I think some Raith supporters need a reality check, another season in league 1 and with the rumoured levels of debt yer club will have to be very sensible in the transfer market! It can't be easy

Majority of the debt is our shiny new pitch, keep your celebrations on hold for our imminent demise;-)

Been offered another deal at Stranraer but is yet to sign. Was talking to a Raith supporting mate yesterday who said he would like to see him back at starks park. I hope he signs again at Stranraer as he’s a good player to have in your squad as he’s versatile and always gives 100% plus he pops up with a few goals as well.

Well said mate an unsung hero and I will be delighted if he returns

There is no danger Kevin Nisbet would’ve signed a new contract half way through a season whilst top scorer in that league without a clause like that. Not exactly like we’d have been able to offer him substantially more money.

I’d imagine one of the loan players we’ll go for is Harry Paton.

Who does Paton play for mate?

Huge gulf in class between the sides it has to be said.

With the mounting debt and attendances dropping like a whores drawers I suspect Raith will soon become the biggest part time club in the lower leagues, (apart from Clyde of course).

    Quite pleasing actually.

Being an east fife fan it is probably the only pleasure you get

Thanks for your input,  but you are talking pish,  the seaside league sounds great initially,  a few away days somewhere different, teams you haven't met for a while..   The long and short of it is , it is bloody hard to get out off as rait h are finding out,  the football from most sides is mind numbingly boring and you get skinned 16notes for the privilege...  Therein lies the problem,   A couple of years back the Raith stand behind the g o a l would have been nearly full.   Tonight probably about a th ir d full,   Next year probably le ss again same as ourselves,   Death by a thousand cuts scenario,  depressing yes,   Factual He ll yes..

good luck at Palmerston by the way.

Over the last 3-4 years the support hasn't dropped that much. The issue is the two men and a dog away supports that greatly reduces the average attendances. We also have Fife flyers in the town to compete with which doesn't help.

The Flyers has a huge impact on our attendances, Kirkcaldy is an average sized Scottish town with 2 full time pro sports teams competing for fans and sponsors, when flyers where in SNL rovers crowds where up now they are in EIHL they are down

Same Celtic source - Regan Hendry (nickname given by Celtic coaches as “flatter to deceive” - which has merit when you think of it, despite all the panty wetting he never scored or created a single goal in his last spell at Raith) signing on loan for Raith tomorrow.

hopefully true thought he was a good player can see why they say that though but I'm sure john will sort him out

This is exciting. People are actually happy for a change! The BoD have made a good call and the announcement was well done with a bit of class. Never would have thought McGlynn would come back in all honesty but it's quite a coup from the board so well done to them.

Well done also to Wardy too! Throughout the whole time he never wavered and persisted with his canvassing for McGlynn.

Hopefully this is what the club needed to bring everyone back on the same track and get us all moving forward together.

Thank f**k Barry Smiths gone is all I can say. Never liked the guy anyway.

lol your some guy hans/eric/martin , today is a good day thou

He failed to win the league, he failed to win the playoffs. I'm not going to deny that he should have shouldered some of the responsibility for this but our league win/unbeaten statistics under him with his tactics show that maybe they weren't as bad as some would like to make out on here.

My point still stands that Cuthbert comes accords as an idiot in his interviews.

In between his football cliches I did notice he was being very cuddly with his opposite number Petrie. Full of praise and admiration for the Montrose manager before the game. Might be getting his brownie points in early for his new gaffer?

I find myself agreeing with you on some points especially Barry smith but idiot is a bit strong about Cuthbert, I like him, his passion for his job,for telling yogi where to go BUT he isn't ready to be our manager, too much pressure to be promoted this season. Petrie yeah why not, gained promotion so willing to give him my backing even if he is a townie c#%t lol
