East of Scotland League: (5/39) Dundonald Bluebell Hill of Beath Hawthorn Jeanfield Swifts Musselburgh Athletic (final South region challenge cup) Sauchie Juniors East Superleague: (7/12) Broughty Athletic Carnoustie Panmure Fauldhouse United Forfar West End Kennoway Star Hearts Lochee United Thornton Hibs England: (55) Premier League: (3/20) Everton Manchester City (Play-off final) Championship: (7/24) Aston Villa (international) Bolton Wanderers Bristol City Derby County Leeds United Nottingham Forest Sheffield United League One: (11/24) Accrington Stanley AFC Wimbledon Barnsley Bradford City Burton Albion Luton Town Portsmouth Rochdale Scunthorpe United Shrewsbury Town Southend United League Two: (8/24) Bury Cambridge United Carlisle United Mansfield Town Northampton Town Notts County Port Vale Stevenage National League: (5/24) Bromley Chesterfield Dagenham & Redbridge Gateshead Sutton United National League North: (5/22) Alfreton Town Curzon Ashton Kidderminster Harriers Southport York City Other non-league: (9) Tamworth Eastbourne Borough Staines Town Uxbridge Long Eaton United Shildon Croydon Chessington & Hook Holbrook Sports Other grounds: (1) Wembley Old grounds: (6) Church Road (Hayes & Yeading) Don Valley (Rotherham United) New Ferens Park (Durham City) Saltergate (Chesterfield) Darlington Arena (Darlington) Underhill (Barnet) The Netherlands: (57) Eredivisie: (18/18) ADO Den Haag Ajax AZ Alkmaar De Graafschap FC Emmen Excelsior Feyenoord Fortuna Sittard FC Groningen SC Heerenveen Heracles Almelo NAC Breda PEC Zwolle PSV FC Utrecht VVV Venlo Vitesse Willem II Eerste Divisie: (16/20) Almere City Cambuur Leeuwarden FC Den Bosch FC Dordrecht FC Eindhoven Go Ahead Eagles Helmond Sport MVV Maastricht NEC Nijmegen FC Oss RKC Waalwijk Roda JC Sparta Telstar FC Twente FC Volendam Non-league: (19) AGOVV (professional club that went bust, but restarted in non-league) RBC (professional club that went bust, but restarted in non-league) Haarlem (professional club that went bust, but non-league club playing there now) Veendam (professional club that went bust, but non-league club playing there now) Excelsior Maassluis IJsselmeervogels Quick Boys Spakenburg Capelle Westlandia Heerjansdam NEC Amateurs Schijndel FSV Oldenzaal DVV'09 TOGB DFS SV Terwolde Other grounds: (1) Olympic Stadium Amsterdam Old grounds: (3) Alkmaarderhout (AZ) Oosterenk (PEC Zwolle) Zuiderpark (ADO Den Haag) Belgium: (3) Union Saint Gilloise Westerlo Woluwe Germany: (2) St. Pauli RB Leipzig (for league cup final) Luxembourg: (1) National stadium Wales: (1) Cardiff City Norway: (1) National stadium
  3. That's why I said "if the SJFA do it right". I didn't say whether or not I expect them to do it right.
  4. I think the remaining East juniors south of the Tay & tier 7 in the EOS should join together in parallel leagues, possibly starting with 3 regional divisions moving to a region-wide tier 7 & 2 regional divisions at tier 8.
  5. The remaining East teams south of the Tay could join tier 7 in the EOS. The north of Tay teams can merge with the north juniors, the top division can go straight into tier 6. Some space will be needed for the NCL, but that could become a regional division at tier 7 I suppose. In the west it doesn't seem too difficult either, they can just enter at tier 6, probably give the chance to better SOS teams to join at tier 6 and have the remainder of the SOS as a feeder at tier 7. If amateur teams (Glasgow University?) apply, they can be put in an appropriate tier. It shouldn't be too difficult outside the east really, if the SJFA do it right.
  6. For Club Brugge you need to be a "member", but you can get a membership when you buy a ticket and it doesn't seem to cost anything. You can just get it online. Not entirely sure about Standard, but it seems to be something different. I've got local contacts for both, so if you need any help, just PM me.
  7. That's the problem of the geography in England. They just split the 2 leagues in north/south by putting the 22 northernmost teams in the north division and the others in the south division. As England's population is very much concentrated in the south-east, this results in some crazy splits. In previous years sides like Gloucester have been in the north division as well.
  8. At least finishing visiting all Superleague grounds will be easy for me. 5 to go, including Tayport & 2 in Dundee.
  9. Seems the most sensible structure to me. It prevents some absolute mismatches like Lochee United v Forfar Albion. Fauldhouse & Pumpherston look like the odd ones out in the Superleague, but there is no way to really prevent that.
  10. I've got no idea what to think of him. But managerial appointments at Excelsior usually raise eyebrows and work out well, so who knows?
  11. I hope Engordany v Folgore is picked for live coverage!
  12. I would hope the East will get a 12 team superleague and 2 regionalised 12 team leagues underneath. I understand the issues, but games like Lochee United v Blairgowrie Juniors would be too imbalanced imo.
  13. How deep is his head in the sand? This is astonishing. Surely, regardless of your position on the pyramid and regardless whether or not you want your own club (if still junior) to move, everyone will agree that the SJFA needs to act now and make drastic improvements on how they are running the game?
  14. Can you me through what it means? Are you so shocked by the thought of a fixture list that you forgot how to write in proper English?
  15. What a game this. Real drama right until the end, so glad I kept watching it! This shows once again how the sport is improving in associate nations and what a farcical decision it was from the ICC to reduce the World Cup to 10 teams.
  16. Plus: if you keep saying clubs need to give a year's notice, you're not exactly winning credibility by kicking the one club that did give a year's notice out immediately.
  17. Ok, who from the junior section on here has written that? The what now is a good question for Dundee sides, but the article is ridiculous. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Pie and Bovril mobile app
  18. It's not been officially confirmed yet, but it's likely that the 3 conference champions go into a round robin with the winner taking in the SoS champions for promotion (if both are licensed). Sent from my SM-J510FN using Pie and Bovril mobile app
  19. But you can't get licensed if you're not in the pyramid. That's why a joint application of a few clubs would test this odd situation. Sent from my SM-J510FN using Pie and Bovril mobile app
  20. If any north of Tay clubs are serious about joining the pyramid, they should all team up and collectively apply to the HL. That will result in either the league rejecting them and giving them a case to complain to the SFA about being excluded from the pyramid or accepting them and forcing the HL to split in a premier and first division, in which case the latter can eventually be filled up with more juniors/NCL clubs and effectively moving all north clubs into the pyramid. 21. I volunteer, I'm not the fattest, but I'm definitely shit at playing football.
  22. And that's the point, someone made a comparison to a person not wanting to work his notice period, there would be no point having that person miserable in the office during that time. Clubs could just field a youth side in the juniors, get battered regularly and make a mockery of the league. If they don't want to stay, it's pointless to force them even if that's possible.
  23. That and some club names are incorrect. Hillfield Inverkeithing Swifts should actually be Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts. Lothian Thistle Hutchinson Vale might be called LTHV by many people, the abbreviation is not official so any official league documents will contain the full name. Same with Tweedmouth/Burntisland, called like that by many people but their real names are Tweedmouth Rangers & Burntisland Shipyard.
