McGlynn hasn't achieved much in the game for a while though.

He reached his peak in 2011, pulling together a side and putting in a credible title challenge, since then though?

Dunfermline unfortunately got to play McKinnons Brechin a few times and they were a nightmare. You could argue his fourth place with Raith, with the sides in that division is just as impressive as the second place McGlynn achieved.

There's not much between what they've achieved but McKinnons achievements are more recent and make him more attractive.

Utter shite, failing at United, staying 3weeks at Morton and relegating falkirk

Nando was named man of the match and, in fairness, grew into the game as it progressed, making a glorious headed clearance late on.

However, for me, Regan Hendry was several levels above anyone else on the park. The only issue is that he's mentally so far ahead of everyone else that a couple of moves broke down as no one read what he was about to do.

I'm probably getting completely carried away, but he looks very much in the Silky Hetherston mould.

He will do well with Vaughan when he returns, 2 class players

I'm probably in the minority that thinks this, but right now i look at Falkirk in terms of their organisation and structure as a club, and i see a shambles. More often than not that translates onto the pitch. In Mckinnon (similar to Smith for you guys last year) they have a manager that must come flying out of the traps, and an unkind fixture list could have him in all kinds of trouble come christmas.  I wouldnt be surprised if Falkirk, and their big crowds are in for a much tougher season than they anticipate, and are certainly not my favourites for the league.

Airdrie and yourselves i think will be up there, and i wouldn't bet against Montrose continuing to be a strong team in the league.

McGlynn is doing what probably should have been done last year, a sqaud with a few bigger names as part of an overall well organised team, as opposed to a team of championship journeymen.

Far too much common sense for this thread, please leave ;-)!!and East Fife will be up there as well imo

Thats not what he said. At all.

Last summer, at this point we only had Buchanan and Duggan as 'established' strikers with Vaughan struggling for fitness. Buchanan, lets not forget, didnt get double figures the previous year. Duggan had 15 from his season with EF.

We signed Nisbet and the fans had zero confidence he'd amount to anything.

Every year is the same, worrying about where the goals are coming from. Anderson isn't intended as a permanent solution,  but McG is curious to see if he can be disruptive up top and the squad is demonstratably too small for a league campaign. McGlynn knows that.

Like last Summer there isn't exactly a slew of 'name' strikers floating about without clubs. League 1 wasn't exactly full of guys who'd you think would be making us a better team either. Its the middle of June and we'll need to see who else comes in, or a definitive statement saying we're done, before panicking. As soemone else wrote, McGlynn can't exactly say on camera that he's desperate for strikers, for one his faith in the young guys might be real enough, for another any agent watching a video of McGlynn putting put an sos for strikers will be shoving 20% on their clients demands.

    This

Expecting Victoria and Spencer to chip in with 10 goals each this season as well, there definitely will be at least 1 striker in imo

I hope you're right but I have major concerns. As I've said before hard work is all well and good but you need quality to go up and I don't see from the signings and re-signings, Hendry and McKay apart, that we're going to be anywhere near good enough.

Time will tell and I hope I'm wrong but I just don't see it.

    Lewis Vaughan lacks quality?

Didn’t say anything in my post regarding amazing! Purely my opinion but they have made better signings than us so far!. Regarding new signings Forfar I would have taken Forbes and Kirkpatrick which will only enhance there team further, Airdrie all good signings likewise East Fife who have owned us last season and strengthened further with there additions we on the other hand we are now weakened in losing Nisbet , Murray along with Duggan who I would have kept , Our leaky defence is needing sorted so he’s sticking by the current Centre halves supported  by if rumours are correct McGeever who is injury prone and played in a worse back four than ours but hey everything’s great and we have nothing to worry about. As I stated early it’s my opinion and I call it as I see it but hopefully I’m proved wrong and they turn out to be good signings

    Wedderburn signed for Airdrie,just saying
