  1. The Lowland League have already confirmed that the bottom club, now number 15, will get relegated with a possible second relegation spot if a LL area team get relegated from SPFL2 & a HL team get promoted. This is because there are now officially 15 teams in the league, with the regulations clearly mentioning the bottom (and possibly second bottom) club get relegated, positions are not mentioned. There will be a vacancy however, meaning that the relegated club(s) can apply to be re-elected to the LL. I'd expect them to have a decent chance as the LL clubs won't want a club to be punished because of Selkirk's demise. In theory there can even be 2 vacancies, but for that either Elgin or Peterhead have to finish bottom & lose the play-off against the LL champions. Not very likely imo.
  2. Sure, maybe some time later in the season, or when you have an away game at any of the teams I'm still planning to visit!
  3. Ah ok, good man. Excellent way to see a bit of the country too. What brought you over here? (Other than a plane or a boat) Long story short, I was already living/working in central England but that wasn't really what I wanted. Then a company trading internationally over here were desperate for someone speaking fluent Dutch/German. As you can imagine, they aren't too easy to find, so I grabbed the chance and moved up. Not regretting it.
  4. No, I don't support a particular team. I moved here just over a year ago, I'm originally from The Netherlands. I support Excelsior Rotterdam, but as I can't exactly go to many games, I decided to go to different grounds across Scotland. I've always been a fan of lower league/non-league football. Lochee Utd are just my closest team.
  5. I've been to most East Superleague grounds and a number of Premier League ones last season. After all the changes there are a few left for me in the new Superleague to finish the league. Tayport is one of them (others I still got to go to are Downfield, Kirrie, Glenrothes & Whitburn).
  6. I've already been to Carnoustie previously, never been to Tayport before, that's why.
  7. Is anybody able to help me? I'm planning to visit Tayport v Fauldhouse next week, but on the Tayport website I saw the game was being played in Fauldhouse, yet on the SJFA website it's listed as a home game for Tayport. Can anyone confirm it's being played in Tayport? Also, is there a club house or something to have a pre-match pint? Maybe @superbigal knows?
  8. Leipzig is a great place to go. The club isn't very attractive, but the city is absolutely great, well worth a visit.
  9. The most professional organisation based at Hampden is Queen's Park Football Club, who are amateurs...
  10. Motherwell 3-3 Rangers today. Now done 24 of the 42.
  11. They haven't exactly been welcoming to the idea of relegation from their league in recent years. Hopefully that's changing now, but until then, you can't blame FW for being in that league.
  12. What is actively damaging the league is their refusal so far to properly join the pyramid & allow relegation. Once that happens, FW will drop down to the level that is appropriate for them, whatever that might be, while other clubs that "should" be in the HL, will end up there.
  13. Almost all clubs only have some kind of fan registration system for the high risk games, like Ajax v Feyenoord or Go Ahead Eagles v Zwolle for example. Even then, I attended a number of Dutch high risk games with tickets bought for me by others...
  14. What an amazing story would that be, a club from Luxembourg qualifying for the group stage. Their league has improved in recent years, it has become more professional. But they're still only part time, so it's an amazing achievement if they can do it.
  15. The effect of the league reconstruction there on the national team is negligible. It was a part of a wide package of reforms, it's widely accepted that a far improved youth structure & better management structures in the domestic game had lots more influence on the improvement of Belgium in both the national team & league (which is much higher on the UEFA coefficient ranking than 10 years ago).
  16. They'd probably be seen as a relegated team, meaning they'd go into tier 6 = EOS Premier.
  17. If they can't get a team together now, I don't see how they could suddenly do it in the EOS. Also, they'd drop straight into the EOS First Division for next season if this happens. Then they are better off going into abeyance now and re-join a strong EOS Premier next season for which they have plenty of time to prepare.
  18. None of the countries ranked 48th - 55th have any clubs left in any competition. Therefore the new bottom 4 is known. Gibraltar have overtaken Northern Ireland, meaning the Northern Irish champions will play in the CL preliminary tournament with the champions of Kosovo, Andorra and San Marino for 1 spot in the 1st qualifying round. They will also lose an EL spot, so they will only send 2 teams to the EL.
  19. Let them swap places with LTHV if they prefer doing a step back!
  20. I was born in The Netherlands but have lived in the UK for nearly a decade now (first England, then Scotland). Over here, people think I'm Dutch, German or Scandinavian (people often struggle placing my accent more exactly). Yet when I'm speaking Dutch in The Netherlands they ask me what part of the UK I'm from...
  21. That's one of the reasons why I enjoy this so much. I go to random places all over the country (as I don't just limit myself to the 42 SPFL teams, but I also go to non-league, senior and junior). I get to go to some places I'd never think of visiting. Some of those places might not be the greatest, but there are other places I've been to and really enjoyed while never having heard of it before I moved to Scotland.
  22. Technically I'm definitely a "groundhopper" here in Scotland, as I'm not following a particular team but I'm just going to random games across the country. I do have a favourite team though, but as they're in The Netherlands, I don't get to see them that often now I live over here, still try to follow them online, on TV etc, although that's not the same. As I still love football, I have decided to go around watching different games over here now. I'm trying to do "the 42" in Scotland, but I don't do all these silly rules. I count a ground if I've been there and seen a football game, it's as simple as that. I couldn't really give a shit if someone else says I'm not doing it properly. I'm not doing it to impress others, I'm just doing it as a personal hobby. For these groundhopper "sects", it's far more an obsession than a hobby, I don't even want to get any "recognition" by them!
  23. I think most "groundhoppers" want to avoid "serious groundhoppers". I just go to various different grounds, I don't make it a religious thing in not counting the ground if they don't issue a program, if it's a friendly or whatever. A friend of mine who has been to all 92 league grounds in England hasn't done "the 92" according to some of those "serious groundhoppers", as he went to some of the clubs before their last promotion. Apparently, if a club has been relegated from the EFL and comes back up, you'll have to visit them again...
